It's that time again..... Step kid weekend!

I'm just sitting, with wine in hand, waiting for them to descend.

I really wish I could say I look forward to these weekends but I dread them for various reasons

Here's WineandChocolate for anyone else who can relate

If you say do satinthedark what got my posts deleted was having a go at another poster, not because I resent my step kids, or I think without them I have the perfect family.

You know what I think I'm done with this.

Sorry ladies but I cannot deal with these shitty remarks any more, from people who have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.

The first weekend after DD was born DS became distressed because we didn't send DD back to the ExW with DSD and DSS. He assumed all siblings would go for the weekend and was quite put out that this one was staying full time!

ExW still refers to DS and DD as her children's stepbrother and sister despite the fact that they all share the same father! The woman has a PhD. Sigh. I suppose it's her way of trying to create distance but it's not correct.

It is very hard for the kid going between two houses, we have in the past talked to dsc and amended contact so theres less coming and going.

We tried the day out together thing. Once. It did not go well sadly. We do joint school things, thats good.

anyone started christmas shopping yet? I've got a few things but wait for my bonus, that is then split 50/50 on both kids. (with a bit left over for mulled wine!) Grin

I think it's lovely you do school things together evil . I have bought their (yes all children's ) Xmas day / Boxing Day outfits and pjs so only stocking fillers really. Starting though as I know it comes around far too fast . Does anyone have their DSC Xmas day ? We did last year so won't this year .

satinthedark · 01/11/2016 21:54

Sleepy - I never said you did resent your DSCs - however, some comments by posters on this thread clearly do.

Just to be sanctimonious I have done almost all ym Xmas shopping and wrapped it!!!! I had a brain storm lst weekend and 4 hrs with no DCs and no DSCs - I went shopping mad - the plastic bent and bent again and the bottle of red was fab!!!

Off to polish my Xmas shopping halo and sharpen my trident to poke annoying SMs, DSCs, EXs, EX -EXs and anyone in my way to world domination!!

Good evening again all
You'll notice there are a fair few holes in this thread due to posters breaking the talk guidelines or posters being concerned that what they have posted on MN may make it in to the hands of the tabloid press.

We would remind you all that this is a public forum which can be read by anyone on the internet.

Because we at MNHQ are actually nice people trying to make the world a better place, we have withdrawn posts where people were concerned about
being identified,

We would also like to remind you that MN's raison d'être is to make lives easier and if there's one thing we can do with, it's some moral support.

Peace and indeed lots of love
MNHQ
