WWW's six week ten years younger plan, anyone interested?

The rules are:

Eat healthily but this isn't a diet, just eat well
Drink less booze. I'm going to go for 6 weeks of NO booze but you can join and just drink in moderation
Do some exercise at least 15 minutes/day, I will be doing as many brisk walks as possible, I don't really like any other exercise
Take your make up off every night
Use sunscreen every day
Get more sleep. I am going to try to be in bed by 10pm at the latest every night

That's it. Who's in?

good luck to you

I have been doing this for the past 5 weeks and I reckon I have rolled back at least 4 years, maybe even 5, and also lost half a stone.

But then I also have a very nice tan so I suppose that is helping

Good idea though

Mascaraohara · 24/02/2006 10:31

Me! accept I won't do the sunscreen bit (even if I say I would I won't) so I will opt out of that right now.

I could do with going to be at 10pm.. that would be nice!

WideWebWitch · 24/02/2006 10:31

'Good luck to you' - that's what the trainer guy says on Celeb Fit Club

i'm in. i'm going to drink though but try and stop during the week (i did do a month off in jan tho)

www, i really need to do something, am in a desperate state atm!

thanks for this thread.

WigWamBam · 24/02/2006 10:33

I'm in. I could do with looking after myself a bit better, and heaven knows I could do with looking and feeling ten years younger!

I don't drink anyway, so no problem with your second point ... however, I know I don't drink enough so I shall make an effort to drink more water as part of eating healthily.

I don't wear makeup either ... so that makes things slightly easier if I haven't got to take it off

suzywong · 24/02/2006 10:36

I am the trainer on Celeb Fit Club

miserable old fishface

fairyjay · 24/02/2006 10:39

OK - I'll go for it.

Did this when I hit 40 and it made a huge difference - somehow I've slipped well back into old habits.

I know it can work!!!

Tinker · 24/02/2006 10:40

Love the idea but don't think I could manage the last 5 of those.

zippitippitoes · 24/02/2006 10:40

I'll do it then I'll be nearly the same aga as dp

I'm in www although I think I also need to investigate more radical interventions!

Marina · 24/02/2006 10:44

I expect you are gorgeous in RL though GGGL

FireBadTreePretty · 24/02/2006 10:50

i would join but then i'd be 16
and i'm not going through that again!

lizardqueen · 24/02/2006 10:51

Can I join in please .

I also think I should get my teeth bleached. Anyone done this, or thinking of doing it? Any tips? Where/how/how much does it cost?

FrannyandZooey · 24/02/2006 10:55

What if we already do most of the above and still look like sh*t?

Is there a more drastic version for those who overdid it in their youth?

I'm in. especially after last night, hot dogs for tea, cider and 11.30pm bedtime, not sensible with a 4.5 month baby who doesn't sleep through yet.
Don't need to do no.4 and probably wont do no.5 but the rest certainly need doing

Marina · 24/02/2006 11:05

batters that is because I was hiding behind a pile of bread and wearing make-up which I most deffo did not take off that night!
Agree that www already has a head start on some of us

me me me am in very very bad way indeed atm

I will be 40 in October and so need to get myself back in shape and feel more lively. Have just had a vile awful terrible couple of weeks with dd, dh and I ill so really need to shake that off and feel more positive.

Dh has just ordered an exercise bike as neither of us gets time to go to the gym though we are both members, we have made a pact to do 30 mins each a night plus I do plenty of walking briskly too, but shall walk more briskly (scuttle maybe)

am not going for no booze but cutting right down

Will eat healthily, have been considering doing the cereal twice a day thing for a couple of weeks during the week only, as will save so much time in the evening on cooking and can have a really big good lunch every day (can use the Lloyd's canteen which is great)

I always take my make up off anyway!

My tinted moisturiser stuff is spf 15 and I wear it every work day anyway

YES good idea, I currently faff around til midnight a lot.

nowanearlyNicemum · 24/02/2006 11:28

yep, I'm in, desperate action needed here and when you write them down like that they're all very simple little things that I'm sure will make a huge difference. Can't stand dieting!!

Pollyanna · 24/02/2006 11:49

What about adding drinking 2 litres of water every day too?

CountessDracula · 24/02/2006 12:11

oh I am also going to cut down on caffeine as am addict
