I have wasted so much money on "comfortable" sandals

Over the years. I end up with sandals that are neither pretty/stylish nor properly comfortable by trying to get something that fit both bills.

But these are OK? I think?

Sorry OP, I personally think they’re awful 😳 Have you tried Birkenstocks? They’re not the most beautiful shoes ever but are super comfy and I’ve seen them on plenty of stylish women…

Pixiedust1234 · 14/05/2023 18:17

They look similar to the ones posted on the Hotter thread. Have a look on that?

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 14/05/2023 18:17

I recommend Saltwater sandals. Mine are 5 years old now and still look brand new.

I agree. Sorry. They also don’t look comfortable to me.

TheChosenTwo · 14/05/2023 18:21

Sorry op, I don’t think these come under pretty OR stylish 😳

Wingdongthebitchisdead · 14/05/2023 18:21

Fitflops are amazing. I have some leather sandals and a pair of trainers and both are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. Some styles are too old for me, but their plain leather sandals and white trainers have been a bloody godsend. I can't cope with uncomfortable shoes any more. Not a bad price either.

BCBird · 14/05/2023 18:24

I like em

WeAreTheHeroes · 14/05/2023 18:26

Have a look on the Skechers website. I have broad feet, a high instep and cannot wear anything flat as there's not enough arch support. Everything I have from Skechers is very comfortable, from toe post flip flops to sandals to trainers.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/05/2023 18:44

I don't like the white soles on those, sorry. My Hotter thread has mixed viewpoints, but I really like the look of them and I'm hoping they are going to be as comfortable as people say they are.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/05/2023 18:45

@MissDynamite23 They're lovely but ouch re the price!

VintageThoughts · 14/05/2023 18:46

I like them too. My 17 year old DD has some very similar. Loads of people were wearing similar ones on holiday last summer.

ElmTree22 · 14/05/2023 18:47

Birkenstock's are the most comfortable shoes known to mankind 😍

UndercoverCop · 14/05/2023 18:50

Birkenstocks give me blisters. Last couple of summers I've written seasalt sandals, the softest leather you can imagine and the soles are padded and flexible.
Probably not going to win any fashion awards but I like them

TwoFluffyDogsOnMyBed · 14/05/2023 18:56

I quite like them in gold or blue…the buckle is nice. Skechers used to be great for high comfy wedges but they’re not as good these days. Same with Crocs wedges. Carvela Comfort are quite good….I had some that looked quite delicate but lasted a couple of summers of very heavy wear.

UndercoverCop · 14/05/2023 18:56

These are some of the ones I have. I'd never shopped there before, but they did great blue light discount during Covid !

I like the Gabor ones too, although I like them with suede uppers rather than leather, as they destroy my feet less.

I have very difficult feet too, and Gabor is pretty comfortable, and I don't think looks that bad, compared to what else I could be wearing!

Go for them, if you like them.

Wenfy · 14/05/2023 19:01

I have narrow feet - for me Tevas, Doc Martens work.

summerisontheway · 14/05/2023 19:01

I thought Debenhams had gone bust?
Hotter has a sale on at the moment and are made in the UK.

I really like Sorel sandals! Comfy and stylish enough.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 14/05/2023 19:02

The Seasalt ones have no arch support. How can they be comfy? They look flimsy

MerryChristmasToYou · 14/05/2023 19:02

What brands/styles have you tried, @Bluemuf ?

Shouldhavebutdidnt · 14/05/2023 19:04

Always Teva’s for me - been wearing them for at least 2 decades, comfortable, long lasting and decent for long walking days
