Ads covering whole page.

I've attached a picture.
The advert comes up, covers the whole page and you have to click off the page to remove it.
I've had to go off this page three times to write this.
The adverts like the coop one that cover most of the page are annoying but this advert makes the site unusable.

Not sure how to add a screen recording but its really bad this morning. Its happening on various threads and sometimes just loading the active threads.

It’s been a tricky one to pin down, unfortunately, but we’ve now completely switched off the ad unit we think was causing the issue.

Whatever was done, has had no benefit at all.

I seem to be OK on my laptop, but MN is just unusable on my Android phone at the moment.

It's really bad this morning, it's happening right now as I type this - can't see a thing!

I have just scrolled for about five minutes and it did not recur. Not definitive but earlier I would get the blank page within seconds.

Yep, it’s really bad this morning. It’s happening every couple of minutes. The site is basically unusable at this point. I’m going to have to do my ironing instead with I am very unhappy about.

I'm now using Duck Duck Go as suggested. Can anyone tell me if I import all my passwords from Google will they be lost from Google? I'd like to hedge my bets for a bit.

I’m a web dev who manages ads on sites, and honestly MN, whoever you have managing your ads needs to be sacked. You’ve had years of blatant incompetence at this point.
