Recommend me a chunky cosy wool jumper

I am after a brand that does good quality chunky pure wool or alpaca jumpers in neutral colours. I already shop in the likes of Arket and Cos. Also rate Celtic but wanted a bit of an upgrade. I know Babaa have what I am looking for, but ideally something a bit more affordable...Are there certain brands you'd recommend to go for? Don't mind spending more, maybe up to £200

House of Bruar has some gorgeous jumpers.

These all look a bit too old fashioned, plus I'd prefer something with no pattern

Navy Grey don’t really do sales but they do sell repaired/renewed items - sign up for their emails and you'll get notified when they're available. They tend to sell very quickly!

I am familiar with Sezane, but unfortunately find their quality has gone downhill plus the jumper in the link looks lightweight? I am looking for something more heavyweight/ chunky

Definitely Navy Grey if you're petite. They are lovely and cosy!

EllaPaella · 04/01/2025 13:59

I love a jumper and am currently coveting several from this company but they are unfortunately way out of my price range https://www.perfectmoment.com/en-gb

I recommend Woolovers www.woolovers.com. I'm wearing their guernsey jumper at present.

EllaPaella · 04/01/2025 14:04

Have a look at Finisterre as well OP - great quality.

SnappyGreyLemur · 04/01/2025 14:26

I second Finisterre. I also like the look of the Toast Orla jumper and there is also Oubas who are stalking me on Facebook.

@Howmanyroses it's this one 🥰

These are absolutely gorgeous - I am torn now. Finisterre looks good too, just unsure about the weight of those - they look a bit lightweight on the site. The colours are gorgeous though

Came to say Navygrey (repaired/renewed for budget) and &Daughter (Outnet for budget) but I see I've been beaten to it Grin

crackinghead · 04/01/2025 20:59

I have this and love it, they bring it out every year in different colours stories

AnotherFuckingUsername · 04/01/2025 21:12

Suggest looking at either black sheep knitwear or le tricoteur. Both have lovely natural knitwear.

mullettraitor · 04/01/2025 21:50

Ah, apols OP misread your post! All I can say Babaa are well worth the money, a real lifetime investment piece.

This does look great, a shame all out of stock in my size!

H and m, marks and sparks, monsoon.

roses2 · 04/01/2025 22:10

My Massimo Dutti long chunky alpaca cardigan has lasted well unlike my White Company chunky alpaca short cardigan which bobbled a lot after only a few wears.

You could knit it for a third of the price in the same or similar wool. I do love it but cannot justify the price. If it's hand knitted it would be worth that. Winter project? Knit and chat group? You have great taste it's super lovely.
