Following on from Week 1, \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=2350&threadid=149556&stamp=060306150312\here}, welcome to week 2 of WWW's ten years younger plan. The rules:

Be as happy as possible. The odd night of booze and chocolate is fine
It's not a diet, it's trying to eat healthily and well
Lots of water
Some exercise, walking is fine
Use sunscreen
Take your make up off before bed
Get enough sleep, aim to be in bed by 10, 10.30 every night

Good Luck to You.

Soyabean, I know if I got the job next week, but I had a good feeling about the interview IYSWIM. It's for working on a theatre's website.

soyabean · 11/03/2006 20:31

Fingers crossed then butternut!
I dont want toadmit what Ive eaten, hopeless again. I dont know why Im even on this thread, the only change I have made is the water drinking!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 11/03/2006 23:30

LOL Suzy! Add me to your Msn......Wink

bunny3 · 12/03/2006 00:03

I shall have to retire from this thread - more wine, loads of it PLUS lots of chocolate and cheese. No water. No sunscreen. I will look like a haggard old bag very soon, deservingly so.

Callmemadam · 12/03/2006 00:20

F F F*!!!!! PMT!!!!! Chocolate, white bread FGS, sausage, more chocolate, fish and chips at school quiz, and wine, and even more PMT! I want to slit wrists but will wait to see if I feel more normal in the morning:hate myself at present moment.................Blush

Blackduck · 12/03/2006 09:21

dp feeling cr*ppy yesterday, so didn't bother to cook properly, so I seem to have eaten my body weight in bread (carbs are my real downfall...) Had a glass of wine, and then wondered why I had bothered (see this as a GOOD sign!!). Have cut tea intake quite a bit, but not replaced it with enough water..... Still feel better in myself (less tired), even if I still look 100!

suzywong · 12/03/2006 12:13

All that white flour pizza dough has made me feel right gippy today, and as a consequence I am swearing off white flour and it's incarnations for a week. The question for the panel this evening is:
would it be OK to keep whole grains in my diet as well or should I go off all wheat.

God that was dull, wish I could tell you of a night of drink and debauchery but, alas it was not the case

moondog · 12/03/2006 12:33

I think all that 'no wheat' stuff is a load of shit, but do advocate whole grains.
There are so many interesting things-rye bread, spelt bread, quinoa, chick peas, lentilsbuckwheat, other pulses....

I am fighting to get into millet and barley at present.

Suze, would you be very offended if I edited out the errant apostrophe in 'its'??
Grin

I am feeling good, very good, even better for having been to chapel.
I think we should be thinking about spiritual as well as physical wellbeing and let me tell ya,an hour of peace and reflection does you a world of good.
I'm not madly religious but the USP of worship is that noone is trying to sell you anything, noone cares what you look like or what you do,there is no gormless beauty therapist wearing too much foundation, talking to you earnestly about 'destressing and rehydration' (get outta here!!)then charging you £50 for the dubious privilege of listening to pre recorded whale farts.

I don't go for anything trendy.
An austered Methodist chapel on a windy hillside does it for me.
Love it!!!!

suzywong · 12/03/2006 12:42

pedant

moondog · 12/03/2006 12:50

Feeling priggish today.
Must be chapel....

BudaBabe · 12/03/2006 12:52

Well I fel off the wagon and it left town without me!

Am starting again tomorrow! No booze and GI friendly foods. NO CRAP shall pass my lips!

WickedViperWitch · 12/03/2006 12:54

I think whole grains are ok, absolutely.
Moondog, ha ha at the USP of church!
Ate pizza, drank wine, I'm going to have to either stoppit next week or just keep copying and pasting 'I was crap, drank wine, ate loads, exercised not at all, sat on my arse a lot'

WickedViperWitch · 12/03/2006 12:54

I will start a week 3 thread tomorrow and we can all pretend we've been virtuous all along.

motherinferior · 12/03/2006 12:55

I am just entering this thread to confess that I have eaten HUGE amounts, drunk HUGE amounts, and am about to have a HUGE lunch. With wine.

moondog · 12/03/2006 12:56

Honestly,why do I bother!!
I am preparing a big bollocking for the lot of yerz!!!

WideWebWitch · 12/03/2006 12:58

Oh yes, we have a chick and roasted veg in the oven and I'm having wine too. And I've changed my name back because dh asked why I was WVW and not WWW (he looked while I was in the shower) and when I told him he said 'even you can see how saddo that is' Blush

ScummyMummy · 12/03/2006 14:47

I made partner go to bed early last night [halo emoticon] (Well, yes there was that but I sold it to him on the basis that he needed more sleep and should go to bed earlier, honest.) This prostletizing aside, I will have to leave in protest if we are required to look after our spiritual health, moondog. The very thought makes me want to heave, I'm afraid!

WideWebWitch · 12/03/2006 14:53

God isn't in the rules Scummy, I confirm this! Although anyone who wants to pray for good looks and health is most welcome to do so!

OP posts:
WideWebWitch · 12/03/2006 14:54

And I only used a capital because it was the beginning of the sentence, I don't usually since I don't consider it a proper name since I am a non believer! (no offence meant or taken to anyone I hope)

Hooray, hooray for a secular thread peopled by both the spiritual and the non-spiritual, united in their quest for health and beauty. Thanks www.:)

moondog · 12/03/2006 15:52

My 'spiritual' reference was made with knowing irony scummy.
Knowin only to me evidently.....Grin

swedishmum · 12/03/2006 17:46

I've achieved some objectives - my hands and feet are much improved (I even tried on posh shoes this week without thinking if my feet were horrible) though I've still not had too many days wine free (dh is away this week so I can try harder-no bad influence...).
My hair is cut but not coloured yet - it's not grey though, just very boring brown and I've been wearing proper clothes even for the school run. Twice this week people have admired coats I've had for ages but never worn. I've even been out to dinner with dh - 1st time in nearly a year - and booked babysitter again!
Thanks www - I probably still look at least 42 but feel a lot better about it Smile

moondog · 12/03/2006 18:06

Ooooh sm!
Some encouraging news!!

WideWebWitch · 12/03/2006 18:52

Glad to hear it swedishmum! And you deserve the wine tonight for sure.
