Following on from Week 1, \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=2350&threadid=149556&stamp=060306150312\here}, welcome to week 2 of WWW's ten years younger plan. The rules:

Be as happy as possible. The odd night of booze and chocolate is fine
It's not a diet, it's trying to eat healthily and well
Lots of water
Some exercise, walking is fine
Use sunscreen
Take your make up off before bed
Get enough sleep, aim to be in bed by 10, 10.30 every night

Good Luck to You.

Wink
moondog · 08/03/2006 20:21

Oh God,I sound like a right prig don't I??
You should have seen me last w/end. Had a party and was fagging in the utility room, swilling litlres of wine and then lurching back into the kitchen to attack my prize winnig spare ribs with gusto.
Grin

CountessDracula · 08/03/2006 20:27

phew

Am off to have a glass of wine now I think dd has finally settled down and it's nearly half time so I can stop being glued to the tv

ButternutSquash · 08/03/2006 21:01

I've been bad today aswell. Blush

I nicked biscuits from work too, today, although they were more crackers as they were savoury and cheese-flavoured, surely that's not as bad as sweet biscuits or is it? Grin But then I also had a bit of dd's flapjacks, homemade so I suppose not that bad. On the other hand I know how much sugar and butter went in them! Shock Grin

Moonshine, I hope you're eating plenty of the best chocolate to help you recover from your ordeal Sad. And by the way, since you asked about this, I put on my sun protection on in the morning and then forget about it, which is why I use one that lasts 8h. Smile

I am just looking at the Liz Earle website, the products look really good. The \link{http://www.lizearle.com/index_2.php?dl=1&userpage=pfocumar06&init=true\Superbalm Concentrate} seems amazing, has anyone tried it?

What about eye care products: do they really make a difference?

granarybeck · 08/03/2006 21:21

Oh bugger! Dh came home with wine and i succumbed, only one glass so far, but its so nice after stressful day Sad

Callmemadam · 08/03/2006 22:04

So proud, have just had 2nd day with no wine, but have thumping headache instead. withdrawal symptoms? Wink. Moondog, how do you survive on so little? You must have iron self-discipline, woman!Smile

moondog · 08/03/2006 22:06

God cmm, this is loads I think!
Have added a load of popcorn and two oranges since.

moonshine · 08/03/2006 22:16

Thanks ButternutSquash - think the crash shook me up more than I thought and have been eating some lovely Lindts and glugging white wine this evening without guilt!

What sun protection do you use btw? Think I need one that lasts a lot longer as I'm sure I sweat mine off before the morning is over and I don't remember to replenish it, hence tis a useless exercise by the end of the day.

Have been thinking hard about the being happy part and think, for me, buying some clothes that actually fit and flatter would help as I wouldn't a) be desperate to always quickly 'lose a few pounds' to fit back into what I got b) help me accept that trying to be a skinny mini is not a worthwhile lifetime project.

I think Moondog is definitely after that Goody-Two-Shoes of the week Badge as well Wink. We are not worthy.

moondog · 08/03/2006 22:28

I have not yet revealed my true vices........

moonshine · 08/03/2006 22:34

Only intravenous Liebfraumilch and furtive midnight feasts of pot noodles and KFC will jeopardise your position now...

moondog · 08/03/2006 22:36

lol
Shit food was never a vice, put it that way...

Caribbeanqueen · 08/03/2006 22:38

Having crap week so far. However, I have received the Jo Malone moisturisers I ordered last week, so that's some motivation for washing my face!

moonshine · 08/03/2006 22:38

Then we look forward to you fessing up and stop making us look so bad (well me anyway) Grin.

moonshine · 08/03/2006 22:40

CQ Envy

moondog · 08/03/2006 22:40

I will reveal all next time I am sloshed.
Grin

Caribbeanqueen · 08/03/2006 23:06

moonshine, the orange and geranium nightcream is lovely. Makes your skin really soft.

bunny3 · 08/03/2006 23:29

oh god are you all in bed??? So much for early nights - have had half a bottle of wine, coffee, chocolate and now a late night. No hope for me, I will look 40 on my birthday and I deserve to.

must drink more water tomorrow

WideWebWitch · 08/03/2006 23:33

No, am not in bed, eeek, will be soon. I can sleep in the day tomorrow though!

OP posts:
winnie · 09/03/2006 07:28

had a glass of red wine last night (the first in 2 weeks) and feel utterly sh*t this morning...

ScummyMummy · 09/03/2006 07:54

I had curry and a krispy kreme doughnut for dinner last night. Oh dear. And had a flapjacky thing earlier in the day (it did have a sunflower seed on top though). And too much coffee. It was so wet and miserable that I needed to cheer myself up with hot caffiene packed beverages.

Batters, my LizEarle parcel arrived today :)
I wish they'd stop putting freebies in Wink... I now have intensive nourishing treatment and know that I will love it and decide I can't live without it Grin

Soybean, how did I forget when I am using it religiously? I also use the Liz Earle sunscreen!

Butternutsquash, the superbalm concentrate is amazing. I use it and the smell alone is enough to buy it for. It is part of my bedtime routine every night!

I run a youth group and last night there was a professional dance teacher in and I felt so jealous that I couldn't/wouldn't join in because I am so overweight and self conscious. I would have loved it! Must try harder and shed some more weight.

Having said that this is the second day I've put knickers on and they've fallen down because I am losing weight! Thank god I wear trousers Blush

unicorn · 09/03/2006 09:18

Am I too late to join you all?

Have had awful bout of flu that has lasted an eternity, and aged me about a trillion years.

Also after 2 months of giving up the booze, I recently succumbed and felt absoultely deadful afterwards.

For a Liz Earle virgin what would you recommend?

I am trying to lose 2 stone but need to up my metabolism (the dreaded E word)

Cutting back food and alcohol helped shed a few pounds but it has ground to a halt now.

unicorn · 09/03/2006 09:19

lol 'deadful' Grin
