Ads covering whole page.

I've attached a picture.
The advert comes up, covers the whole page and you have to click off the page to remove it.
I've had to go off this page three times to write this.
The adverts like the coop one that cover most of the page are annoying but this advert makes the site unusable.

Morning, everyone.
It’s been a tricky one to pin down, unfortunately, but we’ve now completely switched off the ad unit we think was causing the issue.
If you spot the problem happening again from this point onwards, please do let us know - it’ll really help us narrow things down and get it properly sorted.
Thanks so much for your patience, and we’re really sorry for the inconvenience.

Still happening. It’s really frustrating as it’s happening really often. I can’t remember what it was yesterday, but today it seems to be about prostates?

Still ongoing for me too.

OverlyFragrant · 14/10/2025 13:07

Still happening here

Topseyt123 · 14/10/2025 13:07

Still happening here. Even more often if anything. It's often about "scalable" something and "executions" whatever that means.

Infuriating and making the site more and more unusable. I might even leave if it can't be stopped.

Sunshine99999 · 14/10/2025 13:24

Still happening.

BeckyAMumsnet · 14/10/2025 13:31

Hello, everyone - can you let us know if it's still happening as of now?

Screen recordings can be sent to [email protected] - thank you.

Neeroy · 14/10/2025 13:37

Me too. So annoying!!

Bloody useless. It's happening almost all the time now. Get it right, or just turn all the ads off for now until it can be worked out. Otherwise many of us will stop bothering.

DontMowMyMeadow · 14/10/2025 13:48

Yes still happening here.

Seems to be once it's on a page it's impossible to go back to it, but that's just my observation.

Still happening. Don't know how to do a recording. Can't see my comment to add a screenshot.

Sunshine99999 · 14/10/2025 14:00

It’s actually worse when on this thread! I have learnt how to screen record now though so there’s something good to come from it.

How do you record?

FlamingoBiscuits · 14/10/2025 14:08

GinLimeandLemonade · 14/10/2025 14:12

Still happening here - "Free Hammonds Brochure" was the latest one I could make any sense of 🙃

Theunamedcat · 14/10/2025 14:24

This is ridiculous 8 cant see anything

saraclara · 14/10/2025 14:36

I thought it had improved, then it started again. When I came to this branch to say so, it happened instantly. Now three times in one minute

It’s just started happening for me today.

I’m a web dev who manages ads on sites, and honestly MN, whoever you have managing your ads needs to be sacked. You’ve had years of blatant incompetence at this point.

I'm not a web developer but I can't help thinking the same. There is no other site or forum that I visit that has the number of problems with ads that Mumsnet does. In fact I can't remember them having ANY bugs caused by ads.

Lougle · 14/10/2025 14:46

Is there any update @BeckyAMumsnet or @PipMumsnet ? I'm writing this with no idea if what I'm writing because there's is a big white box boxing the page.

Seeline · 14/10/2025 15:01

Absolutely still happening @BeckyAMumsnet

ringsnthings · 14/10/2025 15:01

It definitely seems much worse today for me.

50ftQueenieeee · 14/10/2025 15:06

It's much worse today something about executions and scalable. Happens all the time

Doobadee · 14/10/2025 15:06

Came back to check. Still happening.

Tryingtokeepgoing · 14/10/2025 15:06

I have just had this with an Aldi ad...very frustrating. Do advertisers understand that when this sort of thing happens their brand is negatively impacted?
