WideWebWitch · 23/07/2006 11:09

Right, is anyone up for joining me in a 6 week ten week younger plan? The rules:

Use sunscreen at all times
Do some exercise during the week, even if it's only walking
Cut down on or give up alcohol (I'm going to do another 6 weeks without it)
eat healthily, lots of fruit and veg
Try to get to bed by 10.30pm
Take make up off every night
Drink lots of water
Post here about how you're feeling

Starting tomorrow, so week one is week commencing 24 July 06. Who's in?

Yes!I need to be in a group to do this as I am so undisciplined otherwise Bed by 10.30 will be good

suzywong · 23/07/2006 11:17

yes count me in
I was wondering when you were going to get this going again, as I am merely an unwitting stooge in your plan it would be way above my station to start it myself

I'm going good actually, back on the exercise track again, getting really into yoga stretches, down to 69.7kilos (11 stone) and want to get down to 67kilos, 10st 10. Giving myself a month.

Won't be giving up my alternate evening glass of wine so don't even try.

noddyholder · 23/07/2006 11:18

I have my bookgroup tonight so will start no alcohol tomorrow although am not really drinking in this heat

WideWebWitch · 23/07/2006 11:18

Oh yes, I forgot to mention SuzyWong pops in every now and again to say
Good Luck to You.

GoodLuckToYou

BTW I have absolutely no idea whom I am supposed to be emulating but it seems to keep you happy

SminkoPinko · 23/07/2006 11:20

I'm up for it. My bedtimes especially are getting out of hand and my water intake is shocking atm.

WideWebWitch · 23/07/2006 11:36

ha ha suzy! it's Harvey from celebrity fit club, who says that to every sleb once they've had a kicking for not losing enough weight that week on the humiliating scales, here he is, Harvey

I'm in. I have shockingly let myself go since leaving the UK and the gimlet eyes of my friends. NONE of my clothes fit. The glorious australian sunshine makes me think I'm on holiday and so I'm eating and drinking accordingly.

jampots · 23/07/2006 11:57

Im in although I fail only on points 1 and 5. However I guess they are both still very important.

I'll have a go...
I fail on points 1,2 and 5
Probably wont get to bed on time, but will give it a go.

The excersize should help with my diet that im half on! Am 10.6 atm and need to lose another half a stone, but its really toning up that I could do with iyswim. Was thinking of auqatone once a week or something.

tortoiseshell · 23/07/2006 12:38

Oh can I join in. I feel HORRIBLE in this heat, don't know about the 10 years younger bit, but would settle for 5! I've got to definitely drink more water, and less diet coke (has swig from deliciously cold diet coke can...).

motherinferior · 23/07/2006 13:11

I can't. Am going on holiday. Am going to DRINK on holiday, dammit. And possibly stay up late.

Count me in. Last time we did this I lost 15lbs and I've not lost any since (although haven't gained any either). I am definitely not drinkig enough water, the coffee and alcohol intake are back to square one and I am really bad again at taking off makeup every night. I have just done two mornings of 15 mins toning exercises which would be good to keep up.

glitterfairy · 23/07/2006 13:33

OK I am up for this definately! Starting tomorrow though yes?

suzywong · 23/07/2006 13:33

GoodLuckToYou

WideWebWitch · 23/07/2006 14:16

Yes GF, starting tomorrow. Welcome everyone.

swedishmum · 23/07/2006 14:52

Count me in please. Woke up this morning feeling sluggish and old and decided to detox (except for coffee!) so the timing's perfect. Off to a party this afternoon so roll on tomorrow.

Caligula · 23/07/2006 15:02

Yep I'm in.

Except for the sunscreen bit, I just can't be arsed - can I have a hat and long sleeves instead?

Earlybird · 23/07/2006 15:08

Count me in too. Definitely need to refocus. Am in America for the summer, and can feel my waistline expanding already due to availability of different sorts of food and lack of everday walking. Really, really don't want to return to the UK significantly fatter. Why, oh why is it so hard to lose weight, and so easy to put it on??

me23 · 23/07/2006 15:14

Hi im im, need a health kick a the moment my skin is prettybad at the mo prob due to me not drinking enough water and failing to take off makeup before bed. also I have a stone to lose am 9st 4 now! giving myself a month to lose 8lbs.

CarolinaMoose · 23/07/2006 16:27

how old do you have to be to join in?

mistressmiggins · 23/07/2006 16:47

count me in
going to ball end of Sept so need to look slim & glamorous

will sign in tomorrow evening
Davina McCall DVD coming out tonight!!

SminkoPinko · 23/07/2006 19:31

Well, seeing as it really works, you have to be old enough (or look old enough) not to look stupid when you metaphorically shed 10 years, Carolina Moose. So 14-26 year olds might not want to risk it unless they are wizened beyond what would normally be expected.
