Dress

I kinda love it but appreciate that many might think it's heinous 🤣. Have seen it on a few people on Instagram and it looks lovely. Cotton as well.

Have bought and will try on but it could go either way.

Nay

and I usually love floral vintage wear

Hoolahulahoop · 05/05/2022 11:03

The shape isn't going to flatter but there is something nice and carefree about it so I see why you like it.

AnyFucker · 05/05/2022 11:03

May and thrice nay

Looks like my nan’s curtains

tulipsunday · 05/05/2022 11:03

Not my taste but if you try it on and feel great in it go for it!

turkeyboots · 05/05/2022 11:05

My MiL gave me her old maternity smock which was very similar!
I like it though. And cheap enough to give it a go.

Finfintytint · 05/05/2022 11:05

If you love it, then wear it.
it’s not for me though as it reminds me of a continental quilt cover I had in the seventies 😁

CoffeeBeansGalore · 05/05/2022 11:05

Someone swallowed 1973 & threw it up on fabric. Sorry no.

NoToLandfill · 05/05/2022 11:06

Lovely if you have stepped back in time to 1978 and are pregnant.

KStockHERO · 05/05/2022 11:06

Absolutely not.

The print is lovely for all kinds of things. But not clothing.
The style/fit is absolutely horrendous.

Walk away.

ImplementingTheDennisSystem · 05/05/2022 11:10

For once it looks terrible on that model. Her skin is so pale, you'd need a tan to pull this one off!

JofraArchersFastestBall · 05/05/2022 11:11

Oh... I love it!

PorkySisyphus · 05/05/2022 11:11

Well this is going as I envisioned 🤣

Tbf I have tastes that don't often align with the S&B majority so it makes sense.

I just like how wafty and retro it looks. Plus I love a square neck.

Will report back when it arrives.

I absolutely love it but do have a penchant for poofy dresses that look like my granny’s curtains.

mynameiscalypso · 05/05/2022 11:13

I have no issue with the pattern but the style would make the vast majority of people look like a sack of spuds.

MrsMoastyToasty · 05/05/2022 11:14

I had curtains in my childhood bedroom just like that circa 1976.

EmergencyPoncho · 05/05/2022 11:15

I like it! And I'm slightly chortling as I have a penchant for a massive frock and it freaks my DH out.

WildCoasts · 05/05/2022 11:15

I like it. It's bright and comfy looking and easy wear.

ShirleyPhallus · 05/05/2022 11:17

Just why is the line under the bust so high?!

Gunpowder · 05/05/2022 11:18

I think fun for someone tanned with slim limbs. Oth

Meandyouandyouandme · 05/05/2022 11:18

I have it and I love it, very comfortable and I love the square neck line. It’s more flattering on than in the photo, at least I think so. Wore it on holiday and my friends thought it looked great.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 05/05/2022 11:19

I really like it! However I have seen it EVERYWHERE - all over instagram, in mags etc - and it will absolutely be “that Sainsbury’s dress”. A bit like the Zara 2019 one but maybe more because it’s such an accessible price point. That puts me off it.,

VioletCharlotte · 05/05/2022 11:20

I've seen this in Sainsburys. The material doesn't feel very nice, I'm not sure what it's quite stiff and doesn't look like it would be very comfortable .

Cottagepieandpeas · 05/05/2022 11:20

I love it. It would make me look huge(er) but I would probably still wear it - I also love a square neck and love the pattern.

SpinMeRightRoundBabyRightRound · 05/05/2022 11:21

I swear my granny had that exact fabric for her kitchen curtains 😂That’s a lot of ironing in the one dress…

Omgwhatthehell · 05/05/2022 11:21

Oh I love this! I am pregnant so could probably wear it now and after the baby's arrived in the summer.
I have a penchant for 70's style prints though. Appreciate that might not be everyone's thing!
