Have just been working out how long it will take me to lose my excess weight. Horrifyingly my app reckons the start of May if I lose 1.5lb a week. ( 2 stone-ish Blush)

It got me thinking about the last Project Princess thread which was great..and of course there's Harry and Meghan's wedding in May that I/we could use as a target. Just for a bit of fun...anyone?

Would be great to get the previous experts on board if they are around ?

Need to up the ante here, I'm going on holiday in less than 100 days.

This weekend has been a bit of an overdose on chocolate and food ( Blush ) I don't drink alcohol anyway so not got that to worry about.

I bought myself some bath salt ( Dead Sea) to try in my pre-scrub soak
with my Korean Italy towels.

Still using up all the odds'n'ends of shampoo etc. I'll have a proper sort out next Bank Holiday .

Just did a Revolution 3 day tint on my brows (I reckon this needs to go into my weekly To-Do routine)

diamondsandrose · 07/05/2018 22:54

70!!

I was thinking about you last night in the bath 😂 I got peel!!!! With my Korean towels!
And bizarrely enough I think the secret was using Dead Sea salt I got in Tesco

I had grey/brown peely stuff ugh! It was amazing

Turns out I think it was all old fake tan as today I am white as a ghost!!!!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/05/2018 23:52

I did a Dead Sea Salt soak and Korean Italian scrub.
You;re right about the grey skin diamond , I had to get DH to do my back and he was "Eurgh" at the peel (judgey blighter) Grin

I really like them , they don't feel scratchy or leave my skin itchy like the gloves do.

Plan to seek out some fake tan this weekend, I fancy the Isle of Paradise drops ..

diamondsandrose · 13/05/2018 15:09

Oooh isle of paradise?! Tell me more

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/05/2018 15:40

IoP in Boots , there's 3 levels of colour Light/Medium./Dark.

I bought a bottle of Palmers Gradual Tan (having seen it recommended here) I'll use some tonight if I have time.

I bought some Palmers Olive Oil hair masque , put some on last night and just rinsed it today. My hair feels claggy but I'll wash it out properly tomorrow.
I'm going to reach another birthday soon, not a Landmark one though, just another year older.
So I've decided to bite the bullet and grow out my short hair, it will be hellish but I'll go for it.

diamondsandrose · 13/05/2018 19:36

I keep going back to garnier summer glow it's so cheap and the huge bottle lasts forever

Did gel nails and toes in front of Eurovision last night! Red toes , pale pinky clear fingers. Sensationail lamp but cheap amazon colours, will see how long they last

OutofSyncGirl · 13/05/2018 22:59

Sorry if I already mentioned this but Lush sells an excellent body exfoliater called Ocean scrub. It's the best ever. Also the Alpha- H liquid gold I've been using as a toner.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/05/2018 00:28

So, now the day has dawned of The Wedding, how are we all doing?

I bought myself some Aldi Hot Cloth Cleanser ( I've tried LE Cleanse&Polish and the Superdrug one) thought I'd give it a whirl.

And some serum from Superdrug.

Did a leg lift / thigh tone excercise at the gym, my legs will protest majorly tomorrow.

My next Countdown is my Birthday (June) then our holiday (in August).

I'm coveting LVL for my eyelashes, they are woeful but I'm not sure I want all the hassel and expense TBH.

lisam78 · 19/05/2018 09:05

I've been trying to stick to this since the original post, and think I've been pretty successful!
Gym 3 x week
Dug out old slimming world books, lost 7lbs!
Started laser hair removal
Mani/pedi 1 x week
Using ameliorate cream on my KP on arms, and it's working a treat. With fake tan on its hardly noticeable.
Eyebrows threaded 1 x week
Hair cut/colour every 8-10 weeks
10 min mindfulness meditation in the am

Thanks for motivating me to make some positive changes!

HettyB · 19/05/2018 16:18

I’m a bit late to be princessing, given the wedding has just happened, but can I join?

I’ve got into a rut of over-eating (have gained quite a bit of the baby weight that I lost), and not paying enough attention to my appearance.

Areas that need the most attention for me are:

  • weight. Get it DOWN! It’s my birthday in roughly 7 weeks and I’d like to have lost the unwanted stone by then.
  • eat more healthily and cut out crap and snacking.
  • drink less alcohol
  • drink more water. At least 2l per day.
  • buy some nice summer clothes
  • stop living in sleep nursing bras and old baggy knickers.
  • wear more make up
  • develop a proper skincare routine and stick to it
  • more time and effort on teeth. Floss more regularly and whiten if necessary.
70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/05/2018 23:12

So, the Princessing continues .....

I might weigh myself tomorrow (I haven't lost any weight I'm sure)

Counting down now till holiday Grin

diamondsandrose · 27/05/2018 23:32

7 weeks until holiday

Still princessing away here

Have lost 1 stone 5lb at last count

Can I lose another in 7 weeks..

mamamia999 · 28/05/2018 12:34

Thought I’d post too just to keep myself accountable 😀. I’ve been-

  • sticking to healthy eating, lots of fruit & veg, limited processed foods/treats (lost a cpl lbs)
  • doing tone up exercise plan & trying to walk more.
  • using up all my old products doing a proper skincare routine every night
  • had my hair done
  • tried dermablading at home
  • getting eyebrows tattooed
  • body brushing
  • trying to keep feet nicer doing home pedicures
  • using eyelash serum

Need to sort out teeth whitening - what does everyone on here use?
Xx

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/06/2018 00:34

I have 10 weeks till we go on holiday.
I weighed myself, I have lost the sum total of nothing Hmm

I go to the gym 3 times a week and do my treadmill, the screen keeps telling me I'm beating my own records. My scales keep telling me I'm having a laugh.

I very rarely eat bread ( about once every 3 weeks, I suffer IBS, bread is a killer for my guts) , so I bought a cut loaf from Waitrose expecting toast and jam Heaven, it was frankly quite shit . The toast tasted like those horrible cripbake monstrosities from the 1970s .

I will get seriously in gear after my birthday. ( I'm not going to forgoe cake am I Grin )

I bought some Mud Wrap, used it after my korean towel scrub , covered myself in Mud and clingfilm for a while.

Dyed my hair tonight.

And discovered the delights of 'tightlining', never tried it before but what a difference !

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/06/2018 22:12

In my quest to grow my hair (i usually get to week 5/6 and think Aaaaargh its doin' my head in then get it cut) I tried DD Babyliss Big Hair (the smaller brush) and I'm very impressed !
I don't even own a hairdryer but I noticed when they even rough dry my hair after its wet cut , its softer . The BBH took a bit of fathoming out to find if I needed one way/other way turning.
I've got some hair freshening spray so hopefully I won't need to get my hair under the water every day .

I'll give it a couple of weeks then go for the lightest trim possible Grin

After my Birthday there's a WagonWithMyNameOnIt.
I don't smoke or drink but I really need to cut out all the crap.
But not coffee .Brew

diamondsandrose · 03/06/2018 23:43

Ordered my M&S beauty box today , £15 with £40 spend, lots of lovely Princessing items!

I'm doing well with everything apart from eating. Must do paul McKenna audio thing daily , it really helped last year pre holiday!

lifebeginz · 18/07/2018 11:16

After following the princessing threads I have been trying to stick to it myself but have also pushed it a bit further into my general life....so I do all the beauty things eg drinking water, exercise etc but I also make sure I do at ;east one but try for two of the household jobs that keep getting put off - organising the cupboards, tidying the understairs storage etc and spend at least half an hour in the evening doing something for myself that is positive - reading a book, catching up on politics/current affairs, looking into something I can do for charity etc.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/07/2018 19:42

Ohh Princessing Thread, this slipped wayyyy down.

So:
Preparing for holiday (less than a month)
Resisted having my hair cut , its sort of collar length now, I've bought some headband thingies to push it back.

DD had LVL, result is awesome but she did have amazing eyelashes to begin with (I don;t)

I wore my jersey soft holiday trousers , quite like them , started with Navy and progressed to the jazzier ones with a plain top.

I'll start using the tan accelerator every day in a couple of weeks .
Ohh progress Grin

JMAngel1 · 18/07/2018 21:10

I love the sound of all of that lifebeginz - I'm going to copy you!

lifebeginz · 19/07/2018 09:32

Go for it! It's working for me so far!

SassitudeandSparkle · 19/07/2018 09:36

I was on the thread, but have name changed - some progress made but not on diet, ate terribly yesterday and felt a bit stuffed in the evening. Perhaps I've been doing more healthy eating than I thought!

Need to up the skincare as that's slipped a bit, body care not too bad and the hair has been cut recently and looking so much better for it! Have been wearing makeup more consistently too.

Gearing up for the summer holidays and not letting things slip.
