Following on from Week 1, \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=2350&threadid=149556&stamp=060306150312\here}, welcome to week 2 of WWW's ten years younger plan. The rules:

Be as happy as possible. The odd night of booze and chocolate is fine
It's not a diet, it's trying to eat healthily and well
Lots of water
Some exercise, walking is fine
Use sunscreen
Take your make up off before bed
Get enough sleep, aim to be in bed by 10, 10.30 every night

Good Luck to You.

Would you put Neal's Yard products on a par with Liz Earle

and did we ever find out what VVV's former life on tv was?

Piggiesmum · 09/03/2006 10:17

I need to rejoin and start again. It all went a bit pear-shaped last week for various reaons but determined to try again. After all it's not that hard is it?

Another Badger fan here too. Dh bought me loads of badger stuff to pamper myself with when i was in hospital for a few weeks before ds was born.
I have Sleep Balm, Foot Balm, Cuticle Care, Healing Balm, Lip Balm and a body balm. Dh has a Winter Warmer and ds has Baby Balm. Not that we are obsessed or anything :o

Blackduck · 09/03/2006 11:08

Foodwise yesterday was good...
Toast
Rye bread sarnie
Fiah with pasta (no cream or anything like that)
BUT wine - well friend came to dinner and I felt it was rude not to have a glass (or four...!)
Moisturised this morning - I like the sound of the badger stuff and may well try that...

Have definately lost a bit of weight (I work on how tight the clothes are so no idea how much) and am feeling a lot better. Doing less tea as well.

Still not enough water thou'

suzywong · 09/03/2006 11:23

what's fiah?

bundle · 09/03/2006 11:30

batters is it about £30?

yoyo · 09/03/2006 11:47

Had a very good day yesterday. Tiny glass of wine with supper and was in bed before 9 pm. DS woke at 1, 2 and 3 when I gave up and got in with him. Slept badly until 5.30, back to bed then he was up at 6. Feel crap.

I am still doing the RePlenish and it is definitely having a positive effect. Hands are marginally better.

Time for lunch - tuna and spelt crackers. A few glasses of water.
Tea will be leek and potato soup and I think I will be in bed at a ridiculous time again.

My knickers are not falling down unfortunately!!

trix1 · 09/03/2006 11:53

Hello, Can I join in too please. Im 33 and really need to start taking a bit more care of myself, Ive started to get lines/crinckly skin on my face and my skin is soooo dry. Probably made worse at the moment as Im pregnant. I try to eat healthy but do fail miserably. i need some encouragement - like you ladies.

Do you recommend this Liz Earle range? is it expensive?

yoyo · 09/03/2006 11:57

trix - if you call the lovely people at Liz Earle they will tell you which of their products are safe for use during pregnancy (they use aromatherapy oils). They are well-priced for the quality and because they arrive beautifully packaged it always feels like a luxurious treat.

Blackduck · 09/03/2006 12:18

FISH! Ahhh typing error...(it was lovely!! fish, chilli, fennel seeds...yummm)

winnie · 09/03/2006 12:33

Batters, I just massage it into 'problem areas' once I've finished all the other "creaming" :)

Bozza · 09/03/2006 12:58

Right I am sidling into this thread too. So far today have had:
two slices of wholemeal toast with marg
glass apple juice
can diet coke
1 litre water
a tomato
Cheese savoury and lettuce sandwich on brown
About 10 Chinese spicy rice cracker nibbles (someone brought them into the office)

We have totally run out of fruit at home though. Shock And Asda not due til 7. Might have to buy some to give to the kids. Planning on having tuna steak in chilli and lime, mashed potatoes and sweetcorn wheels tonight. I suppose mash is bad. Will have to give the kids most of it.

Bozza · 09/03/2006 12:59

Also what does deep moisturising mean?

trix1 · 09/03/2006 13:02

All I have had so far is 2 Weetabix and a cup of tea. Need to drink some water now.

Will have some homemade leek & potatoe soup for lunch and cottage pie for dinner.

JoseMourinho · 09/03/2006 14:06

was v good this am

Have been for a cheesy winey lunch in Leadehall market but only had 1 glass and a smallish quantity of cheese

CountessDracula · 09/03/2006 14:08

whoops it's me sorry

moonshine · 09/03/2006 14:08

These Liz Earle and Jo Malone products sound lovely but money is very tight chez Moonshine so I shall add them to my wishlist for if/when I get a job that actually allows me to spend a few pennies.

I have had Weetaflakes (not overly impressed by them - back to porridge for me), sushi and a walnut whip today so not too bad. Am knackered after being woken up by my ratty invader gnawing away in our bedroom (under the floorboards I think/hope). Think I need some MN help from fellow ex-sufferers as it really is affecting my sleep/stress/comfort-eating.

It's a shame we can't see before and after photos though - would love to see if all our efforts are worthwhile (however pathetic some of us, ahem, have been). Maybe we should do hoof and hands photos! On second thoughts....

moonshine, hoof and hand photos Grin

soyabean · 09/03/2006 14:42

callmemadam no i am not alone but not a lot of action in the soya household so socks dont make much difference...I think it was suggested on the horned hoofers thread and does seem to make a difference. Thanks for link Winnie, not sure I can spare the extra ££ at the mo but maybe one day. It does sound like its good stuff.
I am not doing brilliantly but do appreciate this thread as atleast I am thinking about what I should be doing.
Water water, must go and drink another glass.

trix1 · 09/03/2006 14:46

Ive just ordered the spring offer from Liz Earle their customer services were fantastic. very impressed, hope the products are as good. Thats my only treat for the month.

winnie · 09/03/2006 19:58

I've had a good day :)

55 minutes of yoga

Ate banana, kiwi fruit, dried apricots & organic fat free yogurt for breakfast
homemade leek & potato soup with organic granary bread for lunch
spinach & mushroom risotto for dinner
Plus a pear and an orange
& two organic digestive biscuits

No coffee
2 litres of water
creamed; face, hands and feet :)

  • suncream

plus 55 minutes of yoga :)

How has everyone else done today?

yoyo · 09/03/2006 20:01

Winnie - I was just thinking of having a glass of wine after my Space NK bath but having read your post I may not! Perhaps another early night with The Bonesetter's Daughter...
