bernice these are the marant ones I was searching forever,for flattering pull on trousers, also tried them rolled up,like its shown here, and tried several shoes and boots with them ,looks really good,

My birthday Stan Smiths arrived and are definite keepers - shame I have to put them away until Nov. Love love love them. The tongue squeaks when I walk but am guessing that'll stop as it softens?!
And this Woolovers knit has arrived. Not quite as bright as the Boden one but worth it for the £.
I've also ordered some wide legged trousers to wear with trainers - will link if they are keepers.
I watched last night - just wonderful. Loved it.

Also bought this skirt its not as short on me, above knee but no way as short as it is on model, and this shirt, looks great with the skirt,although dh husband gave me a look, told him to stop as it will ruin the shirt for me and I really love it, also bought another skirt,but having serious doubts about it, think will take it back

Blair I don't know why he just hates moccasins with fringing and would go on about it. I do like them a lot but feeling the brogues more. Love the Burberry camel coat but understand your hesitation about such a big purchase. I will not be getting the cashmere one, far too £££ but do think it's lovely.

Gah, tried to start 5:2 again today but just broken it with rubbish Starbucks sandwich as too late in the day for the nice lunch places. Good fashion news though, dh has been back to Paris and picked up the Marant cluster boots I wanted. Called them beforehand and get them to keep aside but we got there this time after epic fail a few weeks ago!

QueenC yes v difficult to get a date. I am free 30 Nov day or night and happy to organise... December much more difficult.

Great news on the boots! I'd love the Burberry coat but realistically I think there are too many other things I want as well. And I don't know if I would feel comfortable wearing something that cost so much.

lib beautiful necklace! Will look lovely on you. I remain unconvinced by HoC as well. I feel like it's halfway there, but still feel sure I have a bit of dramatic in me (even if it doesn't always suit me) and natural too. I was on the cusp of seasons as well, so maybe I'm just awkward. The more time that passes the less I think about my HoC experiences tbh.

lib I wore my R and B boots today for the first time with berry skinniest and stone sweater. So comfortable. They looked fab and I felt tall a few compliments,a great buy. Love them.
queenC I always do dress or smart trs and cardi for interviews. Not corporate, smart but not scary.

I would wear a suit to an interview or very smart dress and jacket, but then I'm in a different line of work. Pretty blouse with sharp blazer and slim trousers?

Thank you all so much . You are all totally on the same wave length as I was thinkng which is reassuring. I haven't yet decided whether to go to the interview for various reasons but wondering what to wear is stressing me out. Dh has said to buy a suit . I think he thinks I just walk in John lewis like he does, find my waist, leg and chest measurement and walk out sorted.

Blair the burberry coats are lush but I would be too scared to wear too. Have you considered a look in Bicester? I have seen some lovely coats in the Burberry outlet (although I think some def have a look of made for outlet about them)
