…..a “Rains” rain jacket.

It was the first rainy autumnal feeling day this season and almost every adult was wearing a Rains rain coat, including me.

I mean I didn’t buy it to be ‘radical’ or ‘different’ - but I didn’t realise they were such a thing?! Like a uniform. Made me laugh a bit.

Is it the same in other places?

I’m in an affluent town commuter distance from London.

I am a Uniqlo blocktech fan myself. Though I wish they did more colours.

Never heard of Rains

I had to google them. Hideous looking at very overpriced.

Just looked - they’re literally bog standard water proof looking coats at inflated prices. How do you even know people were wearing that brand? You saw people wearing rain coats… when it’s raining. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Badly styled? They're raincoats.

I've wanted one for a while but they are above my budget, now I know they have peaked I'll be less fussed. I'd still like a backpack thought.

I had to google to see what they are, I've not seen anyone wearing one round here.
They look like the rain macs my grandmother used to try and make me wear when I'd go off horse riding and would have had me thrown out by the cool kids at the stables.
I had a red cagoule that packed up small in the pocket of my well worn parka and was only brought out if there was torrential rain.

Ah yes i know of this brand like their bags but way too expensive for my budget! The raincoats do look very stylish and they do indeed look well made!

I've got one, has it a few years now. It's plain, drapes nicely, nice detailing like the buttons etc and a really practical hood. I love it! Haven't seen too many of them around though
