…..a “Rains” rain jacket.

It was the first rainy autumnal feeling day this season and almost every adult was wearing a Rains rain coat, including me.

I mean I didn’t buy it to be ‘radical’ or ‘different’ - but I didn’t realise they were such a thing?! Like a uniform. Made me laugh a bit.

Is it the same in other places?

I’m in an affluent town commuter distance from London.

Ha! Well they do the job and you don't look like a geography teacher in them, and they're very reasonably priced for a very effective waterproof, I suppose

They just look like a waterproof Mac from the quick Google, a slightly thicker waterproof material perhaps.

They’re unremarkable aren’t they?! My great Aunty Mary had a turquoise coat just like one of the website in the late 70s. People really will buy any old shit if they think it’s fashionable.
