Oh and I like both those shoes Mara I think a pair of black brogues would be really useful. Like the sound of your marni dress too I am finding myself drawn to bold prints atm.
Pretty necklace Lib and you and Dry have made me want to try those boots they look like a good buy.
I went to look at a secondary school with dd today Shock where did the time go?

maradesbois · 06/10/2015 22:45

Evening,

Linus his hotel was literally 5 mins walk from the store so no excuses!!

QueenC love first pic from Linus and first two from Blair for you. Those outfits could be from your wardrobe! It's important to feel comfortable and yourself at interview and think you definitely would dressed like this. Don't think you need a suit or even jacket but would definitely wear a shirt or blouse with slim fitting trousers and heels not flats.

Shop meant to say earlier love your stans but don't think I could play the waiting game! Justa, would like black ones too. You need to go down half a size imo. I 'built' some on adidas website in smooth black leather with black laces and sole with off white tongue inscription and rear heel panel in off white ostrich leather. Haven't clicked buy though, dithering about whether I really need plus big credit card bill to pay. You get to put your name on the underside of sole though, they got me on that

Lara great shopping as ever, I really love the shirt and trousers.

MarshaBrady · 07/10/2015 07:11

I'm in Paris next week, but no tie for shopping. I wonder do you save ££ if you buy French labels over there

MarshaBrady · 07/10/2015 07:24

Time

Drywhitethanks · 07/10/2015 07:48

Really don't know M, but if they are cheaper I'll be sending in my order Grin

MarshaBrady · 07/10/2015 08:12

I'm sure work won't mind if I turn it into a vogue shopping trip Grin

libertydoddle · 07/10/2015 08:18

I imagine with the euro rate it must be cheaper to shop there Marsha

Love your Marant scarf.

OOYD, new pine green midi Cos dress, R&B boots, black opaques, green and gold leather bracelet, gold and pearl earrings. Feels good! Red lips too.

Hope everyone has a good day. Smile

Ooh, link to dress please Lib, must have missed that!

libertydoddle · 07/10/2015 10:08

Here it is Amber. It's poly but loose cut so not hot. I'm feeling even better about it now as I have just had a very chic French woman come up to me in a cafe to ask me where I got it. She was admiring the cut and colour and saying how stylish it looks Grin

Larastheme · 07/10/2015 10:15

marsha french brands are cheaper, except chanel, which seems to be no major saving involved, or maybe its just the bags,I don't have the price of the jacket I bought in£ though so can't be positive about it,
But My marant trainers were cheaper, so was the chloe stuff I bought, the sweater alone was £200 cheaper! And one of the boots I was looking at was around £180 cheaper too, so fo if you were going on a shopping spree, you could save major £££
Also acne and APC are a bit cheaper too,

Where will you be? I could give you some pointers Wink

That's really beautiful lib

MarshaBrady · 07/10/2015 11:19

Lara wow great savings. We're staying in Le Marais. Only trouble is we get there in the evening in time for dinner. But perhaps if something is close by.

MarshaBrady · 07/10/2015 11:20

Really lovely outfit Lib

LinusLovesBretons · 07/10/2015 11:22

Your outfit sounds great lib and it's always lovely when someone wants go know where you got something.

I asked a lady in the street this Saturday where she got her coat. It was Tara Jarmon but last season's so not much use.

lara I am going to keep my eye out for those pull on trousers. I don't want to order them online as I'm not sure that style would suit me but I definitely want to try them on.

maradesbois · 07/10/2015 14:02

Afternoon,

Lib that's a great compliment, can really picture you in the dress too.

Marsha am most excited to hear you're off to the Marais, not sure if you know it already but so your sort of area, creative and cool. Know it pretty well so here are a few suggestions off the top of my head (ignoring that it's a work trip!)

  • Marant store which is definitely cheaper. Saved over £100 getting my boots there.
  • merci store and bonton children's store both on boulevard Beaumarchais.
  • also good shopping around place des vosges, i really like shirts from alice à Paris for ds and good price but may be too young for your dc.
  • bars/cafés- grazie also on boulevard B and le loir dans la théière on rue des rosiers.
  • musée Picasso, musée cognacq jay.
BerniceBobsHerHairAgain · 07/10/2015 14:43

Enjoying the Paris chat. Marsha your new job seems to involve lots of travelling, sounds great. Sounds like you should definitely try to visit the Marant shop.

I have copied Shop and ordered some wide leg trousers to try:

These arrived today - really nice pattern and material but too big and REALLY long.

Atterley Bargain

I have high hopes for these

I also tried this on - cute print but a bit too cream for me.

Also spotted these ghillies in a lovely berry colour.

Lib that Cos dress is lovely. I am wearing my 100% poly 70s dress today - I have been a bit hot Grin but it is a close fitting dress.

Justa they have some discounts on black stans on amazon. I am sitting on my hands for now as I have a blue pair but I really want them in black too!

justasecond · 07/10/2015 15:03

thanks bernice will take a look
I ordered the striped Atterley trousers in the summer they were really lovely (and cotton too) but just a tad too short for me if they had been the ankle grazer length as on the model I would have kept them.
Your outfit sounds great Lib
Enjoy your trip Marsha hope you make it to the shops!

Ujjayi · 07/10/2015 15:15

QueenC I think you're totally spot on with the outfits you've Pinned. Definitely your style and I don't think a suit is right for the job you've applied for anyway.

Lib isn't a compliment from another woman just the best?

Bernice love the colour of those ghillies. I want to incorporate some berry hues into my A/W wardrobe and have ordered this as a starting point. I'm also planning on making a Marant-style peasant blouse in the same shade.

Marsha have a wonderful time in Paris. I've noticed a price difference too. WIT recently linked to an Italian store for an IM jumper and it was significantly cheaper than on NAP.

Saturday's solo London shopping trip was scuppered slightly as DS1 decided he wanted to come with me. He rarely wants to do things like this (he's 15 & has ASD so busy shopping places are low on his list of fun things to do.) so I didn't want to say no. He has very definite ideas about his style so he's quite good fun to shop with when he's in the mood. He bought a new berry coloured jacket & a few tees from Topman and gorgeous airforce blue suede Vans. Sadly he is not happy for me to have the same pair! He coped really well for a couple of hours but lost the plot slightly on Regent Street so we sought refuge in Byrons for milkshake & burgers (and wine). I did manage to find the Lemaire jumper I wanted in Uniqlo here and boyfriend jeans but no luck on ankle boots.

LinusLovesBretons · 07/10/2015 15:35

I saw these and thought of queenc.

shopafrolic · 07/10/2015 15:42

Loving the Paris chat
these trousers arrived today and look good and slouchy. Almost a little too slouchy so have reordered in a size down (they are even cheaper now too!). Will try the smaller size and then decide which to keep.
Love your links Bernice - can see you in all of them. You know your style so well.
Lib Yay for compliments. You've embraced your colours and style beautifully. Those of you who were at the last MU will have seen how much i love to throw them at random strangers Grin
I wish I'd worked for the French company (Paris based) when I had a larger salary. I couldn't afford to clothes shop there when we went on business trips in my early 20s. Not that there was much time......

QueenCardi · 07/10/2015 18:26

this is my new purchase. I have my barbour mac but it feels a bit too smart sometimes and I wanted something a bit warmer but not as warm as my full on winter coat.

Lovely outfit lib
linus I can't see what you linked for me
bernice those berry shoes are lush. They remind me a bit of my MD ones. I still haven't worn them since they shredded my feet and I think I've missed the boat now. Feels too chilly for shoes.
ujj love that berry top too. I love berry/burgundy although it's not great next to my face.

LinusLovesBretons · 07/10/2015 18:31

these

Hope the link works now.

LinusLovesBretons · 07/10/2015 18:31

Now your link doesn't work for me queenc!

Stokey · 07/10/2015 19:34

Great Stans Shop. I love my black Stans Justa, highly recommended.

Thanks for the cardie feedback Bernice, I tried to look in real life today but think shops just don't hold that much stock anymore. I didn't see any in All Saints, I can't remember which one Shop has. The best I saw was this Cos one - cosy with 80% but not sure about the fleckiness. It's meant to get properly cold next week, so may just need a real coat. Love those striped trousers and the berry ghillies.

I bought a nice red & blue striped top in H&M, very handy everyday use and 95% cotton.

Larastheme · 07/10/2015 20:26

Yes I agree with mara, le Marais is your kind of area marsha, as well as marant ,there is an ACNE store, iro, APC. If you are staying over night and have some free time, I recommend having a look at Brooklyn rive gauche exhibition at le bon marche, not to be missed, its incredible even the grand epicerie have created all these newyork inspired dishes, yum!

linus, I'm so in love with these trousers, give them a try, I'm not tall and they look good on me,

bernice great shopping, can see you in those trousers,
