CodDickinson · 16/11/2007 17:45

ok this a new weekly thread that will be amalgamated into the mail out( i'm told) so we can all have a good ol' shufty at certain products.

Are aiming to change it every week( maybe at the weekend so you cna pop into the shops and have a look yourseves) and subject - wise go from the sublime to the ricidulous.

So whether its nail varnish or Knickers we WILL SUSS IT. Together.. Amen.

what we need is your opinions on ech product and if you are willing to try out a new product then PLEASE join in and buy it( any excuse eh?) and then we will set up some kind of testing parameters.

so this week is lip gloss, we are looking for :

  1. Quality of packaging /10
  2. Colour choice
  3. depth of colour
  4. longevity ( this'll be fun testing this)
5 scent
  1. wow factor - does ANYONE even notice.

so that out of 60.

Im going to buy a mid range one i think - maybe Boirjois to get us off to a start.

If you are doing an existing one please look at the colour choices as they are now, not when you bought it in 1992.

EW.

oregonianabroad · 19/11/2007 14:16

I have the clinique lip plumper one and think it can be a bit gloopy.

personally, i think you can't beat carmex.

OliviaMumsnet · 19/11/2007 14:20

CodDickinson · 19/11/2007 16:47

Right.

Laura Mercier - Bronzed Berry, Lip Plumper.

  1. Quality of packaging 7/10
  2. Colour choice 6/10
  3. depth of colour 8/10
  4. longevity ( this'll be fun testing this) 8/10
5 scent 9/10 - was very interesting, sort of minty but not gloopy, felt like putting on Blisteze or something. In a good way.
  1. wow factor - does ANYONE even notice. 6/10 3- a poor score, but I think I chose the wrong colour perhaps.

Total: 44/60

CodDickinson · 20/11/2007 14:45

bagpuss · 20/11/2007 14:48

Cod, no more reviews from me as I couldn't find any in M&S yest. I think they may have removed the make up bit in favour of huge christmas 3 for 2 displays. Bit annoyed as I was looking forward to a nice new lip gloss.

CodDickinson · 20/11/2007 14:49

oh i have a major result

but need to work on it tonight

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 20/11/2007 21:45

  4. longevity ( this'll be fun testing this)8/10 remarkably good actually I am surprised
