QueenC the minty burps always take me by surprise! I've started wearing my converse again too, just on dry days as boots are starting to feel a bit clumpy now the suns out a bit more. Hoping to get some more converse in america as they are quite a lot cheaper over there, really hoping I can get some of the Harley Quinn ones I've been eyeing up for ages Grin

shopafrolic · 27/02/2015 13:33

Selena Gomez in same scarf and boots SHOCKER Is this really news?

libertychick · 27/02/2015 16:10

Hmmmmm I have worn the same scarf every day for about 2 weeks now. Better not tell the mail!!!

ujjayi I am not convinced by the style analysis. It was useful in some ways. I think the consultant is important on style analysis. I felt that my consultant just worked her way through a rule book! I think the category is right but she didn't make it come to life for me iyswim and I am struggling to get it.

Drywhiteplease · 27/02/2015 17:19

Karbea if I didn't wear a belt my trousers would fall down Shock how can she say that? Hmm
Blair and Ujj just call me DRDry

Oh....."my name is Dry and I'm a shopaholic" ....well and truly fell off the wagon and did binge shopping it's not even funny this afternoon. I knew I shouldn't "just look" and now am having a big guilt and return trip I think. Justified by buying cheap stuff 5 tops for under £100 Shock I really do think I have a problem.

liberty I tried on your H and M midi red skirt in black. Looked great from the front and would look fab with my new pointy flats, but couldn't get over the volume. Guess I'm used to more tailored stuff. That was the one item I didn't buy Sad

Karbea · 27/02/2015 17:35

dry belts you can't actually see don't count I don't think.

shopafrolic · 27/02/2015 18:15

Fedupnagging · 27/02/2015 18:25

I'm pretty sure I bored greeted several people with the words 'hello, I'm fedup' at the last meet up. It seemed funny at the time Hmm

Karbea I love the biker chic look (doesn't suit me though) but you are not sounding too sure? Today's outfit sounds great - and the knee length boots sound much better than uggs.

Blair glad you are feeling a bit better today. Hope you manage to relax a bit this weekend.

Dry Grin at bing shopping. You should link the tops and we can vote on which ones you should keep or return!

We are going out for a meal tonight - posh pub and can't decide what to wear. We will be walking so heels are out but am really bored of wearing the usual skinnies/ top /boots combo. Roll on summer.

Drywhiteplease · 27/02/2015 18:39

Fedup not boring at all!Shock .the moment I saw the yellow trousers at KC I loved you, chatty, warm, decisive.....loved our taxi rides Smile

Oh my god......Shock what happened? Have had a try on....."stop that woman she's about to go bonkers in H and M!!!!!" Shop it's all mostly in the bag and in the car......gone! Must have had a funny turn Confused

Right, will be brave and link......you will flame me, feel free to throw doughnuts Smile

Drywhiteplease · 27/02/2015 18:44

this initially in mustard and then on the way to the till I saw jade green and had to have it too. Made me look pregnant with very short legs Sad ......in my defence I thought bum coverage, nice colour. I used to wear hide under tops like this years ago which made me look bigger, binned them all and went more fitted which suits my frame and proportions.

There's more.....

Drywhiteplease · 27/02/2015 18:47

vest.... Ok, ages ago I saw VB looking nice in cropped skinny jeans, black ballet flats and a long line black vest, very simple....this vest was loose on my waist and tight on my bum........hideous still like the look, the vest was wrong

QueenQueenie · 27/02/2015 18:58

Hi again...
I think there's something about a Friday dry which lends itself to a bit of crazed spending...
Am managing to sit on my hands at the moment but am eyeing these up now that spring seems to be in the air... with boyfriend jeans and a fitted tee?nice or nasty?

Drywhiteplease · 27/02/2015 19:06

Ok I know it's polyester but I really like this shirt don't do a lot of prints. Good for work. Possibly clammy Grin

Karbea · 27/02/2015 19:06

queen I really don't like them, they are not my style at all.
dry I agree with shop take it all back.

Drywhiteplease · 27/02/2015 19:12

And finally be nice, I'm being brave I'm going to link from WALLIS and I know MN consider this the height of frumpdom, this looks awful on the model, but surprisingly good on me Grin it's longer, more synched in at waist, asymetric more pronounced and round neck good for small chest looks good with my leathers honest!

Ok....doughnuts away......

LinusDKD · 27/02/2015 19:15

Evening!

dry I second shop TAKE IT ALL BACK!

And if that doesn't work, think of The Santa giving you a bollocking.

If the stuff you bought was really nice and perfect for you I would say 'keep it' as it's nice to impulse buy sometimes. But this stuff? Not worth it.

queenqueenie they are not my style but I think they can look nice on the right person. I don't know your style so I can't say whether you would look nice in them, but I can actually see one wearing them.

I brought my MiH skinny Marrakesh to a seamstress today and I can't wait to get them back with shortened trouserlegs so I can finally wear them.

I never thougt I would like flares or look good in them but when she had hemmed them and I wore my high heels, I really liked the look but maybe I'm deluded and I look like a Charlie's Angels reject

Karbea · 27/02/2015 19:16

dry step away from h&m!

fedup I'm sort of ok with it! as it is sort of the look I gravitate towards on a night out. My bigger issue is what does this look like as daywear when walking the dogs. Or when I'm 60. I did bring up the topics of the dog walking but it seems I should just add boots, but really unsure which, then it would need to be jeans (blue) as I can't really imagine trousers or anything else with dog walking boots. And then what on top. For a night out, a top and a blazer, works, but over the fields when it's cold, a coat, but what kind of coat is rock chic ingenue.

LinusDKD · 27/02/2015 19:17

That Wallis top is a nice shape but it is poly so a one-way ticket to Sweatsville.

Karbea · 27/02/2015 19:18

I quite like the Wallis top but it's polyester!!!

LinusDKD · 27/02/2015 19:20

sandals for amber?

Same detailing as your Toga Pulla's but in a sandal.

Karbea · 27/02/2015 19:23

Can I bore people with paint again?

My dh has been painting our dining room since jan 4th, we did the ceiling in f&b pointing and the walls in f&b slipper satin. It was peeing me off not being finished so the builder finished the woodwork in dulux once satin white. The white looks so bright to me, I'm hoping it'll calm down tomorrow.

Anyway my bigger question is... The current plan is he'll paint the living room yes that old chestnut ceiling in dulux brilliant white and the wood in dulux satin white. The walls currently I'm thinking natural calico, but I've been looking at the dulux book tonight and it looks really yellow, so now I'm thinking chalky downs 5. Is there a softer alternative to brilliant white, or am I an idiot and does it look nice and clean?

Drywhiteplease · 27/02/2015 19:27

But I did see and love this......did I buy it? NO because I'm an idiot!

Drywhiteplease · 27/02/2015 19:29

karbea I thin I have natural calico in my ensuite and it is a creamy white. Have you seen Timeless? I have it in 2 rooms. Quite white.

MarshaBrady · 27/02/2015 19:31

Karbea we have Wimborne White on the ceiling and I love it, just the right shade. Not too bright. Maybe go for a match to that

Drywhiteplease · 27/02/2015 19:36

Drat and this would be useful too.

Moth shirt going in car.........clammy potential not appealing.

MarshaBrady · 27/02/2015 19:39

Dry I really like the polka dot one
