@IlovePond 14th September I bought sale stuff last year. There seems to be a new video on 6th September so I assume new stuff.
Did anyone watch the men’s video last week? I thought the Kantha pinafore was lovely on Evie but not one for those of us with busts.

Reworn items added!

Liking the Kitty clogs on Reworn (and in my size too) but just don’t need another pair of clogs or even footwear 😀

Seems to be a lot of very small sizing on the Reworn site this time. Love the tank top that was shown first earlier, the multi coloured one but XXS. They give length but not pit to pit.

I’ve got those clogs @ToastCosILoveIt - I got them at SM last summer. They are very nice but I am scared to wear them outside the house for fear of them falling off my feet. They are comfortable but don’t feel particularly secure.

They have gone now @IlovePond - just as well, although as I have some Birkenstock clogs and a pair from Pluto, I think I am covered in the clog department. Looking at them though reminds me to get mine out and wear them.

I must try wearing mine outside @ToastCosILoveIt - I had actually forgotten about them until I saw the same ones on Reworn!

I will be passing the SM shop again next week, so I’ll post some pics if there’s anything interesting.

Tbh, going to SM is nowhere near as exciting now that they have stopped having a few sample rails available all year round. Nowadays, apart from the very good ‘sample sales’, (that they don’t really advertise/give much in the way of advance notice about), all that’s usually there is old sale stock. This is sometimes more expensive than its last sale price online, so you have to be careful of looking for a bargain. (I still usually end up buying something, though…)

I happened to see the Toast advert for the new men’s overalls in a lovely deep green—there doesn’t appear to be a women’s version. I’m wondering if anyone has purchased any of the men’s stock for themselves and how the sizing works? I do a lot of maintenance work and usually stick on some old blue overalls but I could seriously be persuaded to get these, they look so nice.

@MiracleToast They're a fantastic design, aren't they? I've been admiring lots of the Men's collection this year.

Sadly I'm not at all male shaped, so most of it will drown me from underbust through waist. Unless I can find the exact right borrowed-this-from-a-large-male style ... a midriff corset/deep belt perhaps?

@Stravaig Love that image! I vote you bring back that look asap! Yes, I too have been really impressed by the men’s line. I’m finding Toasts ‘workwear’ genuinely so useful. I basically live in the lichen carpenter trousers now. Definitely will have to try the overalls on and see if they work…

@MiracleToast i wear some of the men’s stuff but I’ve only tried tops/ shirts/jackets, I generally find Small/medium is best - I am 14ish in real life, and generally wear a toast medium, but some Large lately in tops. I find that the waist/hips can be problematic because what works at shoulder/chest level sometimes makes for a too narrow waist. Trousers would all be too long for me but I’m only small!

@Snowyowl78 thankyou, this is so helpful for sizing. I also usually wear a medium so this helps me greatly! Just by the svelte 6’2 model I was thinking I could go with his medium size and roll up the legs or hem them. Will update for others if interested when I’ve done so.

@MiracleToast just noticed it says ‘relaxed fit’ on those, so maybe you’d be ok in the small? Also in other trousers etc, they only go down to a Small, whereas these overalls go to an XS, which possibly suggests they come up large. Look forward to hearing how you get on! There is a men’s Japanese chambray jacket that I’ve been wanting to get for ages, but Toast are clean out of them. I’ve been stalking all the second hand sites!!

Has anyone got the Ola Fracaps? I am finding a hard bit of leather on both outer sides is rather painful on the foot. It’s on the buckle strap where the strap attaches to the foot bed. In complete contrast to all the reviews I’ve read on the website! I am hoping it will soften up??

I have them @Snowyowl78 - what colour do you have? I find the leather must softer in the Olive compared to the Black and Tan. (Can you tell I love them?) I didn’t find the olive needed time to soften and really comfortable from the get go, but the others did need some time. Having said that, I didn’t have any major bits bothering me, and found the fit really suited my feet (hence the many colours) - more so than some of the other Fracap sandals styles.

@FitzLea ooh you have quite the collection! Tempted by the Olive now. These ones are tan, they’re from Toast reworn so I assumed someone would have softened them for me! Although looking at them they are pristine so maybe they donated them new (!) I’m wearing them with socks to try and break them in! Everywhere else they are very comfortable.

Hi, I popped into Toast SM today, but there was not a lot in the outlet section. I was tempted to try on the full price dark blue cotton dress with black stripe but didn’t see my size. Maybe next time.

Disappointing time of the year all round @IlovePond . Maybe the dress will be in the next sale.
Weather dreadful here. I’m trying not to wear trousers every day. Hoping a few new releases next week will cheer things up. I’m reluctant to go over to full blown autumn clothing though.

@Countmeout are there really going to be new things next week? I'm in a permanent state of not knowing what to wear. Too fat to feel comfortable in trousers( how did that happen) and I just don't know what to wear on my legs and feet with dresses now it's chilly here and sneakers don't feel quite right. It's definitely too early for boots, and I'm definitely too old (68) to wear thick ankle socks with a dress. Something new would certainly cheer me up!
