Recommend me a chunky cosy wool jumper

I am after a brand that does good quality chunky pure wool or alpaca jumpers in neutral colours. I already shop in the likes of Arket and Cos. Also rate Celtic but wanted a bit of an upgrade. I know Babaa have what I am looking for, but ideally something a bit more affordable...Are there certain brands you'd recommend to go for? Don't mind spending more, maybe up to £200

This does look great, a shame all out of stock in my size!

Icewear jumpers are amazing. The downside is paying to ship from Iceland, but the quality is excellent.

Not that helpful as it's pretty much sold out but I have this and it's very similar to (but much better wearing!) than Babaà jumpers (which I also have and don't think are really worth the cost).

Peregrine is excellent and real wool.

You can often find pieces on Vinted too if you don't want to invest.

Me and Em sale is definitely worth a look

There are some really nice jumpers in the White Company sale. Still pricy though!

Navy Grey jumpers are brilliant. Excellent quality, perfect sizing, just the right level of chunkiness, cosy, and most important of all - no itch!

navy grey

I was going to recommend Navygrey too! I have two jumpers from there and they are lovely. Also can second &Daughter as recommended by @Britpopbaby - lovely traditional jumpers.

Jaggery London is another brand with a v-similar style to Babaà, chunky, lightweight pure wool or cotton. Not much cheaper but you can get some bargains on Vinted.

Thanks everyone, lots of food for thought! I love the look of Navygrey, so will check them out. Does anyone know if they ever have a sale?

Navy Grey jumpers are quite short - if that's not your thing. I have an average length torso and my two NG jumpers skim my jeans (annoyingly - I'd prefer longer...).

AndSoFinally · 04/01/2025 11:04

I came to recommend my favourite jumper, but it turns out it is by Babaa, so no help other than to say totally worth the extra £80 spend because it's completely gorgeous!

I am petite, so cropped/short length actually works best for me

Would love to know what that Babaa jumper is :)
