The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

I've got so much including a huge tub but it's such a faff and I work from home too. Do I ever remember though to wet my hair and put it on. Twice I think.

Just remembered that there will be two versions of the CB advent, looks like we’ve seen the UK only one now (with fragrances), so there will be some other replacement items in the version available internationally.

I'm just catching up after a long and busy day and I scrolled past your post too fast. I initially thought I'd read "Argos - maybe they all think.." and I spent a moment or two pondering what would be in an Argos AC.

CB is definitely disappointing. I’m waiting for Space NK reveal, maybe Vogue too. I’m down to Liberty at the moment and I’m not even sure about it either.
I do have Harrods beauty and the fragrance pre ordered. 😊

The calendars aren’t really exciting me this year - which is a relief as I already have way too much stuff to use up!

Liberty is still my favourite so far, but I do think that it’s excessively expensive for the size of the products inside. I have a voucher to use by January, so will probably get it, but I’m not sure whether I would otherwise.

Cult Beauty has too many DoDs for me. I don’t like all the lip glosses and oils, or any of the makeup shades. Mind you, CB hasn’t interested me for the past couple of years. I don’t think that I’m really in their target age range.

Were they this coy about the contents last year. Does enyone enjoy this drip feeding.

I very much suspect that this is CB trying to get rid of shades they can’t sell!

Not me. I find the drip feeding very onerous.

As it stands, I have Harrods (both) and Liberty. M&S and the Boots (luxury) might tempt me when I see full contents -I have enough advantage card points to get Boots ‘free’. Hoping SNK is good for DD and I’m curious about Vogue. But I think I might have advent fatigue as none of these others are remotely close to tempting me. Not a bad thing, It’s a bloody miracle though!

Oh that’s nothing. Last year was something else! Quicker to name what I didn’t have - and I'm not joking 🙈.

I also want to use up things this year and not use my skin as test lab :). I am happy with my skincare and makeup. I will be interested seeing Space Nk

I think in previous years we have been spoilt , and now that there are now so many advents to choose from that it's inevitable we see the same products reoccurring and useless drawer fillers. I especially enjoy the advents since the demise of beauty counters on the high street . I feel I have my own little multi brand shop at home . Would madame like a spray of Dear Polly today ?

I'm interested in the Boots skincare AC so far. If I like the rest of the contents - hoping for more Korean products and lip products - then it will be a great way to spend my advantage points.
Liberty is still looking the best for me & by the beginning of September I'll have enough credit/loyalty vouchers to cover it completely. CB has some great products, but I'm disappointed with the make up. It's such a shame that the Recycle scheme didn't continue with £40 a month credit. It would have been great to get free (& eBay the unwanted items).
Looking forward to seeing what Space NK, John Lewis, Sephora & M&S contain. No info on Latest in Beauty yet. The last couple of years I've bought it for under £100 on tiktok shop.
If only I could cherry pick my favourite items from CB and Selfridges to make my AC.

I signed up to Anthropologie perks on Thursday and have a £20 voucher this morning. Now do I need the advent calendar?

I had a dream last night that Liberty did crackers labelled 1-25 available for purchase individually, and we all went wild trying to figure out which ones were worth buying and collecting them all, and they lined up upright to make the Liberty building outline. I probably need a break from this thread 😂.

I’m getting stressed thinking about having one cracker missing and how much I would be willing to pay to fill the gap 😅.

I bet it resembled the scenes from last years Harrods AC in-store scramble!

I decided against the advent calendar and went for a nice autumn candle for the home instead 😍 it's arriving today

Looking forward to the Space NK reveal. Just looked at the box on an instagram video and day 25 looks big this year so maybe something more exciting than an SPF!

Also looking forward to it. I'm hoping it's 'the one'. If not I think I may end up with just buying LF or Boots or possibly Fenwick later in the year if they combine with gwp. This is the current plan but of course is subject to change!

I've got a Vinted package out for delivery today. I bought a tiny sample pot of the Harrods calendar Evidens face mask for a fiver. As it's one of the star products I decided to try it out as a make or break on Harrods AC.
