Rock chic sounds fab Karbea as does your outfit.

Lib Grin at 'country girl'. True that you do suit more feminine looks though, you're a lady!

maradesbois · 26/02/2015 17:21

This is how I want my flares to look .

Right, need to get off here, am procrastinating.

Me too mara in my dreams

Dry I've had peppermint tea and quite liked it! Also got some OTC medication so hopefully it will all help. Glad you like the top - I was picturing you in my head and that was exactly what I saw with the leather leggings. Or for evening, a high neck halterneck long silky top, but I couldn't find an example.

Karbea outfit sounds fab! Lol at princess on a motorbike. Both that and rock chick make me think leather and studs though Confused

Karbea · 26/02/2015 17:44

Yes she said biker jackets, stud details... Valentino here I come!

QueenCardigan · 26/02/2015 17:51

dry thank you Flowers. I opened them and stupidly put them on the floor where the cat has already made a bed on them Grin.

QueenCardigan · 26/02/2015 17:53

krabea is it studs as in small detailing? Anything too plain looks dull on me and I need detailing even if it's just pintucks or something.

Karbea · 26/02/2015 18:00

queen yes exactly she said I need the natural bit (edgy, studs etc) to harder up/make more edgy the ingenue. So pretty dress with a biker jacket. Or jeans, Lacey top and spiked boots. Just a small detail to stop the ingenue being too girly.

libertychick · 26/02/2015 18:09

Awwwh thanks Mara - those flares pic are perfect.

AmberNectarine · 26/02/2015 18:09

lib when I did my style day, my friend came out Romantic Classic. She specifically asked about a military style coat because she wants one and our consultant said it would be ok - think highwayman.

Am grumpy - poxy Yodel delivered me someone else's (ugly) flowers rather than my Stan Smiths. Awaiting the swap and am NOT AMUSED.

Karbea · 26/02/2015 18:14

amber they'll be dead ugly flowers when they get to their rightful owner.

libertychick · 26/02/2015 18:24

That's a good way to think of it Amber, thanks. What a PITA about the order mix up. But at least your Stan Smiths won't wilt Smile

BrandyAlexander · 26/02/2015 22:15

Hello Voguettes! Smile

Have loved doing a speed read through the last few days.

On the MU. it's in my diary, except I can only come for a bit.Sad

Ambers blog has moved??!

LinusDKD · 27/02/2015 07:33

Morning!

karbea sounds like you had a very cool style recommended to you. Are you happy with it?

I love the Winona Ryder floral dress with biker jacket look, but could never pull it off myself.

blair I hope you feel better today!
And yes, ask the bridal shop about a bra.

I got mine when I had my last fitting and whilst it was pretty ugly, it really did the job and I my boobs felt secure all day (and until the wedding party finished at 4 am Wink )

I am wearing one of my Rails shirts with my Jimmies today and my biker boots. Quite a boyish look but I like that every now and then.

Karbea · 27/02/2015 08:00

Yes I guess. There are still some things that confuse me about it, but I've a lifetime to work it out.

Today I'm wearing a prada round neck kingfisher colour jumper and victoria beckham blue jeans. I'm a bit confused about wearing a belt as I would normally, but she said as I've long legs and a small middle I shouldn't really unless a very small one, which I think would look odd.
I'm also wearing silver jewellery, Boodles blossom short necklace, engagement, wedding and statement ring (she said ring on both hands was correct), and Cartier watch (watches are right too!). Haven't done my hair or make up yet...

Karbea · 27/02/2015 08:01

Guess I'm more classically dressed today. I'm going to wear my long brown flat boots instead of my uggs today, I don't really like them, but they are better than uggs!

AmberNectarine · 27/02/2015 08:22

Sure has novice, it's here now - and in answer to Blair's question, yes, you will need to follow it on bloglovin - there is a handy follow button!

BrandyAlexander · 27/02/2015 08:46

Thanks Amber, looks great - that Topshop skirt is calling out to me! I used to do skirts and jumper combo years ago but only have about 2 skirts in my wardrobe now. Dry had been tempting me to try skirts again because she looks great in her jaeger one.

Karbea your outfit sounds great, especially the jewelry Wink

Ujjayi · 27/02/2015 10:45

Morning all. Dry thank you for neck pain advice. I followed it and feeling a little better this morning. I think I need to keep moving rather than stay still.

Received my Wardrobe Icons/Topshop freebie this morning - the Ecru Selvedge jeans. I love them. Very flattering - slim fit across the hips & bum but relaxed through the thigh. I'm so pleased I took the risk (I hadn't seen them IRL and the gift was non-returnable). I styled them with IM Debra jacket and TS suede fringed boots for a quick Instagram photoshoot to say thanks to them. I am going to wear these so much through spring & summer - they'll be great with sandals * a tee.

Blair hope you are feeling better. Peppermint tea is great for sore stomachs whatever the cause. I also find warm baths can help ease stomach cramps too.

Amber I love the blog. Looking forward to seeing the remainder of the 7 days 1 skirt images.

Karbea and others who have had a style day - are you pleased with your analysis? Do you agree with it? Is it working for you? I'm fascinated by the psychology of it all and how they arrive at the style analysis.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/02/2015 11:45

Ujjayi - in a word - no. I wouldn't say I wish I hadn't done the style analysis, as I would be forever curious otherwise and it was a present, but I haven't really thought about it since.

Glad your neck is a bit better - yes, keep it moving.

More peppermint tea! Stomach feels better (and I've lost some weight this week, yay) but is still upset.

Karbea interesting, my consultant seemed quite obsessed with balancing out proportions so I'm guessing yours thought that emphasising your long legs would unbalance you? But who wouldn't want to emphasise them? It's fine for me with long back and short legs to belt my waist. But long legs are desirable!

OneLittleLady · 27/02/2015 11:53

Blair colpermin capsules, which is basically just peppermint oil in a slow release capsule coating, are very very good for bloat and upset stomachs. I have them every day for IBS bloat and discomfort and they really really help. I get mine on prescription but i'm sure you must be able to buy them without as they are not an actual medication as such. I find them more effective than just peppermint tea due to the slow release nature of them. could be worth a look

Karbea · 27/02/2015 11:59

novice the jewellery will be the hardest for me as I've so many nice silver coloured bits. Interestingly the lady I did my session with yesterday was a winter and she loves gold. So we were both breaking the jewellery colour rule, we felt like naughty schoolgirls!
ujj sort off not a very good answer I think I always knew that 1950s fit and flare style dresses suit me best, and that I had long legs. I think whereas the colour analysis has totally changed what I'll buy, the style won't. Although I'm naturally not attracted to certain things, I've boobs so anything boyish would never suit. I'm small so anything with a big print or a lot of fabric looks silly. I do often pick things out that are quite classic but I think that's due to years of living in an office.

Karbea · 27/02/2015 12:00

blair I'd always thought short jackets would be best bring short! but medium and even long if I'm wearing heels is better.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/02/2015 12:08

One snap, that's what I have :) I asked a pharmacist for something yesterday and she gave me those. I think they are helping, with the bloat at least.

Amber thanks, will refollow!

OneLittleLady · 27/02/2015 12:25

ah good blair they work best, I have found at least, if you make sure you take them consistently, not just if you have the bloat right now. I take one, three times a day but up it to two, three times a day if the bloat and discomfort are especially bad. I do believe it says on the box that you can do that. They do make you , ahem, burp peppermint sometimes though, which is a bit strange at first, not unpleasant, just strange

QueenCardigan · 27/02/2015 12:50

Ha ha one I was about to say that about the burping. I take colder in sometimes and hate the burps but I dislike mint.
ujj I'm really happy and glad that i did the style analysis. But then my consultant just suggested things rather than it being more of a rule thing. Being told to wear rings on both hands and that watches are ok would make me Hmm and Confused. It's given me much more confidence in my clothing choices and about why certain things don't work. The only trouble I'm finding now 18months on is that I'm in a bit of a style rut. I feel like breaking out a bit but don't know how. I'm hoping that come spring when I can wear some slightly different things I'll be better.

I've been so bored of my boots that I've started wearing my converse again. I'm really enjoying the change. I deginitely need more daytime footwear choices but I struggle with autumn/winter footwear.
