So I bought a new dress yesterday and have been stopped at work and in shops to ask where I got it, its really flattering and a lovely colour so if anyone is looking for a new dress I'd highly recommend this one 😃Floral Square Neck Midi Smock Dress

I like it! But like all midi / maxi dresses it would look hideous on me (short arse).

I love it and would buy it immediately if the sleeves a little shorter.

Yes we saw very similar style dresses when we were in Farnham the other day. Same shirred bodice and skirt with ruffle at the bottom. Short sleeves though and print was more 'Liberty' print with little flowers. Looked really cute on my daughter, was only £29 but Miss Fussy didn't go for it.

Like the colour. Don't like the print or the tiers or the puff sleeves. So hard to get a plain simple dress these days.

It's got zero shape to it.

Smocking is fantastic on dresses. It makes the dress really fit your shape but isn't restrictive at all. There's another thread on here about must have items and I added mine then kicked myself after as I'd not added smocked dresses.

I hate viscose too. Blend Square Neck Shirred Midi Dress | M&S Collection | M&S (marksandspencer.com). There's this in cotton which is similar.

I like shirred waist but why does it always have to go with poufy sleeves.

I think it's terrible even on this model, it has no shape. But obviously it must look good on you if you've had so many compliments, so good find!

Is it difficult to find a bra to wear with it that doesn't show? The neck looks so wide I think most bra straps would show, plus it's quite low cut which could show the top of the bra.

I cannot wait for this hideous trend of shapeless, flour sack like dresses to die.

I like it, and the colours are very flattering on me. Sadly the wrong shape for me (I'm short) but on the right body shape, I can see why this would look great.

This is actually lovely, especially the way it sinches at the waist without clinging to the hips! Colour isn't for me mind but it's a lovely cut (and makes a change from those bloody flour sacks that are drowning out the stock of normal dresses!).
