Xenophobia, homophonic, transphobia

spstchmu · 29/06/2026 01:52

Are you gonna do anything about it? Like, i know the line is that shoving the madness in the feminism board means it's not transphobia. And I know it's been done to death but I'm sick of it. It's not acceptable. Xenophobia, racism and homophobia also increasing.
And no. I won't leave. This is the biggest forum of its kind and it needs to represent and respect us all. And care that it's not.

You seem to have missed this question addressed to you. Could we have your expert input please?

Hello there, you seem to know what you're talking about.
I am interested in finding out the difference between a cis man and a trans woman; you are quite firm that there is one.
I am keen to understand, and learn, and would appreciate your input.

I’ve said I’m not an expert.

The tone of your message is badgering.

@TheyAreLovelyLovelyPeople I’m not an expert and I’m not trans myself so I can’t provide you with an answer that will satisfy the apparent need to come to a definition.

But some of the things I think about are

  • none of the trans men and women I know seem to have made a ‘choice’, about their gender identity any more than we make choices about sexuality. It seems to be innate. And I believe that people shouldn’t be ‘othered’ for something that they have no choice over.
  • Scientists have not yet agreed what it is that makes people transgender, but there are studies that suggest genetic variation, which is a biological phenomenon. I’m not remotely qualified to comment on this.
  • none of the trans people I know reflect the caricatures I see portrayed on these boards - ‘bearded men in tutus’. There is lots of variation in terms of how much they want to do to affirm their gender.
  • history is full of transgender and gender fluid people. It’s not a new thing. But western society - based on the church? - has generally promoted legally binding male-female relationships. Possibly for reasons of social and economic control. We are socially conditioned from an early age to favour these models. It’s only in the last few decades that being anything other than heterosexual has been acceptable in the UK. I think many of the younger generation are more aware and open minded about gender identity.
  • I worry like anyone else on the boards does about women’s safety. The men who have hurt me and all the women in know have been heterosexual cis men. Transwomen, in my view, are not the problem here.

Firstly if that were true, we wouldn't be seeing males with a midlife crisis who were all blokey and wearing beards for 40 years suddenly decide to become a woman. If it were innate in them, they'd know as a teen. For some, it clearly is a sexual midlife fetish (I said some, not all).

There are 2 studies only, and neither of them are remotely valid. There is poor control, bias, and lets face it they haven't even found a gay gene yet. If it were biological, then you wouldn't have 50 year old men and 60 and 70 year old men after a long and happy life living as men suddenly deciding they are women, and choosing to wear only fishnets and very short skirts.

Transvestites (crossdressers) have existed for years, transgender is a newer concept. Back centuries, men wore dresses and gowns and regalia but they were never calling themselves women. Women also often wore trousers. They still knew they were women and were not 'gender fluid' because of the clothing they wore.

So because you weren't hurt by a transwoman and are all 'I'm alright Jack, stuff you', that means the hundreds of women and girls such as the victims of these TW 'don't exist', right? Because you personally didn't experience it, it 'didn't happen' and their trauma is not real. Right? Right?

More personal attacks and badgering.

Judging everyone on the basis on the behaviour of a few. Caricatures.

They know full well that it comes down to sexist stereotypes, and it doesn’t sound great.

No personal attacks or badgering at all, it is called having a discussion.

We judge males on the basis of being males. That's the entire point. However, on the topic of 'judging everyone', you believe transwomen are ok because you personally never experienced anything. So you are calling victims liars, because it never happened to you. Funny how you never answer anything put to you, you have no reply when shown transwomen offenders. No reply whatsoever. You have no argument. You refuse to engage. Then you pull tone-policing as an excuse not to answer. It's all very transparent.

That will be a 'No' then?

Why can TRAs never answer the simple question of how to distinguish between a man & a transwoman? If they expect to be able to enter female single sex spaces then we need a simple means of telling a brave & stunning transwoman from Perving Pete the Plumber

It’s not about judging all trans women based on the behaviour of a few (seems like more than a few I reckon.) It’s about risk assessment. The fact is they are all men. If some men are permitted to enter female spaces, why not all of them? Just let all the men in. Problem solved.

I too would like to know how to distinguish between a trans woman and a pervy, dangerous man, @Darker.

Maybe proponents of gender ideology should ask themselves why they can’t answer such a simple question.

Can you not see that your comment is transphobic?

Lots of perpetrators out there. Men, and women, and trans people.

We distinguish the dodgy ones the same way for we do for everyone - gut feeling, observation of questionable behaviour etc.

I’d much rather be in the company of someone who is openly trans than feeling like I’m with someone who is hiding that part of themselves away.

Chersfrozenface · 02/07/2026 12:24

Without an explanation of how to tell the difference between a transwoman and a man we, and anyone reading along, can only come to the conclusion that there is no difference.

How is it remotely 'transphobic'? It's a comment pointing out the obvious. How do we tell a good male, from a bad male? And since we can't tell, why should we not be able to keep all males out of female spaces, since we can't tell and don't know?

What is it about female only spaces excluding all and every and any males, don't you understand?
