Dress

I kinda love it but appreciate that many might think it's heinous 🤣. Have seen it on a few people on Instagram and it looks lovely. Cotton as well.

Have bought and will try on but it could go either way.

It's a little bit too big abs balloony across the hips.

Pootle40 · 05/05/2022 11:28

Nay. Had wallpaper like it as a child in the 70s

I had curtains in my childhood bedroom just like that circa 1976.

We had those in our kitchen! And wallpaper the same (you can imagine that with the orange and brown kitchen cabinets I'm sure. Gotta love the 70s!) It looks identical.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 05/05/2022 11:31

Nay,nay,nay

Viviennemary · 05/05/2022 11:32

Its pretty awful but kind of charming in its own way.

DarkCorner · 05/05/2022 11:39

Looks awful on the model but I’ve seen it in on a woman a fb group and she looked great. So I think it’s a winner (if you have a slightly quirky style). It’d look hideous on me.

TheQuern · 05/05/2022 11:40

I like the style, not too keen on the fabric

i made something similar and received some nice compliments (which surprised me as I’d made it for comfort, not to look good).

MyneighbourisTotoro · 05/05/2022 11:41

Nope! I really don’t get the appeal of this cut? It’s so shapeless!

TheCanyon · 05/05/2022 11:42

Good god no. My gran had a similar bedspread.

Cornettoninja · 05/05/2022 11:47

Errm…. if you love it it’s not massively offensive so on that basis go for it.

However, I feel the need to share the fact it did trigger a childhood (early 80’s) memory of my childminders foldable garden chairs Grin

ClaudineClare · 05/05/2022 11:47

If you are tall and willowy, yes. It is a bit 70's duvet cover, though.

Echobelly · 05/05/2022 11:49

A bit too 70s maternity for my tastes!

Verite1 · 05/05/2022 11:51

No from me. I quite like oversized dresses but the shape of that is strange - jutting out from the breasts. Also I don’t like the colours either.

Love it

I love 70s style prints and smocks

Time40 · 05/05/2022 11:54

I love the print, but I hate the style. I think most people would look like a walking duvet in that shape.

Willdoitlater · 05/05/2022 11:54

I like it, but would only wear it with a belt.

KatherineJaneway · 05/05/2022 11:54

Nay from me. Sorry but it looks like the kind of print that covered sofa's in the 70's.

Hadjab · 05/05/2022 11:56

Team it with a pair of trainers and it'll be a banger!! Love it!!

InkySquid · 05/05/2022 11:57

Looks like the sort of dress I had in my dressing up box as a child, my grandma's 70s cast offs I think :-)

InkySquid · 05/05/2022 11:58

I'm pretty sure our kitchen blinds were a very similar design too :-)

WilsonMilson · 05/05/2022 11:59

God know, reminds me of wallpaper we had when I was a child. Horrific.

WilsonMilson · 05/05/2022 11:59

I should really preview my posts - that should clearly be God ‘no’ not know. Urgh

bobbythevet · 05/05/2022 11:59

I don't hate it but I think it depends on your colouring- i could see it working for a darker complexion

ChurchlightJane · 05/05/2022 12:00

It's cotton! It had sleeves! It doesn't show my knees! I bought it as soon as I saw it.

My style is retro so it's great for me however I did take the elastic out of the sleeves and now they are more like angel sleeves.

Some vintage Scholls would set it off but I don't wear leather so still looking for shoes.
