dry that's another thing, our cats always dug a little hole to poo in and then they would close the hole with earth. Don't all cats do that?

There is a kind of powder you can buy (smells very strongly of garlic) that repells cats.

In one of the houses we rented before we bought ours we had a small vegetable patch and cats would always knock over the young plants (and break off bits) so DH got fed up and put that powder around the vegetable patch. It seemed to work well.

I knew you would like that teal top. I would be tempted myself as I only have one top that seems to work with my pleather leggings.

Karbea · 01/03/2015 14:20

I think you can get lion poo pellets to stop cats pooing in you garden. I considered getting some when one of our elderly cats took to pooing right outside the back door.

Ujjayi · 01/03/2015 15:02

Happy Sunday everyone. Apologies for my moany rant yesterday.

Had a great night out with friends yesterday. I'll pin my outfit later.

That Madewell top is gorgeous...& quite straightforward to re-work (changing a few details). I'm taking a week off in a couple of weeks to make stuff just for me & I might give that design a go but with my own twist. I'll let you know how that goes Wink

One sorry OneCat is so stressed & agree that Feliway is great stuff. It wouldn't cross my mind though to consult a neighbour before getting a cat or dog. Our young tom did like to wind up our neighbour's cat by sitting on the fence & staring so I would scoop him up when I could. Hope she settles soon.

The garlic powder/capsules are great for stopping cats pooing in the garden. They are non-toxic too I believe.

Drywhiteplease · 01/03/2015 15:21

Can I put an order in Ujj?

Ujjayi · 01/03/2015 16:33

Dry it would be a pleasure. I'll let you know once I've got a sample to show you - it'll be the week leading up to MU Smile. My silk supplier has some stunning colours too.

OneLittleLady · 01/03/2015 16:34

I ought to point out the only reason I spoke to my nieghbour before I got one cat is because we are in flats and share a sort of lobby space before going to each respective door into the flats. If i lived in a house, it wouldn't have been an issue but that shared area is a bit of a battleground with my neighbour. He'd already made it clear to me before i spoke to him that he expected to be consulted about all pets since 'he'd been here the longest and always had his cat/s and it wouldn't be fair to distress her/them' funny how it doesn't work both ways since his new cat is not neutered and has been spraying my front door which is driving onecat up the wall as its all she can smell. she is neutered though, im not irresponisble and couldn't have kittens here. I just feel so sorry for her, he's got this tom cat thats spraying everywhere and scratches at my front door to try to get to in and whnever the two cats 'meet' int he lobby space, he tries to attack onecat. he's younger but much bigger as onecat is a very slender and delicate thing.

Karbea · 01/03/2015 16:49

ujj I'd love one too! I love that style of top in the summer.

one is there a socket in the lobby? I'd be inclined to put a feliway there, it sounds as the male cat isn't too happy either.

Fedupnagging · 01/03/2015 16:51

One hope onecat settles down soon - hopefully she will get used to her new neighbour. Since we got a dog, the neighbourhood cats no longer feel the need to use our garden as a toilet!

Lib love your Uniqlo haul - you always pick up some great pieces from there. Am going to try to pop in next Sat.

Ujjayi rant away! we'll always listen and sympathise and tell you to have Wine. You sound so talented with e needle and thread, I'd love to be able to make/alter my own clothes. DM was a fantastic seamstress (made my wedding dress) but sadly I don't follow in her footsteps.

I picked up this Tory Burch shirt on my travels today. Don't usually like gold buttons but love the style of the shirt - can always change them if need be.

Hope everyone is having a good day Smile

libertychick · 01/03/2015 16:53

One I would have thought you have grounds for complaint regarding a cat spraying a common area.

Ujjayi pm

Studying is costing me a fortune as I keep distracting myself with clothes shopping....

libertychick · 01/03/2015 16:55

Nice shirt fedup. I do love Uniqlo - it, Cos and Other Stories are really my 'go to' shops ATM.

LinusDKD · 01/03/2015 17:00

one if you live in a flat, I agree things are different. And Shock at your neighbour not having his cat neutered!

I am looking forward to seeing your interpretation of that Madewell top ujjayi and I might put in an order myself.

When I finally got dressed I decided to wear a Ossie Clarke skirt (not original, just one of the tribute collection they did more that 6 years ago) and my black and white Cos breton.

Not sure it works, especially the skirt as it is a very high waisted A line skirt that falls below the knee. I haven't been able to fit in it for years and now the design doesn't seem to suit me anymore. Sad

OneLittleLady · 01/03/2015 17:10

I'm sure OneCat will be fine. I'm going to have words with my neighbour and see if I can't convince him to get his tom neutered, I think it's pretty disgusting that he's letting him go round spraying, especially in common areas

I am not at all stylish today, more cartoony than chic in a burgundy, black and neon pink tartan pleated mini, white cut up mens tee with Darth vader print and long black cardigan. I teamed this with black velvet dr martens and a pink bandanna in my hair

Drywhiteplease · 01/03/2015 18:05

Ujj that's 4 orders so far!!!! Grin defo interested.

Well, I didn't slob around in my gym kit today I'm sure you're all relieved and wore a white shirt with red spots I bought about 4 yrs ago cheaply in a very drapey viscose with my jimmies, kind of semi tucked. I've never worn it Shock and am trying to make an effort and justify keeping to wear stuff I don't get out a lot.

shopafrolic · 01/03/2015 18:26

Just back from Norfolk. I might have to order one too Ujjayi so would be v interested in hearing more :)
Not much fashion news. I wore the JL breton for the first time yesterday as I was willing the Spring to come. It is good, nice long sleeves - just hope it washed ok......
Who's setting up the next thread then? I did the last one
