Bloss, yeay for the rugby!

Kildare, wow, DD's dress sounds fabulous! I fondly remember my first uni ball....

Vin, glad to see that the interview outfits are sorted. I love the Paul Smith dress, like it even better in green! (Am seeking to embrace colour).

Fritzi, welcome home, hope you got to spend some time with your DH away from the blackberry.

Tracey, I have succumbed, and bought a BBH... Dynasty here I come!

MrsJ, holiday sounds lovely. And I am jealous of your bag shopping!

And NY, I really hope things are picking up for DD, and that you're surviving OK.

Am still catching up on the thread properly, sorry if I've missed anything..

redllamayellowllama · 12/02/2011 21:21

Thanks for new thread Apuski.

Outfit sounds lovely Everything and sounds like the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Bloss, hope you had a lovely evening with DH. Love both of the Jigsaw tops and very much lime the trousers Tracey linked to on your behalf.

Vin, was in the Blackheath one, but regardless of this, you really should man up. Let me know if you ever feel like meeting for a coffee (or even, dare I say it, a drink). Sorry to hear about all of your woes with house-hunting, what a huge PITA it is proving to be. Paul Smith dress veh nice.

MrsJ, the top you linked to is further evidence that I should shop only at Warehouse.

Hope you're doing ok NY and that DD is responding well to treatment. She sounds very, very brave!

pickledsiblings · 12/02/2011 21:29

Evening lovely ladies.

Thanks for the new thread Apuski.

All this talk of bags is making me really want one. I love the AH ones but may have to settle for a cheaper Boden bag instead; Not for another 5 weeks though.

NY, hope DD is on the mend.

KILDARE how lovely to hear about your DD, you must have been so proud of her, all dressed up and looking beautiful.

MrsJ, you are doing some serious shopping girl. Have you got a dress for MOAM yet?

notyummy · 12/02/2011 23:35

Thanks for starting the thread Apuski. Posting from the iPhone via rubbish reception in hospital ward so can't look at links. Your daughters outfit sounds lovely Kildare.

I do have some S & B news. Had full length frock delivered yesterday and think it's z keeper for my posh do. Mum cast her eye over it last night and was complimentary. I need tit tape (anyone bought it? Where from?) and some sort of cups to go over boobs as dress is quite low front and back and shows any normal bra. I think j have seen the sort of thing I meanin magazines, so will have a look at Figleaves when I get the chance. Have also booked train for MOAM - Inc first class on the way back so I can nurse my hangover in peace Grin.

Thanks for all the thoughts for dd. She is on the mend, but is v breathless. Cheeky though!! She has learned how to write notes on my iPhone whilst in hospital and after I admonished her for something earlier she leaned over with the phone in her hand and said ' I know how to spell 'mummy' but I need you to tell me how to spell 'bossy' so I can finish my sentence.'

She slipped and fell off her bed earlier and has a deep puncture/gash in her chin that she is unworried by, but has bled copiously and the SHO on duty has decided that it needs proper stitching - if it's not one thing it's another!!! Her best friend visited her earlier to surprise her and brought a lovely present. She was sooooo pleAsed to see him and they wondered round hand in hand. v sweet and so nice of his mum to bring him, as it us quite a trek to the hospital- best part of N hour each way.

The consultant thinks that her immunisations may not have worked properly, as she has had p eumonia twice in a year and it is the strain that is covered by the jabs. There is also a possibility of a congenital issue with the lung, which is apparently not as sinister as it sounds. We will have to go bCk when she is let out for various tests to see what can be done to try and ensure it doesn't happen again.

Well done if you made it through the mammoth post and have great weekends!

ApuskiDusky · 12/02/2011 23:42

I am meant to be asleep but....

NY, I'm so glad to hear she's on the mend, gash and all. And wow at your dress that needs tit tape!

OP posts:
carciofi · 13/02/2011 09:04

NY, glad your DD is getting better. This tape is good.

Kildare, wow at the Issa dress, your dd must be the envy of her friends.

I like the Boden bag, they have some nice leather bags for spring.

DD and I going to Peter Jones to buy house stuff this morning, I might bribe her with snacks and look in a few shops along the Kings Rd.

I have finally given in and am going to wear maternity clothes. What can I wear with grey leggings and belstaffs? Long tank top and DKNY cozy? I bought these tops but don't like them and returned them.

FritziGreenEyes · 13/02/2011 10:12

apuski Thanks for starting a new thread!

pickled I really like that Boden bag. Have a similar Furla one in black for winter but I might be tempted by the pewter for spring.

Kildare Your DD sounds gorgeous! She is really lucky to have such a wonderful and stylish Mum Smile.

notyummy How wonderful that your DD got a visit from her best friend. Sounds like she is better despite additional injury on chin. Where is your new dress from? Tit tape here from La Senza Hope you can get some rest and exhausted too. Hope you can be home with DS soon.

AllBuggiedOut · 13/02/2011 11:15

Bonkers busy here; we had DS3's birthday swimming party yesterday; I managed a passable copy of the Hungry Caterpillar cake I think, and was very pleased with Janice & footless Woolfords combo. Photo of cake on profile Wink.

bloss glad you made cake.

notyummy loving your DD's sentance Grin

Bonsoir · 13/02/2011 11:27

Hello everyone Smile. Real life is very busy but want to mark my place. So sorry to read that your DD is still in hospital, notyummy though it sounds as if she is on the mend and getting the attention she needs.

DP and I went to London yesterday - we spent two hours wandering round Westfield shopping centre (my DP has professional interest in shopping centres), which I found totally knackering and very unpleasant - Saturday afternoon crowds and far too much noise - and then we went to see Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss in The Children's Hour. Thought KK was fab and completely outshone the rest of the cast. Bryony Hannah, the newcomer that the critics raved about in the role of Mary Tilford, was, I thought, really dreadful: she overacted and was in any case very badly cast - she should have been much prettier and obviously spoiled. Oh well!

Read the new Vanity Fair on the train home and desperately want a copy of the new book about Il Pellicano that was featured in it - just my kind of glamour Smile

hf128219 · 13/02/2011 12:18

Hi all. Mega hectic here. Managed a good score shooting yesterday. Mad dash to children's party and then another dash to get changed for evening do!

Bed at 3 and then dd woke us up at 05.30! DH taken her out for lunch whilst I take advantage of free ebay listings.

Bonsoir I presume the book is about the hotel? It is a beautiful place but haven't been for years.

NY Fingers crossed for a full recovery for dd.

redllamayellowllama · 13/02/2011 12:36

NY, glad to hear DD is getting better (in spite of gash( and that think they know what's going on. She sounds to have so much spirit!

My best tit tape tip (try saying that in a hurry) is to buy a roll of toupe tape. It is much stronger than the actual tit tape and comes in big rolls so you can get the exact amount you need, rather than the little strips. I got mine from a wig shop for about £5 and have had it for years. Am sure you'd be able to get it somewhere online though.

redllamayellowllama · 13/02/2011 12:38

Gah, that first sentence was awful - feeding and typing.

mrsjuan · 13/02/2011 13:04

Marking place - thanks for new thread Apuski.

Wow Kildare - your daughter sounds beautiful - is she your eldest?

Glad your DD is on the mend NY. What a shame that she's managed to hurt her chin as well! At least she was in the right place.

Sorry that your DS has been in hospital too exhausted. Hope he's fully recovered now.

I can't see your caterpillar cake ABO Sad

hf - thank you for the reminder of the ebay free listings - must make myself do it.

pickled no, still no MOAMU dress !
