Crocs - if we offered Mumsnetters a discount, do we need adult sizes?

So we are hoping to get a Crocs discount partner on board and we've found one who will do up to size 3 (ie kids). Apparently, they tell us, there's no point doing adult ones because no women will be seen dead in them... we'd be much better off with flip flops. Can this be true - will you be buying yourself a pair of Fushia Cayman's this year?
(I speak as someone who wears little else all summer but I fear I'm not exactly with it)

Can't beat them for camping, handy for boating, and irreplaceable for rushing out into the garden with a vomiting cat

georgiemum · 03/03/2009 13:15

how much of a discount?

Fimbo · 03/03/2009 13:21

Yes, my dd is 10 and nearly an adult size 5.

I also want to buy some for work.

Tommy · 03/03/2009 13:21

yes please

wilbur · 03/03/2009 13:38

Am in two minds - would not be seen dead in them mainly, but am wondering if for a beach hol in wet Wales they might not be [whispers] quite useful. Dh would divorce me for sure, though. Will def buy for kids.

Flier · 03/03/2009 13:40

I have Mary Jane crocs, I wear them everyday as slippers and also wear them outside in the summer. I want to buy the crocs that look like flip flops (can't remember the name). Can't believe your supplier has stated this!

bratnav · 03/03/2009 13:43

big girl sizes too please, I will be massively pg this summer and plan to wear little else (on my feet)

AllBuggiedOut · 03/03/2009 13:46

Wore my Sassari Crocs loads last year, so definitely need adult discount too!

Fimbo · 03/03/2009 13:48

And a wee discount on jibbitz (sp?) too please.

Fimbo · 03/03/2009 13:49

Not that the jibbitz are for me!

nailpolish · 03/03/2009 13:57

i am on my feet for 13 hours and i find them fab
so there you go
id guess about 50% of my work colleagues wear them too

DrewPWiener · 03/03/2009 13:57

Will they do the woolly ones too? My dd1 wants some of these.

(I won't be buying any though...)

funnypeculiar · 03/03/2009 14:14

Have I missed a month somewhere - surely it's not the beginning of April yet?

oggsdog · 03/03/2009 14:21

How much of a discount?

I have 3 pairs but none of them are actual Crocs ( Gumbies and cheap £4.99 versions).

They are fantastically comfortable. I'm wearing a particularly nauseating pastel pink pair at the moment (only for indoor use).
I have navy and black versions too which I have no qualms about wearing outside.

squeaver · 03/03/2009 14:34

This is a joke surely?

Oh good God, it's not.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 03/03/2009 14:34

I wear them

Sometimes.

swampster · 03/03/2009 14:41

Crocs are disgusting. And disgustingly comfortable - and light! Mine were perfect for wading through the gore and muck in the hospital shower when I had DS3.

morningpaper · 03/03/2009 14:43

I bet they are good for that swampster

Don't they get sandy and annoying at the beach?

Don't you get soil in them in the garden? And can you really get a decent purchase while DIGGING with a croc? They look too flimsy.

Onlyaphase · 03/03/2009 14:45

Yes please to discount on adult crocs - best thing in the world for letting out dogs in morning, camping, gardening, beaches and summer walks. Also v good for pregnant ladies with swollen feet!

DrewPWiener · 03/03/2009 14:50

what has happened to this site?

nailpolish · 03/03/2009 14:59

i find it difficult to release the break on a commode wearing crocs, now you come to mention it, MP

DanJARMouse · 03/03/2009 15:06

NP I know what you mean, i wore crocs while doing care work, and its a bugger! Same for the hoist brakes too.

I switched to a different sort of croc rather than caymans and that helped loads.

I cant find the ones ive got on a web site though
