Shop Smile

I think the Marants will look better for longer.

shopafrolic · 10/09/2015 20:36

Beautiful but remember tuna-gate?

MarshaBrady · 10/09/2015 20:42

I know, I know. Crazy, I should only keep one pair they are too similar for both.

Kitty not sure, about cheaper. Hmm ShopBop? I don't know about taxes though.

MarshaBrady · 10/09/2015 20:42

They'll look awful in a week won't they, any splash, or even rain.

Stokey · 10/09/2015 20:58

The suede will get trashed Marsha, but I have a black Office pair that have lasted a couple of seasons without going too bald (and didn't particularly try and look after them). I like the colour of the Marant better though.

When I got my Paige Hoxtons kitty, I tried them in Selfridges, then searched the web, and ended up getting them from a US site for £70 less including postage. I can't remember which one I'm afraid.

Did you see Grand Designs last night Shop? £120k kitchen but I loved his black sparkly dining room table.

I saw these Miu Miu biker boots which I love although are way out of my price range. If anyone sees similar on the High St, let me know.

VivaVegas · 10/09/2015 21:26

Now you've got me looking at lovely patent shoes I can't afford!

beautiful!

Drywhitethanks · 10/09/2015 22:22

Evening all.
Marsha both are really lovely, can't help really as they're quite different, although the IM will look good for longer boring, practical person
Bernice same job, different venue and longer hours but more benefits. Loving it.
Sweetmelody its a Boden skirt from a couple of AW ago.....will see if I can find a pic. Love it. I'm a huge fan of camel.
Shop I'm thinking of you and your clean house

Cranagh · 10/09/2015 23:28

Hi! Fairly lost as to who is who but recognise some names.
Marsha, no to the Choo because they will be destroyed in no time!
Liberty, DD1 tells everyone she is English (whereas on London she always said Irish) but sang an Irish song tonight. She tells me "Irish is so hard - it is like a different language"!
Shop we have gone for a shaker style kitchen as my interior designer friend claims they won't date like the white gloss. Everything dates eventually! Highly recommend Neptune for furniture. All our money is going on the new house atm, have only bought ripped Gap jeans. I'm a big Neptune furniture fan, DH sighs, says he knew it would never be Ikea. Clothes will have to wait.

libertydoddle · 11/09/2015 04:52

I feel for your DD Cranagh. Irish is hard! Have they both settled ok into school?

My DD bounces between saying she is English, Irish and Kiwi. We asked her who she will be cheering for in the Rugby world cup and she replied "the winner'!!

Morning!

Thanks bernice I will check those out next time I'm in H&M.

I'm also going to start wearing my old black Tod's trainers again to see if this trainer thing really suits me. They are still in pretty good nick so they'll be perfect to wear once I can't go sockless anymore.

marsha I actually prefer the Choos but I agree with everyone else, they will get dirty very easily so the Marants are a safer bet. And more you as well imo.

Wearing one of my Tippi jumpers today with some MiH skinnies I got in the sales and my trusty Paul & Joe Sister coatigan for extra warmth in the morning.

I also wore my MiH skinny Marrakesh this week with one of my Rails shirts and I really like wearing them even though I have to wear heels.

dry and marsha it sounds like you're both enjoying your new jobs!

stokey I've always wanted to write a book but I've never found the time got my arse into gear as I lack discipline

libertydoddle · 11/09/2015 08:03

Marsha I say keep the Marant boots too.

cressetmama · 11/09/2015 08:59

IM v Choos: a nice (difficult) choice to make Marsha. I don't feel qualified to comment (but am enjoying the vicarious frisson)!

maradesbois · 11/09/2015 09:39

Morning,

to Cranagh. Glad you've settled in well. Didn't know school taught in Irish, that's nice. Remember doing Brian Friel's Translations at school, about Anglicisation removing cultural identity.

Linus love GBBO too, have to watch on catch up with ds as he's a big fan also. He's doing cookery at school and made some fab chocolate madeleines.

Marsha I'm not keen on the Choos (not for practicality, know you're not scared of a pale suede shoe-Rossis!) but love the Marant.

Happy lovely Lanvin bag collection.

Stokey office seems really good atm, not sure if you looked there for bikers. Dsis got some lovely black patent pointy flats with thin straps and buckles.

Off to get my eyebrows done at bobbi brown then get stuck back into my pre-course reading. The Lanvin tote keeps popping up on my ad bar. Tempting but resisting. Next bag buy will be a small handbag.

MarshaBrady · 11/09/2015 09:42

Mara how is it so far? Bet it's lovely

Cresset all opinions very welcome!

Thanks for vote Flowers have put Choos back in box will wait a bit then order return.

AmberNectarine · 11/09/2015 10:01

My wedding anniversary today - 5 years. Out tonight to celebrate :)

DH gave me a pair of lovely silver earrings this morning - heart shaped but with a pointed tail so slightly edgy. I love them - he shouldn't have as the Chanel was enough!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/09/2015 10:59

Happy anniversary to you both Amber, hope you have a lovely evening!

Linus snap, have got a Tippi on for the first time this autumn.

Marsha am late but I think you've made the right choice. Anything but black suede is not going to last as a regular winter boot.

Hi Cranagh, hope all's well. Kitchen and new house shopping sounds lovely.

I'm annoyed with M&S. In August InStyle magazine (so bought in mid July!) there was a pair of wool trousers I really liked that were apparently from Autograph. I've checked the site nearly every day since then, but have the trousers appeared? Of course not. It's now mid September, why do magazines do this? Confused

QueenofCardigans · 11/09/2015 11:16

So annoying blair.
What did you decide marsha?
Good to see you again cranagh
mara my next purchase will be a small bag too. Pondering about saving for a chanel WOC....
amber have fun Wink

I've lost another 1lb and thankfully my clothes are feeling better. Still another 3 or 4 to go to. Did circuits again this morning and was going to fast again today but not sure I can bear it....

AmberNectarine · 11/09/2015 11:58

Oh I shouldn't think we'll be having any of that kind of fun QueenC - I'll be way too drunk :)

AmberNectarine · 11/09/2015 11:59

As regards the WOC it is just my perfect bag - have used it everyday and it fits everything I need. Awesome bag.

QueenofCardigans · 11/09/2015 12:41

Grin, amber. I've always wanted a chanel but now it could be a reality (depending on tax return) im just not sure that I can spend that much cash on one thing....

Happy Anniversary amber!

queenc I second that, my WOC is a great bag. Not sure I could wear it anywhere and everywhere but it is very versatile.

blair wearing my Tippis again has reminded me of how much I love them. I had a look if J Crew has any new colours I might like but no luck so far.

bernice my local H&M did not have the velvet slip-ons you linked but they had a few other nice pairs. Not completely my thing so I didn't buy any.

LinusLovesBretons · 11/09/2015 13:22

these navy leopard ones were very sweet IRL.

KittyHello · 11/09/2015 14:04

Happy anniversary Amber have a great time tonight, are you wearing The Dress? Wink

QueenC I'd say go for it with the WOC I don't you could ever regret it and the cpw would be great,

I wore a Tippi last week, was nice to be reunited again.

Good to see you back Cranagh am enjoying hearing about your house decoration, shame about the no clothes buying though as I like a lot that you link.

Marsha glad you've chosen. Was it a heart or head decision?

Loving the sunshine at the moment, wearing flares and heeled sandals.

MarshaBrady · 11/09/2015 14:25

I've got to work out returns for MyTheresa, then will send Choos back.

I really like them, but I don't actually like them as much from the front, the shape fills a bit off - too straight or something. Then there's the suede part.

Have ordered a couple of things from the outnet - really need actual clothes. Will link in a mo
