I know that it is a question of each to his own etc but what do you find naff in other people's fashion sense?

OP posts:
habibihabibi · 26/06/2021 04:21

General fakery ;
Gaudy nails, especially acrylic talons with stickers and gems.
Artifical hair extensions.
Tipex teeth.
Dark thick, interferred with eyebrows.
Lip fillers.
Loo brush bristle nylon lashes.

StuffinThePuffin · 26/06/2021 04:42

What's tipex teeth?!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 26/06/2021 05:25

I was going to come to say couldn't care less what others wear, eac to their own but tipex teeth had to Grin

Onlinedilema · 26/06/2021 05:30

I agree with habib.

Onlinedilema · 26/06/2021 05:31

Shirtless men anywhere other than in a beach or by a pool.

Standrewsschool · 26/06/2021 05:33

Men were grey hoodies and grey joggers

Bra straps showing

KittyWindbag · 26/06/2021 05:38

When people just refuse to update their haircut. They might be pretty, slim, have nice clothes and all that. But I can’t understand how they don’t see it jars. Anthea Turner is the best example of this. That hair!

Ineedaduvetday · 26/06/2021 05:40

Dungarees

ScottsThots · 26/06/2021 06:04

Lip fillers. Yet to see a single person who looks good with them. Ridiculous.

Sleepingdogs12 · 26/06/2021 06:45

Men with flip flops not at the beach
Men with shoes and no socks
Men in ultra skinny jeans
Shirtless men not at the beach
Lip fillers

TTCAbroad · 26/06/2021 07:14

@ScottsThots what you mean is people with badly done lip fillers. I know a few people who have had some really light-touch lip fillers done and you wouldn’t know unless they told you.

DisgruntledPelican · 26/06/2021 07:18

Couples in matching jackets
Heels where the wearer needs to be supported by a friend or partner to walk properly

Also agree with @KittyWindbag about hairstyles, but the grief that women in the public eye get when they do change their look or style (Carol Vorderman springs to mind) means they’re damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

Dozer · 26/06/2021 07:20

Grin Tippex teeth

Not heard that one before.

camelfinger · 26/06/2021 07:21

When someone looks too preened for day to day life e.g lashes, full make-up, the princess hair.

Wearing an outfit and accessories all in the same colour, especially white grates on me for some reason.

When someone’s going a bit overboard with the deliberately ugly glasses, trainers, cut of jeans style.

I haven’t seen many for a while but when people had really fancy handbags that you couldn’t fit anything in so they accompanied it with a massive cotton bag which kind of spoiled the look.

Miseryisabutterfly · 26/06/2021 07:32

I agree @Onlinedilema! I also don’t like necklaces on men unless they’re Connell from Normal People.

EssentialHummus · 26/06/2021 07:35

Those shirts saying “Mama” or similar, usually in leopard print text.

BlijEi · 26/06/2021 07:48

Couples wearing the same unisex clothing, usually boaters or golfers with the same top and jacket.

Women wearing revealing clothing but then tugging it at it the whole time to try to cover up.

superram · 26/06/2021 07:53

I will talk about me, I wear trainers all the time, often with frilly ankle socks (am old). Wear chub rub shorts. Other people-anything I can see up, down or through. Cut out shoulder tops (just why). Lip fillers.

LunaTheCat · 26/06/2021 09:05

Anything that makes you unable to see the real person - so lots makeup/ bronzer/false eyelashes/fake nails - all at once.

wowhie · 26/06/2021 09:08

men in skin tight skinny jeans
women who try & pull off the urban street look eg nike air maxes & bum bag across their body with a Boden dress & sensible pac a mac.

wowhie · 26/06/2021 09:10

Oh yes hate the Mama, Papa, etc sweatshirts.

I find overdone hair quite naff. Take Kate Middleton I often find she looks quite old fashioned but I think it's the hair not the clothes.

FizzyPink · 26/06/2021 09:11

I actually like hair extensions but so many people have cheap, poorly fitted sets where you can see the tapes through their hair

Bra straps on show

Ruining a nice outfit with a pair of clumpy sports trainers or an anorak

No, they're always awful and obvious. Stop kidding yourself.

NotImpossible · 26/06/2021 09:17

Fake nails. And fake tan. Just can't get my head around it! I genuinely can't understand why people think they look good. Totally bizarre (to me).
