Apparently skinny jeans are back 'in'!

All I can say is 'Ha! Ha!'.

I've still got them in my wardrobe. Won't be fairly embarrassed wearing them now. Will also keep on enjoying me wide legs and 'mum' styles.

It made me giggle, though. It seems that as soon as anyone approaching middle aged wearing any particular style happens then a new an opposite style has to occur! 😂 Well, 'Mwhah, ha, ha!It takes me a while to throw stuff away. So I will remain perfectly cutting edge.😁'.

And the fashion bods will have to keep on rolling through those styles as soon as I get my middle aged arse into them!😂

Skinny jeans really suit my figure so I would just carry on wearing them regardless of whether they are in / out of style.

They didn’t ever really go out. Just other styles also came in fashion. My young adult daughter and her trendy friends never stopped wearing them,

Were they ever properly out? Whenever I go shopping for jeans there are so many styles of skinny and only the odd wide leg / mom jeans around anyway. I never stopped wearing skinnies - can say I was ahead of the fashion trend lol

@Janieforever that's what I thought. I maybe did wonder momentarily whether where I live was deeply 'uncool' but that is just stupid and regionalist! Shops still have been selling them. I only doubted when I read posts on here!🧐

I used to love a skinny jean as my legs are my best feature. So skinny jean, oversize jumper and boots was a favourite look. But that is out. As it all seems about crop tops and baggy cargos that I can’t do.

My compromise is a slim boyfriend or straight leg with a top tucked in.

I’d also like a low rise/mid rise jean to come back (heard they were) as I don’t like the high rise jeans

I think sometimes people on here will declare something as out or old fashioned when they don’t particularly like a style themselves and are trying to influence others.

My total 5"4 height is about 70% leg so they are the only kind that looks good on me.

(I did buy a pair of mum jeans just to try another style, and my DH asked me very politely to put my skinnies back on and to never wear ‘those hideous baggy monstrosities’ ever again)

I've never stopped wearing them and certainly haven't been embarrassed to either.
