Ads covering whole page.

I've attached a picture.
The advert comes up, covers the whole page and you have to click off the page to remove it.
I've had to go off this page three times to write this.
The adverts like the coop one that cover most of the page are annoying but this advert makes the site unusable.

Same. Can only see a few lines of thread at the bottom of the oversized ad. Chrome. Android phone.

Frustrating but as a positive am taking it as a hint from the universe to get off my phone on my day off and get up and out...

Agh!!! I'm now writing this in the 1cm of screen not covered by the ad!!!

Threads are unreadable. Adverts open and cover the whole page on iPhone. No way to exit it. Have to refresh page. Get a few posts down before it happens again.

Yep. And then a message came up about going ad free by subscribing to premium. Are they perhaps trying to exhort us to subscribe to premium as the requests haven't been very successful?

I reported my post earlier to alert mumsnet, they've just emailed back to say they're aware and looking into it.

No I didn't, I used it to indicate strongly encourage rather than force. Exhort and extort have different meanings.

Happening to me too - innocently scrolling and suddenly there's this oversized ad covering the screen.

I know. I was trying to make a joke but it fell flat. 😳 Obviously the grumpy face was for MN not you!

Still happening for me too, so infuriating! Hopefully MNHQ get on it fast snd and can resolve the issue.

It just happened 5 times in two minutes. And of course, everytime I refresh it takes me back to the top of the page and by the time I scrolled back to keep reading, it happened again.

I still have not read a full page of that thread I was trying to read.

Now I am in a cycle of having to stop the video ads at the top of the screen and I just did that when the page was taken over.

Sorry MNHQ this is becoming unworkable today.

Hello, and thanks to everyone who’s sent through screenshots and especially to those who’ve managed to capture screen recordings. We really appreciate it.
We’re looking into this as a priority and we’re sorry it’s affecting your ability to read threads.

If anyone else is able to send a screen recording showing the scrolling issue (and any ads visible at the time), that would be incredibly helpful. Recordings let us see exactly how and when the problem appears on different devices, which makes it much easier for us to pinpoint what’s going wrong and fix it.
