Christmas party dress - yay or nay?

Is this dress good for an office christmas party do you think? Then I've got some dinner parties to go to and I thought it would work for new years eve too. What do you think? Is it a bit much?

Apart from the cut, shape and sleeve style. Inspired by / a derivative of / watered down cheaper version.

I see it as the ‘cerulean blue’ of a Vampires Wife dress. If you don’t, that’s cool.

Wear what you want. Some people on here are so rude! Not everyone has the same style but there is no need to take the piss if you don't like something.

It’s appropriate for a woman in her 60s. I’m 34, I wouldn’t wear it.

It's not ageist to say a particular dress or style is maybe more suited or targeted to a demographic. You did ask for opinions!

How old are you? It’s a bit frumpy. Im mid 40s and wouldn’t wear that. It’s the sort of thing my mum (mid 60s) would wear.

Right I'm not looking at this thread anymore. It's just a load of people laughing at it or being ageist.

I don't get the hate for the dress. I like it and I'm sure you'll look lovely in it. You've already said you're not particularly confident with your figure so you need to wear something that you feel will be flattering and appropriate for your figure, there's no point wearing something more cutting edge if you'll look uncomfortable and self-conscious all night.

I like your original dress more than any other Monsoon dress that other posters have suggested, I think your dress is the least frumpy of all the options. I'd probably wear it and I'm 32.
