Crocs - if we offered Mumsnetters a discount, do we need adult sizes?

So we are hoping to get a Crocs discount partner on board and we've found one who will do up to size 3 (ie kids). Apparently, they tell us, there's no point doing adult ones because no women will be seen dead in them... we'd be much better off with flip flops. Can this be true - will you be buying yourself a pair of Fushia Cayman's this year?
(I speak as someone who wears little else all summer but I fear I'm not exactly with it)

I would like a discount on adult sizes
I'm wearing them as slippers and will be wearing them on the beach in the summer

morningpaper · 03/03/2009 15:29

chocoalte crocs and commodes? Is that some ghastly code?

IlanaK · 03/03/2009 15:45

I wear them daily and would love discount code for them. I have them in multiple colours and couldn't care less what anyone else thinks!

Justine - where is your sense of social responsibility? You should be stamping out stuff like this, not actively encouraging us .

MamaG · 03/03/2009 16:06

NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

LynetteScavo · 03/03/2009 16:26

I already have a pair of Fushia Caymans.

I would like to get DH some,(not fushia!) so yes.

twoluvlykids · 03/03/2009 16:30

yes

homicidalmatriach · 03/03/2009 16:37

I wear them whenever I have to have surgery to walk down to the operating theatre because they go in the dishwasher beforehand. They may not want the slightly infirm as a marketing demographic though

hippipotamiHasLostFourPounds · 03/03/2009 16:53

Yes, definately. I want some black ones - I am an exam invigilator and exam season is coming up. Standing and walking for anything up to 3 hours without a break is hell on my feet
Last year I got sooo desperate I wore my turquoise gardening crocs, this year I am hoping to be inconspicuous in black)

And definately kids ones - great idea, both ds adn dd need new ones

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/03/2009 16:54

step away from the Crocs offer hippi

hippipotamiHasLostFourPounds · 03/03/2009 16:57

I just knew you would be here trying to stop me MAS

Not even in black?? Under long trousers?? Pretty please....???

cocolepew · 03/03/2009 16:59

No! Get a Converse discount instead, please.

oggsdog · 03/03/2009 17:01

Ooh, Jarm. I like those muchly.

LynetteScavo · 03/03/2009 17:01

Hippi, aren't exam invigilators suposed to wear heals so they can slowly tap tap tap up and down the hall just to anoy the examainees?

Lilyloo · 03/03/2009 17:01

oh fab will hang fire for this then needed to get 3 dc new ones!
I actually have the flip flop ones...

wotulookinat · 03/03/2009 17:03

Lilyloo, kids ones are £14.99 in Costco at the moment.

backintheUK · 03/03/2009 17:04

Yes Please (standing up) I own a pair of Fuschia crocs and I'm proud!

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/03/2009 17:38

hippi - I could allow the wearing of black ones for invigilating on health grounds

wotzy · 03/03/2009 17:48

Yes - and also what about kids with bigger feet than a size 3 (we grow them large around here you know) ?
