Grin Vin, quite!

TheAllNewOoooh · 13/02/2011 15:54

I have a pretty picture of you in my head now...

You could accessorise the look with something I saw on the bus the other day: a blackberry encrusted all over with pink rhinestones Shock Shock. Essential for keeping in touch with work, dontcha think?

Don't forget the hoop earrings if you do decide to flounce Grin

pickledsiblings · 13/02/2011 16:16

Ahh Fritzi, it must have been Roman with the lovely long legs. I am sure you are gorgeous too and definitely taller than me Grin.

Macaron anyone? With Brew of course.

TheAllNewOoooh · 13/02/2011 16:49

Shock we have Brew too!

Yes pickled I remember Roman's long legs Envy. Are you another shortie like me (5ft 1)?

Hardly know what to do with myself. Might make a Brew to recover!

carciofi · 13/02/2011 17:06

Looby, I must confess that I have promptly returned any Boden bags I have ever bought. Oushka bags are nice too and also more reasonable than Anya Hindmarch/Mulberry.

TTC cut-off for me personally is 40.

Great cake, ABO.

Bonsoir · 13/02/2011 17:11

pickledsiblings - I'm afraid that every patisserie in my neighbourhood competes to make macarons more beautiful and mouthwatering than the next, so I don't really ever contemplate DIY. I mostly just try to avoid giving in to temptation! I did, however, bring a big box of fresh macarons over to England with me this weekend and they were divine!

vin - I think Bryony Hannah is just not a very good actress. And certainly not pretty or charming enough to be convincing in the role of a girl who can twist her rich, spoilt and self-centred grandmother around her little finger!

fritzi - I know, Il Pellicano looks divine and I am forever on the lookout for that kind of understated subtle glamour and elegance in a holiday destination. So hard to find...

Green macarons are usually pistachio-flavoured.

In my very favourite local family-run patisserie, there are really delicious Nutella macarons. And to die for vanilla ones...

Fleecy · 13/02/2011 17:41

Afternoon all,

ny I hope you're DD is recovering well. She sounds fab and very funny - bossy mummy indeed! Must be very draining for you all.

vin I agree with tracey that namechanging isn't an option as they'll just find out your new name if they're that interested. Please don't leave us though! Tricky!

I am delighted by the Brew as I will not be able to enjoy Wine for the next few months Grin Am only just over 6wks so early days and feeling extremely paranoid this time round but hopefully things will work out. Bump already showing - did any of you find that so early in subsequent pregnancies?

Have told family but not work - 'tho not sure how long I can hide it at this rate.

carciofi · 13/02/2011 17:52

Fleecy, congratulations! How are you feeling?

KILDARE4 · 13/02/2011 18:00

Afternoon Ladies, thanks for all your kind comments regarding dd, I am very proudSmile, she is my eldest.

NY sorry to hear DD is still in the wars, 'hope that she gets out of hospital soon.

As regards age and babies I guess we're all different, I know that I was nervous in my late thirties with my last pregnancy, and that being pregnant in your twenties is alot different to being pregnant in your forties just from an energy / personal wellbeing point of view. But some times circumstances dictate that we don't have a choice.

Bought BBH today will report back on how I get on, hair is big enough, just looking for a more groomed look!

Also bought Maybelline make up as recommended by Verity, does actually seem very nice, and I would not be easily swayed from my normal mac foundation.

Off to serve dinner.

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2011 18:03

Fleecy oh my goodness! Congratulations! Smile

KILDARE4 · 13/02/2011 18:06

Fleecy What wonderful news! Congratulations!Smile

redllamayellowllama · 13/02/2011 18:24

Congratulations Fleecy - fantastic news! My bump showed so early with DD.

Vin - very odd behaviour from this person and a difficult position for you as, like Tracey says, you have a very familiar (and wonderful) posting style.

Was in French Connection today and wanted to buy the whole place out. Narrowed it to a few and then DD desperate for a feed. Will link later and seek your wiseness.

TheAllNewOoooh · 13/02/2011 18:31

Fleecy that is the most lovely news. Have you told your DCs yet?

notyummy · 13/02/2011 18:38

Congratulations Fleecy!

traceybath · 13/02/2011 18:39

Oh congratulations Fleecy! I showed quickest with DD but ultimately gained the least weight.

ApuskiDusky · 13/02/2011 18:39

Congratulations Fleecy!

Congratulations fleecy lovely news. I showed much quicker with subsequent pregnancies......although I ended up the same size by the end!

FritziGreenEyes · 13/02/2011 18:51

Fleecy Wonderful news, so excited for you!! I think it's better to have a bump early because it's obvious then you're pregnant and not just getting bigger.

loobylu3 · 13/02/2011 18:52

Lovely news fleecy!
I showed v early with number three too and felt uncomfortable in anything fitted/ tight from the start (partly due to the nausea).

carciofi- have never heard of oushka bags so will have a look- thanks you!

I think the age thing is personal but the decision to ttc is obviously influenced by so many other things. The risk of chromosomal abnormalities is really high >40 yrs- about 1 in 50, I think.
For me personally I would probably wouldn't want to ttc no.4 after 38/39 but that is taking into account all of my circumstances.
However, if I had met someone in my late 30s and wanted to have two DC, I would probably ttc at 40/41.
I would prefer not to give any more details about my friend out of respect for her. I was just surprised to hear that she wanted more in her individual circumstances (age and other things too) and it made me think more about it.

red I really fancy a peek at FC soon as it all looks rather lovely online :)

bonsoir- your life always sounds so glamorous. It sounds as if you had a v special weekend with DP.

kildare your DD must have looked beautiful in her dress! How many DC do you have?

DarrellRivers · 13/02/2011 18:54

Am thinking of joining you.
Am in dire need of fashion chat.
My friend at the school gates who I used to chat to about clothes, hair, makeup, and all sorts has gone to live in Australia and now I am left with people who don't quite seem to have the same interest.

Your thread moves so quickly though, I'm not sure I could keep up.

I bought BBH yesterday and am very impressed at how like having a salon blowdry it was.
I have lovely big hair now.

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2011 18:57

I'm going to have to buy a BBH thing now.

Welcome Darrell Smile. Stay, it's good for nice links and stuff.
