I have a pending payment for tomorrow scan date was the 16/6 I’m really surprised how quick. Haven’t received a letter yet

Not so much of an update for anyone going through the tribunal process but the DWP were mandated to respond to my child’s appeal by today. This was the final warning on a directions notice. They haven’t responded…. Of course. So it looks like the appeal will now be listed to proceed without the DWP input or evidence. They will just go off what I have uploaded and what I say at the face to face hearing.

Does anyone knkw exactly how long CoC are taking? SD 22nd June. I got a text saying up to 25 weeks is this right? TIA x

Does anyone know if renewals are backdated?? My sons is up for renewal in December and I’ve just got the forms but I don’t know if there’s any point filling it in and getting it back ASAP. If they looked at it and made a decision before December would they backdate it or would it begin on renewal date?

I’m not quite sure I understand what you’re asking here! You need to fill out your renewal form as soon as possible. I wouldn’t delay sending it back.

What I mean is, if they do the renewals in date order and won’t look at it until December, is there any point rushing to send it back??

Also I’m 99% sure my child is on the wrong rate because I didn’t know how to fill the forms in last time, so if the rate increases, is there any chance of them backdating to the scan date or will the increase be from December also?

Yes you should send back as soon as possible as if it’s not sent back in time your payments could stop so I wouldn’t risk it. My award ends October and I sent the forms off last month.
Are you able to get help with the form and extra evidence this time maybe that would help? X

We received a letter saying as our child will soon be five that we can apply for the mobility element. We need to ring for the forms. Is there an easier number to call than the 0800 121 4600 number as we struggled to get through yesterday?

Any advice for me please. We qualified only in year 10 a few months ago. Will turn 16 at the start of year 11, I’ve returned the proxy form and that was accepted. It doesn’t seem quite appropriate for a schoolchild to go to PIP but that’s what I’ll be asked to do very shortly. Any advice welcome, the award was until their 18th birthday but I believe we will have to go through the PIP process at age 16. All available stamina needs to go to education health interventions and mocks/exams so I have some concerns about the timing of this process and demand/drain of an interview etc.

So I am a little confused.

I did a new claim for my daughter scan date was 20th October 2025. It was declined in January 2026 so I asked for an MR in Feb 2026 sent extra evidence.

I didnt bear anything, so I called after the 25 weeks which was end of July 2026 and was told a decision was made at the end of may 2026 and their is no claim on the system anymore. I hadnt received anything and no payment so I just assumed it was another decline.

I spent a few weeks gathering further evidence and have started a new form, but yesterday I got a call from dla with regards to my mandatory reconsideration. She asked me a few questions, I told them how I had been told a decision was made in May and I thought it was closed off the system but she said it was still on there, and she advised me a decision will be made in the next few weeks.

Im so confused, has anyone ever had this before?

Hi, original claim was sent in August 2025, my son has been diagnosed with adhd, dyspraxia, dyslexia and asthma. Originally declined and then they declined reconsideration. Now at tribunal, they had to respond to me by 21st July I rung the team yesterday they said that they have now forwarded our case onto a legal team and I will get a letter through the door, what does this mean and what is the time scales if anyone knows?

Both my children are due to renew in november....I'm really nervous read quite a few stories of children being declined at renewal.
My eldest attends specalist, but the evidence (salt/ autism assessment, cognitive tests/ OT) are all over 2 years old so I'm worried we dont have anything "new" apart from his ehcp so im worried his LRC will be stopped... hes 9 almost 10 now and still at the cognitive level of a 4 year old....I'm not sure how else to evidence his needs!

My youngest only has a IEP (currently in the middle of a ehcp) but still has seizures and had another status epilepticus seizure back in july, the latest neurologist paperwork has incorrect facts (it states she walked into the room.....she was wheeled in her wheelchair!) And they noticed no issues with gait, tone or movement.....again she didn't move from her chair and this was never assessed during the appointment. So I can't send that. But we do have reports from school and her reduced timetable. She is on HRC LRM again I'm worried we don't have enough new evidence we're waiting on a new OT report & cognitive function test however both tests she refused to cooperate so hoping we can get rebooked in. It's so stressful!

Hi, does anyone have a recent MR timeline please? Particularly MRs submitted/scanned in June or July — when was yours received and have you had a decision yet? Trying to get an idea of current waits. Thanks 😊

Someone above said around 3 months. We have been waiting for around 2 months now and haven't heard anything yet.

Mine was received 6th July. I called on Friday and was told it's now in the queue waiting for a decision maker, but no idea how long it'll sit there! Do you know what date yours was received, or have you called them at all? x

I haven't actually called them as I am all prepared for a ridiculously long wait. Was thinking of calling once it's been approx 12 weeks.

Might be worth giving them a call Tuesday rather than waiting until 12 weeks. I only rang mine because I was curious and found out it had reached the queue for a decision maker — they don't seem to proactively tell you what stage it's at. x

I phoned and mine was received the 7th July, so very similar to yours. Please let me know if/when you hear anything, I will do the same.

Ah wow literally a day apart. Did they say what stage yours is at when you called? Mine was waiting to be allocated to a decision maker when I called last Friday. I’ll definitely update you when I hear anything x

Nope, just said it hasn’t been looked at yet and they couldn’t give any further information and asked me not to call back!!

Omg, how rude! I’ve found speaking to enquiries (option 4) are a lot more helpful. I spoke to a lady when I first submitted mine, she said call as many times as you like, that’s what we are here for. Think it’s just bad luck to get someone grumpy having a bad day!
