I hardly post in this topic but read it frequently and thought it would be interesting to see what recommendations you got from here that turned out to be great. I always prefer to come here instead of reading reviews that could be paid for. These are the two I’m forever grateful for

Ancient & Brave true collagen- seeing results after 5 months, will continue

Dermatica- completely eradicated acne that I had for 30 years and tried every blood cream and diet going!

The soft buttery leggings from Amazon! WFH staple last winter with slipper boots a vest, shirt and a big cardi for between meetings

Ooh which ones are these? I could do either some new leggings for WFH

Using dettol anti bac bar soap. Less sweaty pits through the day, and less lingering/stubborn sweaty pits in clothes

I need to get some for DS!
Any particular variety ? - I see there is Original, Lasting Fresh, Sensitive and Fresh.

I just bought the original. It has quite a fresh almost citrusy scent? I think it was from body care or savers, 2 bars for about £1.50

Yes , the buttery leggings

I have a couple of pairs but mainly wear them indoors .

Not see-through if you get the right size

These ones. They're really soft and comfy I only really wear them at home or occasionally on the school run on a WFH day, so they're not exactly being tested, but they seem to wash/wear well. I only have black ones but they do loads of colours.

Revlon hair styler, far better than my Big Hair styler although I think that was also a MN recommendation many years ago. 😬

Which hair styler are you using? I have the babyliss big hair and am not in love with it

VeryStressedMum · 24/08/2025 21:09

I have just seen which one thanks

Kerastase shampoo and cond.

🙄🙄🙄

First learned of it here about 5/6 years ago. It's £££ but gave it a go and wow! Tried to wean myself off it several times - sigh. Literally just ordered a load more. Nothing is as good !
Bloody Style and Beauty

Could not agree more.
There are many things I would cut down on before stopping Kerastese. As soon as I start a new bottle I order another as I never want to be without it!

Sweaty Betty Gary yoga pants. I mean it’s typical they don’t make them anymore but I found them in the outlet and loved them so much I went back for a second pair. I’ve lived in them at home over the summer.

I miss the Gary yoga pants.

There are brilliant. I wish they brought them back!

I just bought my first tubing mascara 2 days ago thanks to this thread. OMFG. I bought 2 of the Tarte ones to try in brown and black and am converted already! It swished right off with micellar water and looked great all day!

Glaize nails. I read about them on here and thought I'd give them a try.

Game changed 😀. Up until the last five years ive always painted my nails myself. I cannot do nails that need "proving" under a lamp as I have Horners syndrome which means I don't react to temperature hot or cold and iv e also developed Essential Tremor, which means I don't have the dexterity to paint my nails.

Gaize nails I can just about manage.

Blueuggboots · 24/08/2025 22:49

No pong natural deodorant. I’ve been using wild for a few years but wasn’t 100% happy as it tends to leave white marks on your clothes. Love no pong!

Blueuggboots · 24/08/2025 22:51

does the tubing mascara irritate your eyes? I have dry eyes and loads of mascaras make my eyes sore….

No, it doesn’t make me rub my eyes at all.

What is tubing mascara ?

JudgingJudy · 24/08/2025 23:18

It's a type of mascara that coats the lashes and forms a sort of tube around them. It comes off with warm water and looks like spiders legs on the cotton pad. No flaking at all. I'm currently using a no 7 brand.
I recognize it by the instruction to remove with warm water. It becomes like plastic, and is not water or oil soluble. It just slips off with a warm cotton pad. PP recommended an ELF one

The Densifique range. (i might have spelt that wrong !)

The cream coloured packaging one. It is for thickening actually.

I've got thick, coarse hair so use the Chroma Absolu, but if you go on their website there's a tool to use which will recommend the best products for you.

Often cheaper to buy via Look Fantastic or Sephora though.

Westfacing · 25/08/2025 08:27

LVL lash lift - it really works and last around six weeks.

I have dark lashes and enough of them but they are ramrod straight and I find lash curlers ineffective.
