New thread!

Not that I've been on the old one much Blush)

OP posts:
blossoming · 13/02/2011 19:19

Yes, do stay darrell. The more the merrier (or the more, the more links and the more expensive.. but that's just me!)

fleecy, such lovely news. Fingers crossed for you. I think I was showing with my 3 straight away. Could have been because I was TTC though and therefore eating more! Hope you're feeling well. I did think you'd been MIA recently. Probably with a secret! Do you think ltec's in the same boat??
And roma, and esher, and hells? Quite a few missing.

vin, I think you have to do what you think is right and accept any consequences. Only you know what is right for you. I know we all profer an opinion on your life, but really, it's ultimately your decision.
I would be mortified if someone recognised me btw. The waffle I come up with on a daily basis drives even me insane!

traceybath, thanks for the link yesterday, and I'm excited about the Jigsaw top now you've tried it on.

carciofi, I had a good time last night, but I ate too much, drank too much, had a food hangover all day, then friends from where we used to live came for lunch, and I made steak pie with shortcrust pastry, and I think I must have had about 5000 calories just at lunch time, so feeling bleurgh. Probably got a bigger bump than you!

It's taken us till now to get the place tidied and to wash up.

TheAllNewOoooh · 13/02/2011 19:24

Swooping in quickly to say that there's 15% off Mint Velvet if you use OCADO as a code at the checkout. I've used it to order the combo linked to on the last thread - by MM I think? - and will report back.

redllamayellowllama · 13/02/2011 19:27

Hi Darrell, you'll need all the powers of self-restraint you possess!

Annoying French Connection do not have all if the things I saw today online. These trousers in the navy are gorgeous and this top was lovely. But the really exciting finds were a short sleeved red Breton dress and a gorgeous, gorgeous navy maxi which flattered me so well. Obviously I now need both.

I love this dress, but am now sufficiently wise to recognise it did me no favours. But is just so pretty.

mrsjuan · 13/02/2011 19:30

Congratulations Fleecy! How exciting Grin

Hi Darrell - you're welcome to pop in and out if it's moving quickly - always something nice to look at.

Red - looking forward to your French connection links - there's some lovely things on the website.

Vin - that's horrible - I think it's easy to forget that we are fairly easily findable on here but it's quite strange behaviour for someone to deliberately seek you out. Don't go - there's always pm ing if you want to talk about more personal things.

Tracey - yes, please bring the BBH to the meet up! We can all have a go and see how wonderful it is.

Looby - hard to put a cut off point age on it, particularly if one doesn't meet one's partner until their mid / late 30s. Many people I know have had trouble free pregnancies in their early 40s but barring unforeseen circumstances, I can't see myself having children over the age of 35.

blossoming · 13/02/2011 19:30

It wasn't the great plains red breton dress was it llama. I know they sell Great Plains in my local FC.

hf128219 · 13/02/2011 19:32

Fleecy Congratulations! Wonderful news.

Welcome Darrell Just post when you can.

Kildare Meant to say I can imagine you were a very proud mummy to see your dd all dressed up - bet she looked amazing. Fab choice of dress.

Bloss Your lunch sounds great!

Looby I would say 39/40. I had dd when I was 37 1/2. The same age my mum had me! SIL is undergoing IVF at the moment. She is 42. Desperate to have a baby - it's really rather sad for her.

Apuski Back to those books!

Fritzi Bet you are enjoying being home - hope you are feeling better.

mrsjuan · 13/02/2011 19:35

I'd be mortified too Bloss If I were recognised! Was discussing MOAMU with DH today trying to come up with a cover story for why I'm going to London for the weekend in case anyone asks - we have decided that I am going to a conference for work Grin

DH was trying not to snigger at the fact I am meeting up with you all and was doing admirably until I told him that people were coming from abroad at which point he couldn't control himself anymore Grin

ApuskiDusky · 13/02/2011 19:35

Lol hf, could you see me!?

OP posts:
traceybath · 13/02/2011 19:37

Oh this is nice

traceybath · 13/02/2011 19:39

Waves to Darrell Smile

MrsJ - I just call you all my pretend friends to my mother and my sister.

FritziGreenEyes · 13/02/2011 19:39

hf I'm glad to be home but still don't feel 100% and am a bit apprehensive when the carousel of daily routine starts again tomorrow.

Had a look a FC website too. Many nice things on there too. Have you noticed that every brand has now Houli-alike trousers, and something in butterfly and/or bird print?

hf128219 · 13/02/2011 19:39

Apuski Yes Grin

Tracy That is a nice dress.

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2011 19:40

Oh MrsJ don't... Grin dh keeps saying there is no way you will go. You don't know them... yadda yadda

I am going. He is wrong!

FritziGreenEyes · 13/02/2011 19:40

mrsjuan You could even call it an international conference Wink.

hf128219 · 13/02/2011 19:42

Sorry Tracey

Fritzi Hope tomorrow goes smoothly. Gosh I haven't looked at any S/S clothes really at all. Pouring rain here - and like Hells trying to focus on house stuff.

Must become more avid.

FritziGreenEyes · 13/02/2011 19:43

tracy Had bookmarked this dress too but I'm not sure about the colour. The description says "storm", is that a very, very dark grey or just another word for black?

mrsjuan · 13/02/2011 19:44

Yes, I like that Tracey. Friends and family have no idea about this thread and I'd like it to stay that way unless they go snooping!

Indeed Fritzi - lots of wildlife around atm. I tried on the Topshop houlilikeys yesterday - man they are tight! Looked good once I'd wedged myself in but I don't think I'd want to be doing that every time I wanted to wear them.

mrsjuan · 13/02/2011 19:46

Grin Fritzi

Marsha - you have to come! I'm quite glad I've booked train and hotel because now there's less chance I will wimp out. Note I say less chance, not no chance.

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2011 19:48

Oh yes I am. Indeedy. Dh is quite simply Wrong Grin.

IN fact he is in the other room with a bottle (Shock) finally! for preparation. so I will be uninterrupted.

Really looking forward to it..... Grin

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2011 19:51

(well apart from that I'll probably look nothing like you all imagine me to Wink. But other than that, will be fantastic)

traceybath · 13/02/2011 19:52

Was thinking about what to wear to MOAM today and its still going to be chilly isn't it - am not sure if I'll be up to braving bare legs or still be in opaques.

AllBuggiedOut · 13/02/2011 19:56

So sorry that is something you have experienced Ant Sad

marsha no idea why you can't see the cake Confused

Thanks vin

And fleecy yay! Great news.

On the subject of great Plains am liking this very much although wrong colours for me.

roary · 13/02/2011 19:58

Stamp, stamp!

Vin creepy...but don't leave!

You are all my imaginary friends when I talk to DH but I sometimes find myself making up elaborate cover stories for where I heard about a piece of clothing or heard a funny story because it's all just too complicated to edxplain.

redllamayellowllama · 13/02/2011 19:58

Good thinking Bloss, but no, was a t-shirt dress with slashed short sleeve (nearly sleevleless), red with white stripes. Really lovely.

Loads of wildlife around Fritzi, normally love it, but it already feels over-exposed iykwim.

PlumSykes · 13/02/2011 19:59

Darrell, stay, hang out, we'll chat! The thread does move fast, but there's no problem just dropping in every few days, like I do. Like you, I have no-one in real life who is this commited to helping me find the perfect black ankle boot.

Fleecy, lovely news. Congratulations! Are you feeling poorly, or okay?

Am watching Baftas, lots of lovely frocks, looking forward to looking at photos tomorrow.
