100 days to go. Do you have your list ready?? Have you decided on your top 3 priorities? (remember you can have less or more and you can swap them around after a certain amount of time if you want)

Ok then...

GO GO GO!

Bodyscrubbed today

Did some gardening (that's excerise of a sort , yes?)

Lost 2lb from last weigh (I don't weigh weekly so it's a slow burn)

Drinking loads of water still.

Wore my last years M&S jeggings today and they're baggy Grin

Allgunsblazing · 26/09/2015 22:09

Went for a run today, I'll run again tomorrow.
Had a long shower, scrubbed and moisturised.
Done my manicure. About to wash my face, read a bit and then put some retinol a.
Does anybody know of a good slimming world recipe book online? I am struggling to lose weight with just eating less and MFP, so diet it is!
I have booked the hairdresser.

chickentothefox · 27/09/2015 09:22

I'm in.
Top 3:

  1. keep acid toning, double cleansing and general skin care going
  2. make appointments for hair, nails and eyebrows
  3. stop eating junk
AWONI · 27/09/2015 10:58

Hello!! My phone hasn't been letting me log in, and this was about my sixth attempt on the laptop. Bloody technology.

I've been moderately successful with my list, doing most things most days, but I really really need a hair cut.

Lovely to see so many people on the thread.

Can I ask about retinol? I loosely follow Caroline H's recommendations, so hot cloth cleanser, acid tone, moisturise. i can't double cleanse as my face gets sore and red but I don't wear loads of make up and my skin is happy with this routine. I have a glycolic peel from bravura which I use occasionally but I haven't seen any massive difference with it. I moved up to it after finishing my bottle of Liquid Gold, and not seeing any difference with that either. Perhaps my skin is as good as it'll ever get, or maybe I have the skin of a rhino.... Hmm I have a few fine lines and wondered if retinol would be a good thing to add to the mix?

Allgunsblazing · 27/09/2015 16:46

awoni, they lost me on the 'face'threads, so what I did was buy a medik8 retinol a bottle. i think the concentration is quite high on this one, so instead of the 4 drops recommended I used 1-2. You're meant to follow it with moisturiser, so I opted for sweet almond oil. Don't go in the sun unless you've put high factor sunscreen on.
If I peel badly or get a massive reaction I will never live that down. So I take it very easy.
Hope someone better at it will explain you.

JustTheOneThanks · 27/09/2015 18:37

Oh crikey! I missed this thread and its more 80-something days till Xmas now! Best get my arse into gear Grin

  1. Keep up to date with all hair grooming
  2. Moisturise and bio-oil every day
  3. Keep my nails nice and polished.
Helgathehairy · 27/09/2015 21:19

I don't know why I find it harder to update thread/post at thr weekends. In theory I have slightly more time but in practice I always seem to be doing something.

Had a decent weekend. Kept up with my top 3 despite wine.

Just watching Ireland v Romania rugby match now (had to go meet family earlier so have it recorded - I'm Irish)

Skincare regime going well here and my skin is certainly feeling better. I've lost 10.5 lb now. I booked my Christmas week hair and eyebrow appointments last week so I have them at times that work for me rather than shoe Horning the only appointments left into my packed diary.

I'm still working on drinking more water and last night was a monumental "go to bed early " fail.

Helgathehairy · 28/09/2015 12:26

87 days to go

So I've just discovered you can cook potato waffles in the toaster! My life will never be the same!

I'm in!

Mine is a continuation of previous work over several of these threads (both posting and lurking). Most of these things have become a habit now, but it is always good to remind myself and keep on track.

  1. Exercise regularly. I'm taking part in the Aspire Channel Swim, which means swimming 22 miles over 12 weeks. I'm currently swimming 3 times a week, doing between 1-2km each swim. I also walk 2-3 miles every weekday.
  1. Eat sensibly. No fad diets, but no using the swimming as an excuse to eat multipacks of crisps. Eat 7 portions of fruit and veg every day, drink plenty of water.
  1. Hot cloth cleanse and moisturise twice a day.
  1. Haircut and eyebrow wax every 6 weeks (I have a pixie cut so have to keep on top of haircuts)
  1. Set outfits out the night before. Roughly plan the week's outfits on Sunday night.
  1. Polish shoes, iron clothes, file nails. Wear matching undies. Helps to look tidy and put together.
  1. Read. I signed up to a 52 books in 2015 challenge in January and am currently on book number 42.
ZippyLongstocking · 29/09/2015 20:43

Well things are getting a bit better

Still moisturizing daily

Eaten better

Am getting out & about not yet made 10, 000 steps doing 5-7,000, struggling to do more as get tired & then little one wants food

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/09/2015 17:11

I had planned to get my haircut today but Life Got In The Way Grin

When do we add the next three to the list?

Though I'm not sure what mine will be. I'm still following my Low FODMAP, so boringly healthy eating . No chocolate unless it;s very dark plain.
Lots of water (hot flushes )
Have vitamins and Vegetarian Omega daily

I'm trying to wear more new clothes but TBH, it's not cold enough for A/W layers yet (aforementioned hot flushes)

I have my new unworn Next jeans, new boots and nice new jumpers waiting Grin

Helgathehairy · 30/09/2015 19:44

85 days to go

The first run of 21 days is up on Monday so if you want you can add new habits then. I have washing my face & taking my vitamin under control so I'm going to swap out those two. But sometimes I only floss so I can tick it off as done, so I'm leaving that in. It doesn't feel like a habit yet!

Doilooklikeatourist · 30/09/2015 20:02

Well my nails are looking good ,
I'm slathered in moisturiser
And I had fresh juice of melon, strawberries and grapes for breakfast
Salad of beetroot , avocado lettuce and feta at lunch
eggs and bacon on toast for dinner
So doing well on upping the fruit and veg

Went to Tiger , some dead sea mineral shampoo for £3 , then home bargains and some heel softening cream , hand cream and argan oil

Feeling better already :)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/10/2015 20:37

Dyed my hair today (I usually wait till after it's cut but I'll need to postpone the cutting till midweek).

Bought some Bodyshop nice shower gel .

Need to think of my next three to add...........

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/10/2015 20:43

I've just revisited my Original 10.

I STILL haven't bought new bras Blush

Everything else I'm doing (except the faketan. That only lasted while I was on holiday)
I can drag it down off the top of my wardrobe and apply tonight . Need to use my epilator first .

kansasmum · 03/10/2015 21:04

Can I join in? I am definitely in need of more regular grooming! ( oh God now I sound like a dog!!)

Anyway had my hair cut and coloured this week, so that's a start.

Need to do eyebrows and lip. Bought wax strips today and my dd is brill at doing my eyebrows!
Nails need doing but going on holiday in a fortnight so will have Mani-pedi just before we go.

I had a massive declutter of my closet recently and it is very organised now into trousers, dresses, skirts tops etc so I am starting to put together outfit for next day when I go to bed. Still need to work on this!

But my skincare regime is crap. I ( mostly) cleanse and moisturise twice a day but keep hearing about serums and moisturisers and oils and bb creams and frankly am confused! Do I need serum AND moisturiser?? Which is best to use?

Anyway shall continue with this thread and hope to be more groomed and glamorous by Christmas!

Karcheer · 03/10/2015 23:32

Hello, need to give this an extra push!
I've had a cold for the last 6 days, still sick, I love dreadful, skin has turned to that of a teenager with wrinkles, hairs gone greasy (even though I washed it today) all unwanted hair forest like as I had to cancel my appt this week.
I have however (before cold) been really good at going to the gym for all of sept. My plan was to be really good with my diet/vits this month (oct) but so far have just eaten what I fancy (white bread, pasta (micro meals), chocolate etc)... I'm planning to make a huge effort this week.
Still using my capsule wardrobe, which is good, but I've a 30th birthday party on Saturday and unsure what to wear for that...
Also need to floss and mouthwash, why is this so hard to remember to do?!?!?

Allgunsblazing · 04/10/2015 08:37

So far I have managed 2runs and a pilates class this week. I have also managed a whole bag of Lidl mini stollen. I didn't eat it because I was bored or hungry. I ate it all because I like them.
But I did buy several mindfulness books-I reckon I've got too much time on my hands and could do with filling it .
Been taking my vitamins in the morning.vit D makes such a difference to my mood!!!

I bought a couple of new dresses, my old ones are tight, so I am not going to wait till the weight falls off me. I was savvy though, I bought potato sack like cuts, it'll be fine :)))))
I have also bought new mascara, I bought a forrin one on holiday and it's atrocious, so I reverted to what I know.
Been doing the retinol A twice a week now. Apparently the autumn is due to properly start, so no sun, I'll do the retinol 3 times a week. It dries my skin!!! So I have been using sweet almond oil and I bought a very heavy/rich face cream from Nuxe that helps a bit.

I could try harder with the facial exercises, I've forgotten to do them.
I am trying to do the slimming world when I am not stuffing my face.

kansasmum I have a Nuxe serum I use in the mornings. Then apply moisturiser. I normally use just Olay. I've been using retinol A (basically synthetic vit A in liquid form. So applying it on the face makes your skin peel/shed etc and gets rid of fine lines etc. I need all the help I can get :) ) and that required a richer moisturiser.

Ok, hairdresser on Monday, pedicure today :)

chickentothefox · 04/10/2015 17:23

I have mini targets to Princess for:
job interview (this week)
weekend away (1 month)
DH work do (2 months)
Xmas!

So, for target 1, it's no booze, sensible eating, good skin care and clothes ready the night before. Surely I can manage this for a few days!!! Have had eyebrows and mani done, and just need to hope I get time to straighten hair before interview on the big day! Have bought frizz ease serum to try and help tame it!

kansasmum · 04/10/2015 18:40

Eyebrows and lip waxed and looking tidy! Nails filed into shape awaiting pre-holiday manicure!

Karcheer · 04/10/2015 19:31

chicken to the fox I've a 30th birthday party of a friend coming up who is super glam (as are the whole group of friends), so I'm going to be very good this week (currently eating Doritos urgh...)

JemimaMuddledUp · 04/10/2015 19:55

Had my hair cut this week. Couldn't get an eyebrow appointment at a time that I could do, so have just tidied them up myself.

Tonight I am going to:
Exfoliate body
Bath
De-fuzz
Face scrub and mask
Moisturise everything
File and paint nails
Dye hair to hide greys

I bought one of those blanket wraps today and plan on wearing it tomorrow with skinny jeans, a long sleeved jersey top and tan brogues. I started a new role last week with a new team and they are quite young and trendy, so I need to up my game!

Not swimming tomorrow morning so I get a lie in Grin

chickentothefox · 04/10/2015 19:55

karcheer I'm on the crisps too Grin
