Somewhat lighthearted! Grin

So, on TikTok/ Instagram etc, it seems that pink Stanley cups are the next big accessory! I must admit, they do look very pretty!

Who's buying one for their spring wardrobe?

I got 2 last year in an outlet store in America for $10 each. Not really sure what was wrong that they were so cheap. I didn't realise they were popular and teen DD was well chuffed when I showed her, explaining the hype.
The kids take them on days out in the car and we've used them like flasks. Youngest DD has left hers in school now to refill there everyday..
They are so heavy when filled to cart around.
No way would I pay full price.
Marketing has done its job.

They look a little bit like a Lego persons cup

WTAF!
🤣🤣🤣

The whole point of a reusable cup is that it's not a trend. It's meant to reduce consumption, not drive it.

I fancied one as keeps ice solid to use at work. Not bothered about make. Does anyone who has any of other brands know which ones would keep ice solid for at least 10 hours

God no all that straw sucking is a recipe for wrinkles. I'd rather smoke a fag 😂

<snort> yup!

I think it's lovely that an old company has seen a boost, but personally they're not for me. Ive got a smaller steel insulated cup that either keeps hot or cold. Just a shade larger than a coke can and fits in my cupholder. Also leakproof and no straws etc.
Im not particularly driven by trend so I'll stick with what I know and like.

Good on Stanley though!

So…they leak unless you spend more money on an additional product. Therefore - they leak.

What does the leak stopper actually do? And why do you need three?

Lea1661 · 29/03/2024 15:34

I don’t know they just come in packs of three but I like mine an limited mobility I don’t have to keep getting up and down so they handy for me an stay cold all day an night if the kids ain’t in to help me but every as their own opinion on them yeti are just as expensive I like the 20oz but you have to buy a handle separately unless you get the flip down straw ones

I’ve watched it about space etc but for me they are good idea an it’s not like I’ve got 100 s like some of them lol now that is crazy walls an walls full two will do for me an a small one as I can’t hold things an they drop out my hands I don’t like the disability cups with a spout an I’ve always used a cup like that but they don’t keep the ice in them or the drinks cold for that long so I’ve had the cheaper version an I don’t want to buy a fake as they ain’t bpa free

Pickingmyselfup · 30/03/2024 18:42

Someone at work has one and it's pretty but I don't like drinking through a straw so no good for me and I'm not paying loads for a water bottle that I can't chuck in my bag.

I can see how they would be useful if you were sat at a desk all day and wanted a drink on hand but I often drink on the go at work so I like something I can pour down my throat.

I've had so many bottles in my time but always come back to the same ones. No straw, just a spout, no handle, wrist strap and different sizes. I get mine from Amazon, I think they used to be honeyholly but they only seem to do metal ones with no spout, either just an open cup or a straw.

Had a look just now for a different brand, same style, 1l £1.5 which is much better. I couldn't justify £40+ on a cup but I can justify £65 on a gym set so whatever floats your boat really. It's clearly popular because of social media but so are a lot of things. I could pay less for a gym set but I like gymshark so I pay the money and I was probably influenced by some social media post all those years ago but I can't remember how I found them now. 5 years down the line they are my go to brand because they last, the quality is good, colours are good, they are flattering and their customer service is pretty good too.
