Right, is anyone up for joining me in a 6 week ten week younger plan? The rules:

Use sunscreen at all times
Do some exercise during the week, even if it's only walking
Cut down on or give up alcohol (I'm going to do another 6 weeks without it)
eat healthily, lots of fruit and veg
Try to get to bed by 10.30pm
Take make up off every night
Drink lots of water
Post here about how you're feeling

Starting tomorrow, so week one is week commencing 24 July 06. Who's in?

Right - time to confess my weekend sins.

Sat: pork kebabs, marinated chicken, potato salad, tricolore salad, caponata, ciabatta dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, olives, mixed berries and ice-cream, 3 truffles from Hotel Chocolat, lots of cava and some red wine.

Sun: danish pastry, lunch at Wagamamas, coffee and donuts at Krispy Kreme, roast chicken dinner, another donut ( why do they sell them in boxes of 12?) and more cava.

No exercise

Reasonable bed-times

OKish amounts of water

Make-up off at bed-time

A pretty poor end to the week all in all.

No need for sunscreen
Exercise - Games night @ Cubs, good as it gets.
No alcohol.
Raspberries and far too much bread today, with a few peanuts and "treats" thrown in.
Am aiming to get to bed by 11 pm, am going honest. (Failed miserably last night - ended up staying up very very late).
Not wearing make-up.
Have drunk four pints of water.

Exhausted - but self-inflicted.

I'm in, but a week late

Have not let a drop of alcohol pass my lips for 4 days
Went swimming yesterday
Have eaten well - kallo puffed rice with honey for breakfast instead of, ummm, nothing, fresh fruit with greek yoghurt instead of pudding, spinach (raw and steamed with lemon), green beans, salad, tomatoes...(did also have a couple of squares of choc [but Green&Black's so doesn't count, right??])
Makeup off too at night and minimal during day (but have horrid hormonal zits atm so need some cover-up )

Sunscreen, nope. Water, probably not enough. Bed, just going, honest...

I have been rubbish quite frankly.

I am not drinking anything like enough water and I have completely failed to exercise.

This week I turn over a new leaf.

Wine has been banned in the house on weekdays and I WILL exercise.

Find it very hard to drink water.

Am quite good at sunscreen & body treatements so will build on that.

Exercise - Traipsing round after a group of cubs all day.
Raspberries and plums. Toast, picnic lunch, steak for tea. Slipped up and had a bag of Thornton's Toffifee tonight...
Am aiming to get to bed by 11 pm.

Have only drunk two pints of water.

Am shattered, this internet "researching" lark is exhausting.

No exercise, no sunscreen, not enough water, all in all a bit rubbish. And am going to eat cake now, with whipped cream.

Then bed.

But on the plus side, no booze and lots of fruit.

last night, after stressful day
roasted cod
roast veg
lashings and lashings of white wine

today, with hangover
toast x 3 strawberry jam
a packet of minstrels
a Bounty
smoked salmon sandwich
cherries
apple
raspberries
packet of crisps
one of those horrible Ginsters breakfast things that's a cross between a scotch egg and a coleslaw filled sausage shaped thing, vile
foccacia dipped in olive oil
a whole Pizza Express American Hot pizza (small size mind you)
2 glasses red wine
not enough water
no sunscreen but worked 10 hour day, didn't leave the office
And going to bed in a minute.

New thread for improved intentions from Monday. So this thread is week 1 and 2.

Am i too late to join? Going on holiday at the end of the month and suddenly panicking.

Today - No sunscreen (no need in an aircon office is there?)
Weetaflakes/Bran flakes + skimmed
Fruit & fibre bar
Tiny bowl Crunchy Nut Cornflakes
S&V Discos
Special K bar
Apple
Curry
most of a bag of Maltesers.
About 700ml water.
no exercise.
Will do much better tomorrow.

Next week ladies, I will bring you acai. Fresh from the heart of the Amazon jungle, it is considered to have the most nutritional value of any fruit on earth, and has amazing anti-ageing and antioxidant properties. And it doesn't taste like the contents of your lawnmower.

Nutritional smugness aside, so far I have admirably, nay unbelievably stuck to the no wine in the week edict. DP, after swearing blind on Sunday that he was cutting down, lasted a whole 4 minutes after getting home on Monday (toddler induced stress my arse) and didn't even bother on Tuesday.

I have assumed an 'you are a hopeless alcoholic while I'm not' stance at home, which he deserves.

I am buying some scales, which are the only way I can motivate myself. I think booking the flights home will also give me a fixed date that I've got to lose the weight and unhealthy pallor by or risk 'we knew it wouldn't last' pisstaking by all my UK mates, who had to put up with my smugness after dropping 5 dress sizes at WW (DD's baby weight). Oh God, just thinking about it

Now, I'm off to find Enids thread to dish out some abuse over the gingsters incident (how COULD you?! ).

Okay I am really proud of self (smug emoticon) no booze for five days despite dp buying a bottle of Borolo last night...., only bread has been one slice of toast in the morning. Fruit and salad (sans the mayonaise) for lunch, and healthy tea (I will now doubtless fall off the wagon in spectacular fashion....

booze, make-up and bed-time situstion under control - the rest not doing so well - but I don't think I needed sunscreen yesterday

I always knew it would be harder in the holidays - I am starting a serious exercise regime in Sept, when I will be a lard-arse SAHM with 2 x kids in school

Am failing miserably at the moment, am hormonal and I've got to wait up for DH tonight and that'll be at least midnight.

have been back to Body Balance after period of absence and feeling v good about self

tomorrow am going into town to buy running shoes

am still drinking alcohol though. There has to be a limit.
