I am being plagued by a Taylor Wimpey advert. It takes up the whole page and makes it impossible to scroll. Please get it removed or made smaller.

Another one with the ridiculous Amazon ads that you can’t click off

Holiday24 · 11/12/2024 11:28

I'm having this today too! Can't read the threads and no way to click out of the advert?!

Mrsprofessor83 · 11/12/2024 12:42

Same here! Driving me nuts!

Lifestooshort71 · 11/12/2024 20:00

Yup. Massive Amazon ads!! I'm giving up for tonight and going to read a book instead - it's just so irritating.....

CraftyNavySeal · 11/12/2024 20:56

Got huge Amazon cat food add, no cross to close it, doesn’t go away when you click on it.

WingBingo · 11/12/2024 21:09

This appeared on active threads

Just pitching in with this monstrosity that I've been seeing today. It stays covering half the page when your scroll and doesn't seem to go away.

I'm on Google pixel 9 using Google chrome to browse.

I'm surprised there's no response from MN.

mackerella · 12/12/2024 08:28

I'm also getting massive Amazon ads blocking threads with no way to dismiss them (I'm using a Pixel 6a on Chrome - is it a Pixel problem?)

MistressoftheDarkSide · 12/12/2024 13:26

Big Amazon ads for me too!

BlackHillsofDakota · 12/12/2024 16:25

Came here to say the kitchen aid one is driving me mad! Wouldn't buy one on principle now, so intrusive.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 12/12/2024 20:43

This is new for me I’ve just started getting the Kitchen Aid full page ad, iPad running Safari. Although I guess I’ll probably have to put up with it as it appears mumsnet don’t do anything about it.

MsDogLady · 12/12/2024 21:26

I am losing patience with the state of things (unrelenting KitchenAid ad), and may withdraw from the site soon. After several weeks, this should have already been remedied…

TinyTear · 13/12/2024 13:51

four kitchen aid ads in a row just now!

Yes, I've decided I'm out til the New Year. Mumsnet clearly don't give a shit about how the giant ads impact their users, they're just enjoying the money it brings in at this time of year. Chrome has crashed on me for the last time, I'm off to download candy crush or something instead...

CulinaryPumpkin · 15/12/2024 09:08

I'm also having issues with massive Amazon ads covering the page with no way to click out of them. Can't read the content or click any links at the top of the page because the ad is covering them. On mobile (android). Looks like I'm not the only one with this issue.

Simonjt · 15/12/2024 09:12

I’m getting the add the moves with you too, so I opted to use my text to voice software (which is actually designed for those with visual impairments), the add blocks it completely. So mumsnet also don’t give a shit about users with a visual impairment either.

MumblesParty · 15/12/2024 13:07

I just started getting these huge ads a few days ago. Very annoying

NerdWhoEatsMedlar · 15/12/2024 19:32

Makes sense @Simonjt if MN has a problem with something like AdSense web crawler. MN servers must be quite strained. With not enough leeway you risk things getting stuck in a loop and the AD never gets the shut down command. Those big ads used to pop up, take control for 5 seconds and then close, now they just stay.

@HebeMumsnet , @JoMumsnet you must employ people who are more up to date than me.

Stuffineed · 15/12/2024 19:36

Oh I thought I’d accidentally been tapping something that brought it up.

NewName24 · 15/12/2024 19:55

@MNHQ ???

Novella2012 · 16/12/2024 08:03

Still happening on every thread.

I've had enough now.

Same, and the lack of response from MNHQ is compounding the issue.
