@NimbleQuail did you post recorded or free post? Not sure if that makes a difference. I rang yesterday and the person I spoke to said mine were scanned in on 26th May. Hoping it'll be 4/5 weeks like many others!

My scan date was 14/05 and I’ve received a payment of £428 today. Can anyone work out what my child has been awarded?

I sent the forms in after the deadline so it should be backdated to the sd.

That’s for MR so in total I think I’m on week 64
forms requested 23/3/25
NC SD was 2/5/25
awarded MRC August
MR form SD 23/9/25
been with DM since 5th April

My scan date is the 12/06 for nc hopefully there only taking 5 weeks like everyone's saying 😀

Ahhh I see!, that makes more sense😂. Got to collect some more evidence for my MR they’ve give me until September to get everything I need

I’d be tempted to just do a NC tbh with the original evidence & additional evidence as NC seem to be processed much quicker than MRs

I’ve been thinking about doing it as a NC but wasn’t sure, I’ll collect all my additional evidence and then go from there and hopefully this time they’ll award

19.04.26 - sent the form back (normal post)
14.05.26 - text to say form received (SD)
18.06.26 - backdated payment received

I’ve not yet had a text or letter, I was worried it wouldn’t be backdated as I sent it back just 6 days before the cut off via the normal post, however I did write on the top of the form and evidence papers “posted on 19.04.26” which I think will have helped.

I was told date it was posted, or received are irrelevant as it’s the scan date they use to calculate award date

Hi everyone, anyone heard anything with a scan date of around 21st May, NC, seem to be getting close to in and around that date now but heard nothing so far here

My scan date was 20th may was awarded last Tuesday, still not had back payment yet was award MRC

I have woken upto a payment of £856! I'm guessing that it's MRC and LRM. I originally called for forms on 24th April, scan date 20th May! I'm so happy, this has been such a stressful wait! X

Oh amazing news, still nothing here, fingers crossed it won't be too long. What area are you in just out of interest. I know some areas will probably be busier than others

Usually the first payment is the backpay from date awarded to when decision is made - in our case, award date is 30/04 and payment was received on 01/06 (they declined to backdate due to being scanned after deadline to return even though a DWP home visiting team officer took the form with them on 07/04 and left a receipt so a DM could have agreed to backdate to when we phoned)

I never called them I printed the form and sent it and was scanned 20th may as I received a text, unfortunately they messed the dates up and that's why didn't receive back pay yet but they admitted to messing up and are currently sorting it for me

Does anyone know how to speak to the tribunal service via phone? I’ve tried a few options and just getting to a robot recording telling me I don’t need to chase things. I know I don’t - but I want an update! DWP were meant to respond by 20th May, heard absolutely nothing from them or tribunal. So that’s currently 35 days past the deadline. The live chat option does not appear for me either.

Hi, I am in the same situation, DWP had until 18th of May to respond and they didn’t. I found this email address [email protected]
for the tribunal and they got back to me after 10 days and told me they are going to send me a letter. In the letter they gave DWP another 4 weeks to respond, so now they have until 12th of July.

Thank you, I emailed and had this response also but just not received any letters. It’s been a month since the email so I think time to chase for an update. Everything takes so long!

I only got the letter last Thursday but the date of the letter was the 14th, it took almost 2 weeks to arrive. You should email them again.

My sons scan date was 14/05/2026, they requested his birth certificate which I posted 01/06/2026, recieved a letter today dated 11/06/2026 that he has been rejected, just done the MR over the phone so back to waiting now!!

@Razz50 did they give reasons for rejecting? Sorry to hear this!
