Hello perfumed ones, long time no post. I’ve been battling a stationery addiction that meant I couldn’t afford perfume temptation too (at least 50% true though home working and 4yo were getting to be a bit of a strain til school restarted).

Loving the switch to autumnal perfumes - bois d’ascèse this week. Campfire with a creosote edge - though fragrantica bods get tea, whisky, tobacco so what would I know.

SOTD has been Aura by Mugler. This is.....interesting. its almost menthol and medicinal in the beginning but not quite then it settles into a creamy sort of patchouli vanilla spicy soemthing green. Im not quite sure how to describe it tbh. Mine is the EDP for context, apparently the EDT is quite different

I seem to have a lot fewer winter clothes than I remember. I think I'm going to have to brave the shops at some point. I despise clothes shopping at the best of times.
I'm pleased all the covid tests seem to have come back negative.

SOTD Mitsouko, worn with a lovely fluffy grey jumper I bought via Depop BNWT from Other Stories. The seller must be dealing in stolen goods as she has multiple items (current stock) from OS in loads of sizes, and I know I should be all like, oh no, how awful, but...

I'm feeling quite ill today so have only tried tam dao so far and as suspected I really like it :)

I've sent you some samples of some of the ones I've recently tested n loved. Plus a couple of others that you might like 🏵️. It will be interesting to see what you think of them, as perfume is so subjective and we are all so different.
Sotd is Wrappings again. I'm working at 12pm but still feel absolutely exhausted from the rash & infection. I've started taking kefir again in the hope I will soon start feeling better. Frightening figures re. the Imperial coronavirus study today.

I got the new 4160 subscription scent thingy in the post today and I'm not sure I like it.

I stopped my subscription to that lots as I just didn't like any of the offerings.
Also found the videos a bit boring tbh.
I admire Sarah mcartney a lot but most of her creations are SO heavy and alcoholy/tobaccoey yes I've decided they are both actual words and just a bit much for me.
Love SSOTPE and some of the newer ones like FLT and temptation though.
Clouds was lovely too.

It's another cold wet day here so I'm hanging on in with the summer vibes of Ffern Summer 19. I've returned the autumn one.

@teta I’ve returned autumn as well. Good concept poor execution. Will give them one more chance with winter then leave it I think.

Yes I think maybe. I've had samples of tam Dao in the past and it's now a shadow of it's former self. I'm sure I bought it directly from Diptyque. Its not the only brand that's done this though. Some are unrecognisable nowadays.
I'm another not keen on Guerlain apart from Nahema & the Aqua Allegoria's.

No perfume but I'm burning this beautiful pumpkin spice candle which smells incredible
