Happy anniversary amber hope you have a lovely night

I agree with others queencand think you should get the woc.i wish i could afford one but thats a long way off as yet!!

I think ive burned myself out browsing the shops online looking for things i moght buy for a/w, i really just cant see much at all thats doing it for me.ive seen a couple of tartan dresses and thats about it really.really annoying as in a week or so i will have enough to treat myself a little but i just cant see anything i want!!!

MarshaBrady · 11/09/2015 14:54

QueenC a WoC would be amazing.

AmberNectarine · 11/09/2015 14:55

I can't think of a situation where I wouldn't be happy with my WOC. I did away with a proper big purse ages ago - I just have a little card wallet from Aspinal - and then I put cash in the zip up compartment of the WOC. I'm not someone who like big bags though (I need them for work, but I don't like it). I'd much rather have a small bag with phone keys, cards and lipstick and that is exactly the function the WOC fulfils. Before I got it I was using my small Balenciaga and Gucci disco most frequently so it's not like I ever really used a big bag anyway. If you don't travel light a WOC probably isn't for you though.

AmberNectarine · 11/09/2015 14:56

That said I think my next buy will be a medium flap because it would be nice to have a bigger one as well Wink

shopafrolic · 11/09/2015 15:56

Perhaps you should give the Disco to me now Amber seeing as how it is redundant Wink
Still cleaning Hmm Going into hospital is worse than when the MIL comes - and the cleaning is even more comprehensive.....Grin

libertydoddle · 11/09/2015 17:27

If you run out of tasks over the weekend shop my kitchen could do with a blitz... Grin

I NEVER clean like this - I've turned into a weird clean freak. I think it's because I'm worried MIL may turn up to 'help'
White Company parcel has arrived so will try on the joggers later and sniff my candle.
Just noticed my black Crisis are getting worn on the inside of the heels. :( I have been wearing them to death......
Wore GAP black skinnies, burgundy more issues than Vogue tee and Crisis today with grey Pashli. Felt quite good considering I had no make up on.
Have had my roots done (don't want the surgeon seeing my grey hair!) - gutted I can't wear my jewellery - only wedding ring :(

KittyHello · 11/09/2015 18:11

When do you go in Shop it seems imminent Flowers

shopafrolic · 11/09/2015 18:26

Monday AM Kitty v early!

QueenofCardigans · 11/09/2015 18:51

Now dd is at school I can travel lighter as I don't need a drink/snack/wipes everywhere with me. Don't get too excited about the WOC just yet. I have had a 'bonus' but Dh is hoping to give me more depending on finances. We're both really clueless with tax and things and so until the accountant has worked out what he owes this year I don't know if I'll get any more. He's bought a new bike though so he'd like me to get a Chanel.

Glad you made a decision marsha.
shop we're all here for you.
Loved today's outfit. Dark wash slim straight gap jeans and esprit navy/grey blouse. I've had a next order today and hoping the grey blouse in there is a keeper. Will report back when ive tried it on.

Am enjoying a glass of Sauvignon blanc so cheers!

LinusLovesBretons · 11/09/2015 19:02

In my pj's sipping some bubbles DH opened earlier. Might even go and put on some red lipstick to make me feel better after a very busy and stressful week.

shop you can always talk to me if you need to. Flowers

amber go on, get a medium flap. We can be bag twins. Wink

queenc I still travel with wetwipes for sticky fingers and mouths but now I don't need to lug around a changing mat and nappies I do travel a lot lighter.

I have to say that since I bought the medium flap no other bag has really tickled my fancy. I see bags I like and bags I love but none of them make me want to buy them.

My next bag might be a red one but as I am so fussy about my reds I have not found any I like yet.

QueenofCardigans · 11/09/2015 19:39

linus nothing else is tickling my fancy either. I want a very small grey/silver bag. There's a coach I like and also a mui mui and a bottega Veneta but although they're less ££ than chanel I know I'd still want a chanel. The coach is affordable right now but it's not the one so I know I'd still be hankering after those interlocked c's!

QueenofCardigans · 11/09/2015 19:41

my new perfect grey blouse Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/09/2015 19:42

Really exciting re the potential Chanel QueenC!

Linus sorry to hear your week's been stressful, hope the fizz is helping. Your post made me want to open some, but I decided it was probably too late to drink a whole bottle as we're about to eat. Wine instead!

Shop Flowers

My next bag depends on what I do about buying a crossbody, which I probably wouldn't use much for a few years. I also have a biggish birthday coming up next year Grin I have thought about a WOC but I am used to lugging around a fair bit, and all my bags are heavy to begin with.

QueenofCardigans · 11/09/2015 19:45

coach

QueenofCardigans · 11/09/2015 19:46

bv

QueenofCardigans · 11/09/2015 19:50

mui mui

LinusLovesBretons · 11/09/2015 20:07

I prefer the BV queenc and the coach is nice but the strap of the Miu Miu is too blingy for me.

How about a C??line trio? I don't know if they do them in grey but maybe worth checking out?

LinusLovesBretons · 11/09/2015 20:08

What's with the random question marks?!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/09/2015 20:14

The Coach one is lovely, reminds me of the Mulberry Lily. I don't like the shape of the BV and the Miu Miu is too blingy for you I think.

HappyGirlNow · 11/09/2015 20:16

Guys - looking for opinions on this as I just don't know! Blush

It's husband's 50th next February... I want to get him a good watch and I had planned a surprise trip to Dubai to buy it but I know he doesn't really fancy Dubai.. though I do Anyway, had a brainwave today and thought, why not take him to the home of luxury watches, Switzerland! So.. I've booked flights to Geneva... And I've booked the Four Seasons Hotel..

But, I am now not sure if Switzerland is a good place to actually buy the watch.. I don't really understand the Swiss Franc and how strong it is and I'm a bit concerned you may get a bit ripped off buying there because of the kudos. I want to give him free rein within reason but he'll probably want another Breitling and exchange rate could make hundreds of pounds of difference.. I could just take him watch shopping before we go..

Would be really grateful if anyone has any opinions. Grin he doesn't know anything about the trip or the watch...

KittyHello · 11/09/2015 20:48

QueenC I love the BV best. Would it be a toss up between another one or Chanel? If so I suppose which one do you covert and would use the most?

Happy lucky dh I don't know much about watches, sadly so no advice here. I just went to Bond St with dh when he chose his watch for his significant birthday.

HappyGirlNow · 11/09/2015 21:08

Thanks kitty did think about a trip to London and Bond St.. Might have been simpler.. I can always buy in Edinburgh before we go if that would be best but would rather buy on the trip unless it absolutely makes no financial sense... Would be a better overall experience.

LinusLovesBretons · 11/09/2015 21:22

happy great hotel (even though I have just walked past it a million times, never been inside) and great destination (depending on the weather)

I have no clue whether watches will be cheaper than in the
UK but I do know that when DH enquired about prices for a piece of jewelry for my upcoming birthday, it was slightly less expensive in Switzerland than it was in Europe (not sure about GBP only EUR)

Anyway, you can always try and negociate a discount if you have a knack for it. That's what DH did when he bought me a watch a few years ago (disclaimer, this was in another European city but it is worth a try)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/09/2015 21:31

Happy we bought my DH's engagement watch (a Panerai) from Iconic Watches who are online and in Blackburn. Good deal and good aftersales service as well (the idiot dropped it on our kitchen floor and was convinced it was damaged - they took it back and sent it off for testing, it was fine).
