What an effing joke, not having posted on here recently - until this particular email from the Gods who are MumsNet!

Hi Tappergirl,

We wanted to drop you a line about your posts on Mumsnet, because we've have had a few reports from other posters about them, particularly your posts on the step parenting threads. And when we took a look, we could understand why other posters thought they broke our Talk Guidelines (www.mumsnet.com/info/netiquette).

We know that step-parenting has become quite a fraught area of the site, and that two opposing 'camps' of posters seem to have emerged. Our take on this is that everyone is welcome to post in the Step-parents topic - so long as they do so within our Talk Guidelines - and we'd really appreciate it if everyone concerned in the bad feeling could step back a bit and concentrate on the issues raised by each thread, rather than thrashing out ongoing disputes with other posters.

Our aim is to make parents' lives easier by pooling and sharing advice and support, and we ask members to respect each other's opinions, even when they don't agree with them. We do understand that everyone can get a bit het up on the internet from time to time, but we'd be grateful if you could bear this in mind in future.

Step parenting is never easy, so we think a bit of peace, love and support wouldn't go amiss. And please rest assured that you are by no means the only poster we're contacting about this.

Thanks and best,
MNHQ

I hope Flossy returns at some stage. I found her posts interesting.

It was clear fairy was referring to the person who did that to flossy was not actually you brd.
I am relieved that it was clear to you, at least, Maybe.
I don't think that it is at all clear. If she wishes to make it clear, she has the opportunity now to do so. If she does not wish to make it clear, than I do very much question her motives and consider it a tactic of harassment.

TheFairyCaravan · 19/08/2014 10:26

Why was post deleted?

Its fine for brd to accuse me of bullying her, but not the other way round!Hmm

NickiFury · 19/08/2014 10:32

I think Flossy is finished with you, as is her right to be. Get over it.

AmyMumsnet · 19/08/2014 10:34

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your reports. We are taking a look at the thread and in the meantime we'd be ever so grateful if you could all take a look at the talk guidelines and possibly step away for a bit if you feel yourself getting worked up.

Amy I'm not getting worked up, I'm getting fed of being accused of being a bully and harassing a poster, when I am doing no such thing! That poster is hounding me in post after post, after post! Yet when I suggest it is actually them my post gets deleted!

NickiFury · 19/08/2014 10:41

The deletions seem inconsistent Amy, their are lots of accusations of bullying flying about but only fairy has been deleted.

MirandaWest · 19/08/2014 10:43

brdgirl, if it wasn't you who was bullying Flossy then you wouldn't need anyone to confirm it, as you would know that you weren't.

No one on here has to reply to anything anyone else posts. You can't make them I'm afraid.

Pagwatch · 19/08/2014 10:47

AmyMumsnet

I've sent an email asking if you could have a look at several threads. Could you let me know if it fails to reach you and I'll send it again.

Ta.

NickiFury · 19/08/2014 10:47

There not their! Blush

AmyMumsnet · 19/08/2014 10:56

Hi everyone, apologies if the deletions appear inconsistent, it's because we're working through the thread and reports, not because we're trying to take sides or anything more sinister.

We're now going to suspend the thread to give us a chance to catch up and respond to people.

We're a bit concerned about the accusation that personal details have been gathered and posted somewhere on Mumsnet. If anyone wants to email us and give us a bit more information on this then please feel free to do so.

And Pag, I have received your email.

Phew!
