Right, I have decided to do something about the appalling lack of stylish hooded waterproof coats - all that want one pls give you your requirements

And I will email the thread to a few companies and see if they will do something about it.

There are threads about this so often that there is clearly a market for it.

All suggestions gratefully welcomed.

So, I will start

I think that something in a smartish waterproof but breathable fabric (must be washable) with the following;

Style - A choice of plain straight, belted straight or A-line.

Colours - Black, Brown, Navy, Biscuit, Cream. Also seasonal colours would be good I guess.

Hood - Option of detatchable or not

Lining - zip out washable padded lining so you can wear on the tube to work without sweltering and zip it in when you go out in the cold. Choice of plain or patterned would be ideal.

Pockets - decent sized with a closing flap thing to fill with tissues and random crap

What a top idea - I have gone down the Boden route but a)it looks too Boden and b)the hood is a sort of half-hood size - not much good on a bike in the rain. Also far from flattering - my ideal coat would be slightly fitted and mid-thigh length, big pockets and drawstring hood that can be detached.
