The rules are:

Eat healthily but this isn't a diet, just eat well
Drink less booze. I'm going to go for 6 weeks of NO booze but you can join and just drink in moderation
Do some exercise at least 15 minutes/day, I will be doing as many brisk walks as possible, I don't really like any other exercise
Take your make up off every night
Use sunscreen every day
Get more sleep. I am going to try to be in bed by 10pm at the latest every night

That's it. Who's in?

winnie, it takes ages to feel better from not drinking ime! You will start to feel great any day soon I predict.

Cold is definitely improving - no Vit C in house but have eaten lots of oranges. May get some echinacea in as DH still hasn't fully recovered from the flu thing either.

Have already had lots of water and walked to and from school so have started well. Pumiced my hands yesterday as they were appalling and am slathering loads of cream on now - they already look so much better. I also exfoliated and epilated my legs yesterday so feel as though I am off to a pretty good start!

Now I am off to do lots of housework.

Well after a traumatic start to the morning (we had snow over the weekend and have a VERY steep hill from our garage to the road, drove car out of garage and got almost to the top of the hill and just slid back down again - missed the wall by about 2 inches - then had to manouvre away from wall!), I have had porridge for breakfast and am just off to sort out my vitamins and have a large glass of water. May have a chamomile tea to soothe nerves!

Off to a friend's for a sushi lunch and magazine swap. Healthy I feel!

I will manage being healthy through the day but will struggle when DH comes home and suggests a drink!!

Started this am with porridge and bought luxe foot cream at weekend in preparation for hoof banishment.
Have hit dh with the news that crisps, choc and booze are off my list for six weeks and he has nobly agreed to consume my share with minimal lipsmacking gusto.
Am sipping demurely from large bottle of water here (but did have coffee, sorry, that's a step too far) and am going for half-hour stomp round the City streets at lunchtime.
Hair is one of the few parts of my person I'm pleased with at the moment.

cod · 27/02/2006 11:34

This thread is going to cost us all a fortune!

Batters, having bought suncream and superbalm on friday I am not sure I should be spending more money on my face this week... and I am about to run out of my cleansing polish, tonic and moisturiser! I think I will see how I feel this time next week... but... Grin

I am feeling virtuous as I've drunk a litre of water this morning as well as a fruit tea and an earl grey tea ... oh and hot water and lemon when I got up ... no wonder I can't stop going to the loo Blush

granarybeck · 27/02/2006 14:22

oo this is just what i need, mind if i join today? are you all using sunscreen in addition to moisturiser or moisturiser with it in? its one of the things you know you should do but seems such a faff! for cleansing and daily make up removal, any recommendations? i have just run out and am wondering whether to stick to clarins (cleansing milk)?

bossykate · 27/02/2006 14:29

yes i'm in! although i think i will have to start tomorrow as am out for dinner tonight.

i think i also need to add in "stop smoking"...

recommendations for foot cream please!

for faces - i recommend dermalogica daily microfoliant every day plus as a night cream(rather bizarrely...) wild rose beauty balm from neal's yard mixed with a little bit of rosehip seed oil - my skin looks wonderful in the morning when i've done this.

Shock at how many of you don't use moisturiser with spf! i love olay daily radiance - i can almost get away w/o make up when i use it (especially if i have done the wild rose/rosehip seed oil routine the night before).

anyway, i will checking in here Smile

eemie · 27/02/2006 15:01

www, just seen this, can I join? Feeling like horribly raddled old bag, washerwoman's hands, hedge hair, the lot.

Finished the last of my filter coffee at work today so won't buy more. Have been cutting down alc on & off but not drinking more water, so could start. Dread doing any exercise because I'm so cold all the time but suspect that's partly because I don't do enough exercise.

Could get to bed by 10.30.

Fingers crossed

Sonnet · 27/02/2006 15:02

where's the HH thread???
Have bought cheese grater thingy in preperation!!

Blackduck · 27/02/2006 15:06

I'm in - feel about 80 at the mo' - giving up booze, need to lose half a stone (sensibly), and just need to feel better about myself...

I need to lose a lot of weight but am so bored of diets..healthy eating will be better.will stop all alcohol and chocolate from tomorrow- it's lent as well so have a good excuse.
need to drink more water-skin is so dry.and have dark rings under my eyes.
