Joining in!

  3. Serums/ moisturiser every day
  4. Pampering bath once a week
  5. Gel nails once a fortnight
  6. Keep eyebrows/moustache in check Blush
  7. Drink only water and tea
  8. Facial exercises every morning
  9. Take vitamins and cod liver oil
10. Read a book per week (to be achieved by going to bed by 10pm without phone)

Shall keep it at that for now.

HairsprayQueen · 16/09/2015 06:38

I like the reading book ones, I should aim for that too.

Yesterday was a moderate success but I didn't exercise- really silly excuse but I was waiting for a delivery and didn't want to go to the door all red and sweaty and if I don't do it straight after school run I just don't seem to do it. Today I will.

Had 500ml already today so off to a good start I hope! Have a good day everyone Smile

hattyhatter · 16/09/2015 06:56

What a great, positive thread(s) Smile

But I can't say I'm 'princessing'. I just can't. Does this have another, alternate name? (Something less pink and frilly) Grin

Oh yes I like the sound of grooming Smile

When I remember not often enough I just sip hot water before breakfast. Is that pointless?

HairsprayQueen · 16/09/2015 07:41

I always think of grooming as a bit animally, I can't think of a better word though!

99 days to go

For all of you aspiring to read more "good reads" is a really good site/app for tracking how many books you've read. Also if you tell it some of your favourite books it will make suggestions for books you might like and will let you know if a favourite author releases anything new. In January Iade a resolution to read 12 books - I've read 22 so far. A lot less than I used to but I didn't have a toddler then!

Re: lemon water or acv. It's supposed to be lots better for your teeth to drink it through a straw.

OverAndAbove · 16/09/2015 11:32

Ok, progress so far. Of my top three priorities (food, outfits, wine) I'm doing ok so far. I'll be out for dinner tonight with my DH so will have wine but have done two dry nights do far this week. I'm working at home today so will sort laundry at lunchtime to make sure I have the right things for the rest of the week.

The rest of my list (so far - other things may follow!)

Eat for health - a bit general, but I know what I mean!
Plan my outfits in advance so as to look more "together"
Minimum of three wine-free nights each week
Good skin care including serum and exfoliation
Vitamins and other supplements (starflower and echinacea)
Plan in advance gel nails and other salon appointments
Decent matching underwear and accessories
Wear a little bit of makeup each day
Sort out a proper exercise plan
Really concentrate on getting enough sleep

Some of this - skin care, vitamins, salon - I do anyway so it's just a reminder. Exercise and sleep though definitely need some work!

AWONI · 16/09/2015 12:22

Yesterday was a disaster princess/grooming wise but back on it today.

My list of things to do every day:

Facial exercises
Aqua flex
Body brush
Body lotion all over rather than just legs
2-3L water
Eat mindfully
Vitamins and fish oils
30 minutes exercise

Pamper night one evening a week
(to do nails, epilate legs etc in an organised fashion rather than just noticing every now and then that I've turned into a yeti.)

Go to bed at half 10 every night no matter what, and I'm stealing the idea of reading. Half an hour of a book is so much better than half an hour of my life lost on Facebook...

I've done quite well on these so far today and it's just lunchtime Smile

What face exercise stuff are people doing? I've got Eva Fraser which is quite good but I've added a Carole maggio one for my forehead and I'm wondering if i ought to invest in her book too.

MyFriendsCallMeOh · 16/09/2015 17:23

I'm in!

Aqua Cross Fit 3 times a week
Cut out sugar and wheat
Bedtime skincare
Keep up with manicures and pedicures
Have eyebrows threaded once a month
Take multivit, fish oil and probiotic daily
Body brushing and body cream twice a week
Bed by 10 on weeknights

Vi0letsAreBlue · 16/09/2015 19:09

I'm in, this is just what I needed to do...

My list:

  1. Drink more water: 3L/day
  2. Exercise x 3 per week, just joined the gym today Grin
  3. Adopt a healthier approach to eating
  4. Lose 1 stone (ish) by Christmas
  5. Maintain new facial skin regime
  6. Dry body brush before shower
  7. Body oil after shower
  8. Keep on top of paperwork, 1x week
  9. Be organised
10. See the positive more

So the top three would be:

  1. Lose 1 stone
  2. Drink more water
  3. Exercise regularly

Top three might change but I think it's possible by Christmas!

Looking forward to hearing everyone's progress

Allgunsblazing · 16/09/2015 21:20

So.forgot the vitamins this morning, but I took them just now.
Did the MFP.
One of my friends is going to lend me her slimming world books and I'll start doing that. We already text each other's weight every week.
I am going to have a couple of very very busy weeks, not sure I can squeeze 3 runs in each week! Two is more doable I think!
Little steps!

Oh, btw, I am the least princess like person you're ever likely to meet. It's just an expression, don't read too much into it. :)

Wings13 · 16/09/2015 21:54

Adding message just to join and stay on. Have job interview tomorrow so will get back to this after!

hookedonamoonagedaydreem · 16/09/2015 22:21
  1. Lose 19lb
  2. Take vitamins
  3. Cut out the last few bits of processed food in my diet and eat more veg
  4. Pilates/physio exercises daily, finish getting tummy muscles back together

Shopping list. I must buy the following:

  1. New post weight loss bras
  2. Cut and colour
  3. New pair of going out heels
  4. paige jeans
  5. perfume

I must not buy anymore:

  1. Flat boots/shoes that are suitable for running after small children
  2. tops that 'will do' because I can't find anything else
mowglik · 16/09/2015 23:22

I've had my first lumea session today so off to good start with that.

Fell off low carb diet today and yesterday, bit annoyed with myself about that as was doing so well and am back to pre holiday body but should've kept it up. Back on it tomorrow

Also will add a fourth: do at least 15 min of yoga or Pilates off my exercise app everyday starting tomorrow

InQuiteAPickle · 17/09/2015 06:23

Hi! I need to start again. I intended to start a bit with the last thread and I was doing really well but I've had a birthday where I received a lot of chocolates so I've been going through them like there's no tomorrow! Blush

They're all gone now though so I can start a fresh!

My main 3 are:

  1. Weight loss. I'd like to lose a stone before Christmas.
  2. Exercise. I intend to walk at least half an hour a day. I was doing this but then I was home with a sick child for a few days last week and have got out of the habit.
  3. Sort out wardrobe. I got lots of vouchers for aforementioned birthday so this should help! Smile
HairsprayQueen · 17/09/2015 07:26

Yesterday was a bit meh but nothing too terrible to throw me off course. No exercise again and average food and water but skincare was good!
Fast day again today. Need to start having more yay days than meh days.

tinybellows · 17/09/2015 09:26

I managed to do all of mine yesterday bar the clean eating - was doing well until I had pizza and battenberg for tea. Went to yoga after school run, tomorrow will Shred.

It didn't feel like too much of a chore yesterday to do everything so I'm pleased. I've got salmon out of the freezer to make sure today's dinner is better.

Aoifebell · 17/09/2015 10:03

Ahh found you! Just checking in I'll post my proper lists later tonight.

MidnightDinosaur · 17/09/2015 10:33

I so absolutely need this thread.

Ok, top 3 priorities

  1. Drink more water, my skin in terrible
  2. Less carbs, more veg
  3. Keep eyebrows groomed. I'm so bad at this and they always look awful but there's such a difference in my face when I do get round to doing them

Others are
4) More exercise. Have Fitbit and have just upped my goal from 10k steps to 15k steps per day but want to start couch to 5k
4) Get measured properly and buy a couple of new bras
5) Sort out wardrobe, fed up of frumpy, too small, crappy clothes
6) Decent skincare routine
7) Haircut and keeping on top of styling it rather than just throwing it back straight out of the shower everyday
8) Wear a bit of perfume each day
9) Look into buying some decent make up that won't irritate my already crappy skin (mineral make up?)
10) Buy Hula hoop

Will start tomorrow as its 9.30pm here. Christmas is summer here too and I always have more motivation to look after myself in summer.

MidnightDinosaur · 17/09/2015 10:34

That's 11. I'll add buying hula hoop onto more exercise to bring it back to 10,
