Can't scroll past some adverts

I'm on an android phone using chrome, on some threads I will reach an advert and then cannot scroll past it!

If I remember rightly, I saw a thread saying the same thing l, so I didn't post as I assumed it would be fixed, it still seems to be happening though!

I'm not sure how tech are having trouble replicating it when it's happening literally every second thread for me and has been going on for 2 months now. Just happened on the aushwitz thread now. Google Chrome on Android, mobile site.

I'm off, enough of being fobbed off and nothing being done about it.

This thread has been running for 2 months and the examples are just now being sent to Tech. It is a very leisurely way to run a digital business.

Incidentally MNHQ if I didn't have adblocker enabled the site would be totally unusable on mobile.

Every now and then the site stops working for me with the ad blocker and a message pops up essentially telling me I'm not allowed to use the site unless I disable it. So I do, for a few minutes, then turn it back on again. It seems to work for a while, before the cycle happens again!

And again. I'm amazed at how long it's taking to sort this.

The thing that frustrates me most is that my entire phone freezes when I get stuck on Mumsnet. I struggle to get any buttons to respond and usually have to do a soft reset or restart of the phone. Is this causing damage to my phone and leaving a dodgy footprint?

Perhaps if the android app worked like the apple app less people would have to use the browser version on their phones.

What adblocker do people recommend for an android?

I have an enormous godawful advert for Malta on this thread, that I couldn’t scroll past:

This is happening to me using chrome. I have to minimise the window and reopen it to get past the ad.

Froze for about 5 minutes tonight. Went off and did other things, came back and still frozen.

This happens to me on nearly every thread. Using an Android phone and chrome browser.

I’ve installed an ad blocker now, and all fine. Sorry, Mumsnet.

@Judystilldreamsofhorses can I ask which one you installed please? I am so fed up of this issue.

Been debating starting a thread of my own. I'm on iPhone on the app and while not freezing totally it "pauses" then jumps about 5 posts down! So then I have to scroll back up the way to get to where I was - annoying

This morning has been the worst yet, the site is slow and not loading properly on threads and even when going to the topics page. I have super fast broadband and every other website is loading immediately. I’m using the website on Safari.

Please sort it out!
